Beautiful pictures, lots of great comprehensive info. I bought this for an 8-year-old who's obsessed with macaws. She spends hours with it!

this work is rich in glossy, full color illustrations. interesting to me, this work claims the Spix's Macaw exists in privately held breeding pairs. there is a chapter on extinct species based on a 1907 work. there is plenty on behavior and even how to make an appropriate aviary.
