Ok, I am sick of hearing how Val didn't understand him, um hello, he never opened up to her about everything, he didn't give her a chance!! She did everything for him.Now this councilor is somehow the savor???!! Hello, she understands him cause she's a councilor and he opens up to her and the group! Nothing special there, it's her damn job! She is not more understanding than Val and would have left him in a minute if he did that stuff to her. I hate that Val is being pictured as Not Understandin ...more

Ok, so I finished this book this weekend. I will have to say that I was extremely excited to read this book when the author said that she was writing Ethan's story. I have alot in common with Ethan and understand his character, being a recovering drug addict with 8 years sober. I did alot of things myself that people would shun me for if they knew.

With that being said, the reason that I gave this book 2 stars is this; Was this Ethans story? YES. Did he want to get sober and redeem himself? YES.

BOOK REVIEW: Rock Bottom (Bullet, #2) by Jade C. Jamison

“I know you think you know me. Like everyone else on this whole goddamn planet, you hate my ass. I realize I deserve part of it, but you’ve only heard Valerie’s side of the story
- you don’t know shit about me.
Probably the only person who really knows me is Brad... and even he doesn’t know everything.
I know its easier to have a black-and-white picture. Gray isn’t always easy to process. But guess what, folks? I’m deep in the gray...and, if

Hello it is a HEAVY METAL ROCK STAR Book! I'm dead serious I was that freaking happy like totally OVER THE MOON! I couldn't WAIT for Ethan's story ~ In Bullet, there were times I wanted to chop his well you know off but deep down I had a feeling there was WAY MORE to him then just this gorgeous guitarist who enjoyed his vices (drugs, alcohol & sex) more than the things that really mattered in life! Yes this book had me...

I am giving this book 4 stars, because I think the author is totally sweet and I loved Bullet.

This book, well my review will be short and sweet.

Ethan isn't a monster, he was addicted to drugs and it's horrible the things he went through in his past..

However..

He blames Val and I don't like how he treated her.. He should have been at her feet begging her to forgive him, and I wanted to hear that he still loved her, I felt like his whole relationship with her was a lie and the way he treated her b

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler-free. This book does not end with a cliffhanger. I recommend reading Bullet by Jade C. Jamison (book 1) before reading Rock Bottom…but this book can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone. 4.5 – 5.0 stars!

Ethan Richards is in one of the biggest rock bands of all time. But the only thing “rock” about his life is the hard rock bottom he has hit. Before he entered rehab (again) the only tracks he was laying were the trac

A heart shaped lump is stuck in my throat...
Wow, just wow... I'm having trouble finding the words to describe my feelings about this book that I just finished. My emotions are still too raw. So, here goes. I loved Ethan in Bullet (make sure you read it first!) I always fall for the broken ones and and forgive them for all the crap they put me through as long as they get it right in the end. I am so so so glad that Jade gave Ethan his own book, I really needed the closure for my broken heart. I N

I wanted to start this series, but after reading the description of book 2, I don't know if I want to start at all. I hate stories where a guy treats a woman like shit, only to change and be wonderful for the next woman. How nice when another woman gets the benefit of a "great" guy when the woman who loved him and stuck by him through all his shit got the crappy version. Lets just gloss over everything and throw in a pity party so he can have a happy ending. And a drug counselor???? THAT's his l ...more

Once again I Loved the writing, the storyline not so much. I am still struggling with book 1 and how PO'd I was. As much as I wanted and expected a different ending for book 1 I am thrilled with Val's choice, now. I felt this book was way too much "Poor me no one understood me". I was sick of hearing it already. I do get what he went through was really tough and a hard thing to overcome but It seemed too much blame was dished out. Ethan in my opinion never gave anyone a chance to help him or eve ...more

In Rock Bottom we pick up where Bullet left off, but now we get Ethan's perspective. He is in recovery in a way that he hasn't been before. Losing his family, his friends, and his music finally brought him to a point where he was willing to deal with his real problems. He meets Jenna, an addictions counselor, who struggles to keep him in recovery while she deals with her own personal issues. They are quickly attracted to one another, but both have some serious concerns based on their respective ...more

Wow! I don't even know where to begin. I really didn't like Ethan at the end of Bullet. I wanted to keep not liking him, but at the end of Rock Bottom I cried for him. This book touched me in a way no other one has.

Ethan hid a lot of secrets from Valerie, Brad and the rest of the band. He is has a tortured soul, he's broken. He tries to pick up the pieces of his life. Rehab and counseling, through this he meets Jenna. I liked Jenna instantly. She too has a past, though addiction to drugs and al

Okay so can I can say I really Loved this book. I kinda hated Ethan at the end of Bullet. Well no actually I hated him while reading all the book. BUT this book made him shine.

In this it start's when he is out of rehab and us seen someone for his addiction. His doctor then tells him he thinks he should visit a weekly meeting, that it would help his progress in getting him to where he needs to be. So even though he doesn't want to,he pull's up his big boy pants and goes. Of course he goes late, mak

My love affair with Bullet & all the characters within its pages began earlier this year in 2013 .... Since then I have read every single book written by Jade C Jamison & love them all ..... her writing style is what I love best & although you know this is a story there is realism to it !!! In BULLET I loved Ethan the handsome bad boy & front man from "FULLY AUTOMATIC" but his character took a beating when he started cheating on his then wife Val & when drug abuse took a hold on his life.

After silently cursing my way through BULLET and despising bad boy messed up in the head Ethan...it would take a miracle to understand and forgive him. Rock Bottom did just that and so much more! We hear the sarcastic, cocky tone right from the beginning as Ethan wants the reader to know that it's his turn finally to tell it like it is from his side and really...shouldn't we always be willing to hear both sides?
Author Jade Jamison finally does let us in with more details of Ethan's horrible, abu

Ethan... You may have hated him in Bullet, lets face it...he gave you so many reasons to. He was a cheating, lying, abusive, drug addict that broke Valerie's heart time and time again. But when he hits Rock Bottom, Ethan takes steps to turn his life around and in doing so discovers addiction is not his only obstacle. This book starts off after Bullet but in thoughts and dreams you are able to relive parts of Bullet through Ethan's eyes. Seeing it from his perspective doesn't make you angry, it m ...more

When I finished Bullet I absolutely hated Ethan Richards. He was a major jerk (the nice way to say what I was thinking) and I was so frustrated with him I wanted to punch him in the face. Now, we get Ethan's side of the story. He lets us in a little more and gives us the story of his childhood that has shaped the man he has become. We also meet Jenna, a counselor who develops feelings for Ethan. I was upset about that too. It seemed unprofessional and unethical to me that Jenna would act on her ...more

Oh Ethan Ethan Ethan..... How I hated you. You had the Luv of a good woman and she gave you a beautiful son and you through it all away.. For what?? For drugs and sex and a pathetic path you chose...

I never thought you would make me even like you again.... How could you ever redeem yourself??

Well enter a Jenna... The light at the end of a very very long tunnel... And you almost threw her away too, didn't you? Then you would have been a level below rock bottom....dead.

This book didn't redeem Ethan's actions in Bullet, but I did feel empathy for him. His POV really helped me to understand him better. If he continues to stay on a straight path, his character may even become loveable.

My only complaint is that the book was a bit slow/boring at times. I didn't find chronic depression and drug abuse information to be entertaining. Yet, I get why it had to be included in his story.

On the other hand, I really liked his substance abuse counselor, Jenna. She seemed li

Well let's just say that this book was horrible. It was unethical on so many levels. You have a drug and alcohol counselor who starts to date a patient but can't seem to see when said patient ( Ethan) starts to spiral down hill. Come on did she get her degree from a cracker jack box? Let's not forget about Ethan. This guy has narcissistic written all over him. He kept making references about how Val didn't know him and that Jenna got him right of the starting block... What a total looser. How ab ...more

So I started reading this and I could not remember much about bullet so I stopped and went back and read bullet again.... And I think that was where I went wrong. I should not have done that back to back because then I just kept thinking about how big of an asshole Ethan was and I couldn't get into him. And he kept harpin on Val and I loved her in the first one! It was ok and I'm glad I read it and glad he got his happy ending. And I will read the next one for sure, if there is another. I take my 5 stars seriously. sometimes I give a 4 for the story but not the writing and vice versa. this story was not only unexpected after the first book but so well written. I often struggle when a book switches from H to h point of view but this one was different. emotion written so well I didn't even have to wonder what the other thought. Well done Jade, well done. I'm officially a fan for life. Read this series friends!

I'm still not an Ethan fan! He expects Val to forget all the awful things he did. I didn't feel his remorse as much as I thought I should. I think trying to choke someone to death deserves more than I'm trying and I've been sober for 8 months and should be part of my child's life. Didn't buy it.

For those who read Bullet and thought Ethan was a asshole douche have to read this. You will come to love him or really like him. He is painted in a whole different light that makes you come to really understand him and sympathize with him.

I have been fan of Jade’s from technically the very start. When she had less that 100 LIKES on Facebook. I found one book of hers and then from then on I was hooked. I am so proud and absolutely love that she is getting the recognition that she deserves. She is a great person to know and talk to and she writes amazing books (Everything But is one of my favs). I read Bullet when it first came out and thought it was fantastic. I have a deep love for my rock star books, and Bullet quickly topped my list of favorites. When I heard Jade was writing a sequel, I mentally fist pumped. If you have read Bullet, the reason I wanted another book might surprise you. I wanted the story to continue because I loved Ethan.

Yes, you heard me, I loved Ethan. I know he did some awful things. I know he treated Val horribly. I was glad she got a HEA. It's hard to explain,
