Deceit, secrets, and love... What could possibly go wrong?
DM Roberts has created a masterpiece that kept me on my toes and my emotions swinging like a pendulum from one extreme to another.
Mafia Princes attend a prestigious High School where their word is law. The hierarchy is similar to most High Schools, the only difference is there are three men at the top, with the jocks and cheerleaders are on the second tier. Mean girls, bullying, and the two best friends who regardless of what is thrown at them, together they can overcome everything. Or can they?
The push and pull, hot and cold "relationship" between Jordin and Caleb is the primary focus but at ever turn these two cannot catch a break.
There's so many lies and secrets that threaten to destroy everyone involved. But the biggest shock is the cliffhanger at the end. Be prepared to rage just a little bit st times throughout the book but especially the ending. Fortunately, the next book is dud to be released in January 2024.
The secrets revealed and the heartache that ensued and the loss of loved ones brought me to tears several times. The pure entitlement of a few characters brought about rage, anger, and at times a few laughs when things backfired and the bully gets some much needed bits of Karma. Definitely recommend this series.
As always, check your trigger and content warnings. Most mentions of triggering subjects happen off page but the description of the events and the aftermath is part of the story. Spice is over three, but this book is heavy on the amazing plot with spice being a way to heighten the storyline. Absolutely worth the time to read, and I'm looking forward to see what DM puts the characters and readers through in the next book.

Dark romance.. Enemies to lovers. Mafia romance.
The start of this book is a little about the garo family then you find out about jordin and her life.
They all go to Rose bay academy.. So first day their and she meets Colton but not Saint and Caleb as they aren't there. She also meets Lexy and they seem to be making friends with each other. Lexy tells her about the hierarchy at the school and to watch out for the trio and the girls!
Now Jordin is finding out that the Garo family are rich and very powerful, they own half the town!
Saint really is a piece of work, I don't know what to think, but I think I'm like Lexy tbh.
And poor Jordin had no idea what the boys are planning!
But they have at least a little bit of a moral compass.. And that's saying it lightly.!
Caleb has a great story, feel. Sorry for him in a way
This book has mafia, secrets, buried pasts, jealousy, intrigue, spice, laughter and more.
It will grip you and drag you in, trying to fiqure out motives, relationships and it will have you liking and hating characters then changing your mind!

It wasn’t until I finished this that I realised I bought the wrong book. Having the same title should be illegal.
That being said, there were some enjoyable aspects to this and for a debut I’m honestly intrigued to see where Debbie takes her writing but a lot of editing mistakes were missed here, and a dark, spicy romance centering around 17yr olds? Really not my cup of tea.

Jordin and Caleb are so Sweet and Spicy
This is why I love TikToc! I found His to Ruin by D. M Roberts on there and have now unlocked a new author I love!
Jordin is use to moving around but this move couldn't come at a better time. After being in an abusive relationship Jordin just wants a fresh start. She meets Lexy and has an instant BFF connection! However, along with this new best friend, comes some hardships too. Jordin has unwittingly unlocked a whole slew of deeply buried secrets that cause her to be in more danger than she knows. Add in Caleb, the tall, gorgeous, dark haired, rude stranger she met on the beach and just can't quit thinking about, who also happens to be best friends with Lexy's step brother Saint, and we get a recipe for a fantastic story line! This book has so many twists and turns (check your triggers)and yummy yummy spicy scenes! I fell in love with this book and can't wait to finish the series with the next book, The Devil's Saint, that is about Lexy and Saint!

OMG is all I can say. If you love Mafia romance books this is a must read. You get to see how the alpha mafia males develop in their formative teenage years. This boom is full of Mafia ways, romance, school girl envy, family issues, and Mafia rules! I absolutely loved it. The length is perfect. It took me 7 hours to read, and I enjoyed every minute.

WOW … all I can say really is WOW.
This is a dark, mafia bully romance.
This story is about Caleb & Jordin. We also learn more about the guys Caleb, Saint & Colton and their involvement. They are part of a family mafia business.
We enemies to lovers between Caleb & Jordin. My head was all over the place reading this book with the hot and cold relationship between the two. These two are amazing though.
The smut is very 🥵🥵 once they get going.
This does end on a cliffhanger and I need the book now. I need to know what happens 🫣

I loved seeing the love hate relationship between him and Jordin. It was also nice to see the start of the relationship between Saint and Lexy, and I can’t wait to see how their story ends!

What a read! So many highs and lows, it really was a rollercoaster of a ride.
The chemistry and tension between Jordin and Caleb was burn the page scorching. They literally are perfect together. My heart broke for Caleb and few times, same with Jordin. And of course a few twists and turns chucked in for good measure. Such a great read and I'm glad I finally got round to reading your books Debbie ♥️

I devoured this story in a day and lost sleep to finish it. Caleb is the perfect grumpy, tortured MMC and Jordin is match for sure. There are twists and side stories you need to know more about, and characters you love to hate and some you just really hate!
I'm not one for spoilers so I'll just say I gasped multiple times. Five stars, 3.5 to 4 spicy peppers!

I absolutely loved it!
I laughed, cried, felt anger! So many emotions! Cannot wait for book 2😻

Really enjoyed the book and the storyline had me hooked. I finished it quickly (mostly in 1 day). I can’t wait for book 2!
Only complaint is there are a lot spelling and grammatical errors on the kindle version, found that distracting at times.

I really really enjoyed this book,I can't tell you how much I LOVED the characters in this book. The spiceee the angst the bits that has me laughing out loud, and the cliffhanger had me in shock 🙈🙉🙊. I can't WAIT to read book 2. 💗💗💗

I’m struggling so hard to get past 20% it’s so much pointless side stuff. Am I reading Caleb’s and whatever her name is story ? Or is this Lexi’s and saints cause it seems like Lexi and Saints and I’m bored to tears bc nothing has happened

Wow...the spice, the twists, the desire, the possession! Yum!
I absolutely loved the emotional layering beneath the spice.
Jordin is just a girl trying to rebuild herself after everything she’s survived, and Caleb — all dark, controlled, and deliciously mysterious — inserts himself where he absolutely shouldn’t belong. The push and pull tension between these two is constant. There's just something about the way he watches her and the way she keeps trying to resist him.
I loved how the story blends danger with vulnerability, especially in the moments where Caleb’s mask cracks just enough to make you wonder who he is beneath all that intensity. And Jordin’s strength? She’s soft, guarded, stubborn, and trying so hard not to fall for a man who could sabotage her...or become the very thing she didn’t know she needed.
The twists in their story hit exactly when they should, the atmosphere stays oh so tense, and the chemistry between them practically hums off the page. It's the “I hate that I want you” and “I’d burn the world down for you” that made me finish this book in 4 days.

ALRIGHTY THEN. D.M. Roberts’ debut book “His to Ruin”? Hook. Line. and Sinker. This dark romance has all the best tropes rolled into one: enemies to lovers, bully romance, mafia romance, forbidden romance, touch and be unalived, a SERIOUS cliffhanger… I mean what else can us dark romance readers want?! “His to Ruin” is an addicting story line with a cast of likeable/unlikeable characters. This book is full of all the mafia drama you can imagine and twists and turns that always keep you guessing. The FMC, Jordin, is not openly complex until her layers start to be peeled away. She has been through it and the MMC, Caleb, pushes her buttons and ends up being exactly what she needs. He makes her confident and defiant and she softens his hard interior and breaks down his walls. But because this is a rivalry mafia romance, the road is bumpy for sure and the ending 100% unpredictable.

Daaaammmmmnnnn D.M. Roberts you have found your calling as an Author.
This story and these characters had me hooked and on edge from start to finish.
Well.....
Until the O.M.G how can you do this to me ending???? Seriously!! I need book 2 ASAP.
His to Ruin is Book 1 in a new series so it kicks off by introducing us to our bad boys, Saint, Caleb & Colton. This is a bully romance, and these ruthless and powerful boys can be unapologetically cruel.
Caleb is our MMC in this book and this boy/man stole my damn heart. I freakin loved him, all of his layers and the growth journey he went on throughout this book.
Saint is ruthless and with his story brewing throughout I'm so damn excited for it.
And...
hhhmmm as for Colton me thinks he has a little redeeming to do when/if he gets his own book.
All of them are one way or another involved in the mafia world. When they are given I job to get some intel on a rival family....
Enter Jordin Richmond.
They were expecting a boy but Caleb was most definitely pleased with what he found.
Jordin Richmond is a beautiful girl who is new to town and has just started at the boys school.
Jordin and Caleb try to fight their attraction for each other but the chemistry they share is off the charts, undeniable and unavoidable. I was so here for it!!
I loved push and pull between them, the slow burning to burning hot spice, Caleb's possessive touch her and die vibes, the lingering angst as I waited for secrets to be revealed, and finally the fact that Jordin may be quietly vulnerable and sweet but to the boys and a few others she is sassy, strong and takes no s**t.
Special mention to her friendship with Lexy (Saint's step-sister). These two are ride or die and I loved how they had each others backs always.
This was such a great debut novel from D.M. Roberts and I can't wait for Book 2.

This is DM Roberts debut and I am blown away. We are thrown straight into learning about the boys. Saint, Caleb & Colton. Colton wasnt that big in this one and I wasnt his fan. Saint and Caleb though.. Saint is the heir to the Garo family. Caleb is his best friend. All 3 boys are part of the family business (They’re Mafia). They get some intel on the rival family and need to learn more..
Jordin Richmond and her family have just moved to town. Jordins first meeting with the boys doesnt go well, nor the second. On her first day of school she learns shes pissed off the boys that rule there.
This is a bully romance, academic setting with a mafia twist. The boys are toxic, dangerous, powerful, unapologetic and cruel. Jordin isnt a push over though, she is feisty and strong (but is vulnerable behind closed doors). She meets Lexy, Saints soon to be stepsister and their friendship is beautiful. They build each other up and support each other. Jordin wasnt in the best place when she left her old town and they were exactly what the other needed.
Caleb is pretty much smitten with Jordin from the start, but in a bad boy way. Hes possessive and gives us those touch her and die growly vibes. His growth throughout the book was amazing. I loved how he softened for her but still kept part of who he was. “Grab the headboard” 🥵 the pull they have towards each other is magnetic. The chemistry is incredible. They both fight the attraction but neither can. When they come together, god damn, the spice was naughty. They ruined each other!! I want more!! Did I cry? Ofcourse I did. Caleb completely stole my heart and I had to put this down at 90% because I was too scared to finish it. The ending, I am so mad but it sets up the next book perfectly. It wasnt a cliffhanger as such because it had to play out this way. But I am ready for book 2 now please?

Caleb, Saint and Colton. They are your typical bad boys, grown beyond their years. Tattooed, bad boys who work for Saint’s Mafia boss Eric. These boys have a reputation and boy do they live up to it.

Then you have Jordin & Lexy. Jordin just moved into town and started at her new high school. She meets Lexy & they instantly click, forming an inseparable bond. Oh, and Lexy is Saint’s step-sister now, too.

This story is amazing and has so many twists and turns. I absolutely love Caleb’s possessiveness of Jordin and how he will fight for her. I love how Jordin doesn’t take shit from anyone.

This book is left on a major cliffhanger and guys, I’m telling you. I reas this back in October/November and I HAVE CONSTANTLY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS STORY and what could happen next! I mean, GRAB YOUR SEATBELT AND BUCKLE UP!
