In the world of the Internet and Digital Literacy, in a world where Social Media is the way to get out the word about absolutely anything and everything. Blogging is becoming a fashionable tool and something that is taking over the internet. It is rumoured with statistics that every half a second, a blog is created. Imagine that, I did a search just before on Blogs, and it told me with a live bean-counter that currently today over 4.8 million blog posts have been written TODAY ALONE. That seems ...more

Blogging for Smarties is a great tool to use when setting up a blog from scratch, but it also offered guidance, that as a seasoned blogger, I could use. While it is geared toward public speaking and setting up a blog conducive to that role, it will also introduce pros and cons of working on Wordpress.

Just as the list above indicates, (see below) this book will take the beginner from the beginning to a fully operating blog complete with plug-ins and marketing strategy. I found the book to be very

I wasn’t a total stranger to blogs or blogging (though admittedly, much of my experience was derived from a brief dalliance with the now-nearly-defunct Xanga.com) but had never really ‘stuck’ with it despite a lot of encouragement from friends—and to be honest, had been kind of intimidated by WordPress. I appre ...more

Or the view can be on a product or experience. Either way, proper blogging and portrayal of the authors view is vital to the growth of someone’s blog or website. Yvonne Wu uses her vast experience in Blogging For Smarties: Blogging for Authors and Speakers to illustrate not only writing tips but also ways to market and even make money with your ...more

For any author, speaker or creative person a blog is a great way to boost your following and your funds. A common misconception is you have to be a technical genius to start a blog – on the contrary most of the successful bloggers started out with a simple template and a name. In Yvonne Wu’s book “Blogging for Smarties” she gives you the basics, everything you need to know (and things you didn’t think you needed to know) to create your blog. Not only does she explain the lingo, compare various ...more

Blogging for Smarties is a very informative book.

I enjoyed using this book as a resource to help write my own blogs. As a self published author, musician and entreprenuer I found this book very informative from the evidence that used, the advice that it gave and the way the author clearly presented the topic.

It is very true that your blog is the key to your business as well as your ideas and so by using the lessons from this book one can learn how to attract readers and also learn fantastic ti
