Loved this book as a kid. Sadly it was my first and only introduction to Jim Thorpe until much later in life when he was referenced in other sports based stories.

I like the concept behind these "Power of" and "Story of" series by publisher Eagle Systems International. A great way to highlight important values with stories of exceptional individuals.

I am sad to say that I didn't know anything about Jim Thorpe until I read this book. A great story! He never played in the NFL but the trophy handed out each year in the NFL is called the Jim Thorpe award. I want to know more...do we have more books at our library...I will find out...
