Aisling Keane and her mechanical dragon partner, Shimmer, have made an enemy.
She thought she’d killed the leader of the criminal organization that set a trap for her and Dragonfly, but he survived. Now he wants to return a double helping of the pain she’s caused him.
Jamison Hart, former SIS operative turned freelance bad guy, has his own reasons for going after Aisling. And now he has the resources of a new organization to bring to bear.
But our favorite witch is far from unequipped. With her family at her side, Aisling seeks a second wand to multiply her magical power. Shimmer continues to display increased intelligence and demands endless upgrades. Add in Victoria Watson and Mia Pederson who support the Secret Agent on a daily basis.
But will it be enough when Dragonfly comes under attack?
And can Aisling and Cait contend with the malevolence that the fox who guards her coven’s place of power sense to the east?
Aisling always wanted to be a secret agent. But you know what they say: Careful what you wish for, because an enemy just might send it.

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.
I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.
My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.
Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Aisling and her team are off on a mission that is full of mystery adventure action, misdirection, and violence leading to the conclusion. The characters are interesting well developed. I would highly recommend this series and authors too readers of fantasy horror Dragon 🐉 mystery novels 👍🔰. 2023 👒😀😡🐉
Aisling and her teams are being used quite often now and the updates are being used constantly
Aisling and her teams are being thrown in headfirst. They are given as many enhancements as they can carry or as Shimmer calls them the updates. He still feels he needs more updates all the time and seeing the enemies they are meeting he is right. Their is a spy in their midst feeding the enemy information that almost costs them everything. And an enemy they thought dead is alive and desperate to kill and torture. Aisling is still fixing things that hurt her family on her times off but those times are getting harder to find.
Aisling and her group are working on a plan to find the ones that grabbed her and Lance, at the same time they need to figure out who and how someone managed to break into their computers. There is a lot going on in this book and I could not put it down until I finished it and I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens.
Congratulations to T.R. Cameron, Martha Carr and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
I think I say this every time, but it’s so much fun watching Cameron’s growth as an author. In this case he clearly demonstrates a mastery in depicting evil.
It’s such a dramatic difference that looking back, I realize that most of his villains were kinda weak in comparison. I might even start to fear for our heroes with villains like this.
It isn’t a nonstop action piece, but it still feels that way. The only thing that bothered me was the apparent conclusion to a subplot, that felt like it was just written off, when so much more could have come from it. Regardless, Shimmer still manages to steal every scene, and Ains is a joy to get to know.
A really good stand alone series for the you get tired of the Queen B#$%&* and want to relax with a great fantasy adventure story. Well plotted with interesting characters and scenarios.
This series took a turn and it was dark and grim. I struggled to connect with the story or characters. It felt a bit OTT revenge trope. It didn’t seem to progress the relationships either.
Lots of good action Love the characters I was very worried things would go as wrong as they did in the last book Not sure what to say that would leave to being a spoiler Great story Thank you
Succinct and through with believable characters to match. A great adventure delivered with great ease. Looking forward to the next episode or book I should say.
This book had a lot of action and more information about the techno dragon. It left things were I am really looking forward to the next book in the series
Book three definitely brought Aisling, and Shimmer, into the limelight, as the newest Agents at Dragonfly.
Dragonfly is using them, a lot, here, and they are being kept as busy as they can cope with, between the various enemies, that are after Dragonfly and all it's secrets.
Aisling has a lot to deal with, between traveling to Oriceran, with her Father and older Sisters, to find the matching Wand to her own, which belonged to a distant ancestress, so that she can double up, the way that her older sister, Cait does.
Then, at work, there seems to be far too many enemies trying to attack Dragonfly!
The one they ALL want, is Jameson Hart, the ex-SIS Agent, who betrayed both his own people, and other Agencies.
Then there's the Russian group, 'Apocalypse', who deals in drugs, guns, and mercenary activities, a rather secretive group, run by Maslov Anokhin, who is determined to pay back Aisling, for the terrible fire that burned his property down, in Belarus, and caught him in the flames, too!
Then, there's someone within Dragonfly itself, who appears to be giving details away of it's inner workings, to whoever will pay for them.
But, throughout all of these problems, Aisling has a great support team, especially in her work mates Mia, and Victoria, who will be vitally important to her shortly!
Once again, this story continues with plenty of battles, quick decisions . . . and a whole host of complaints, mainly voiced by Shimmer, due to his lack - or so he believes - of the upgrades he feels he deserves!
It seems that, even when you are a Mechanical Dragon, keeping up appearances is vitally important! Lol
The storylines that mix and mingle so well in these books, continue onwards, and I'm eager to go straight on to Book Four: ' The Man In The Silver Mask', to find out what will happen next.
So, once I've finished this review, I'll go straight on to start reading book four and, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
I enjoy the series and I like the relationships that are building between Aisling and her teams. I'm not certain the deep details in the technomancy scenes are that additive to the story, maybe to emphasize the setting is in a different world? Very similar to Caitlin's story. Lots of storylines going at once, but overall not quite as divergent in the approach or relevance.
