Atlantic Lives: A Comparative Approach to Early America

Web/Online Atlantic Lives is a primary source reader designed for undergraduate courses in Early American and Atlantic World History. Organized thematically, each chapter features primary source selections that place Early American History in a comparative context with the wider Atlantic World. These selections come from a wide variety of non-traditional sources, including travel narratives from West Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Features of the book include discussion questions and recommended readings at the end of each chapter as well as maps and illustrations.

Excellent selection of primary sources on the Atlantic World System. (Of course, I may be a little biased considering this was written by one of my favorite professors!)
