Read for a Latin American History class in my final semester. The text provides several different perspectives throughout the history of Latin America. There are letters and cultural mementos throughout the chapters that can help give ideas for other relevant topics to research.

While the grammar and omission of words throughout provoked annoyance that a college text was sub par in the editing department, it was actually a decent book. I liked the encapsulated pieces on individuals or social happenings, and the rest was pretty much the history of the different nations comprising Latin America.
