I really enjoyed this book, for me I found it had a perfect blend of technical knowledge and very simplistic information. Making it a great resource for someone like me who is ambitious in the garden, but also very much a novice.
Having heard about raised beds it was really helpful to learn the science behind why they are better for nature and gardeners. The range of styles, the benefits which come with each type and a basic construction guide contained in this book has inspired my future garden project and I’m pleased to say I’ve been persuaded to include raised beds in that.
The book itself is also filled with beautiful imagery and with its attractive cover would make a lovely gift for a garden enthusiast.
If you are looking to get into gardening, I highly recommend the raised bed book! This book dives deeply into the pros and cons, designs, and how-tos of siting, constructing, planting, and managing raised bed gardens. What's more, the book provides information applicable to vegetable and flower growers, and urban, suburban, and rural gardeners alike.
