If you are holding this book, it means you are ready to remember the art of falling awake. Remember? Yes, indeed. Remember. You already know how. In fact, you may already be doing it. And with the remembering you will be able to dream travel to any place or point in time – real or unreal. But that is just the beginning.

So go ahead. Peak inside. And don’t forget to take one page at a time. DO NOT SKIP AHEAD. The directions may sound simple, but the effect is powerful.

See you in your dreams.

Cara Johnson has written for a number of publications, but The Dream Travelers series represent her first children’s novels.

Cara calls herself an avid dream traveler and says she has been making nightly voyages since she was a young girl. Here, in her own words, is her story.

“It’s hard to know when the dreams began. They’ve been with me for as long as I can remember falling asleep at night. But I do remember, vividly, when the dreams began to change. I was seven years old. I had been talking to corner of my bedroom for a number of months, convinced that angels were watching me. So I talked to them and laughed with them and shared my life. Then one night, as I was falling asleep, I felt myself sinking and sinking and sinking until I knew I had sunk to a whole new place. And I wasn’t afraid because I knew my angels were watching me. So I taught myself how to travel in this place and I began taking trips every night. It got to the point where I could hardly wait to go to bed.

It was during my travels one evening that I heard a message in my mind. There was a young boy about to take a trip on an airplane for the very first time in his life. He was scared and alone and needed a friend. This boy was the first child I ever helped and there would be many to follow.

Now there was time in my life when I forgot about the angels in my corner and I forgot about my dream travels. I even forgot about the children I once helped. So I wrote these stories to help me remember and I offer them to you so that you may never forget. There is magic in yourselves and it all begins in your dreams.”
