Astria-In love with the prince, honestly was a VERY Surprising reason AND I KNOW its because I had absolutely no expectations of this book.

Both the cover and the blurb both make the book sound like a pure erotica read.Hot Prince meets innocent heroine.Hot Prince gets it on with innocent heroine.Hot prince falls in love with innocent heroine. And BAM ! HEA :P

Lol..I can't tell you how glad I was to find out that their wa

I really enjoyed this story. Although its set in the present, there are elements of a bygone era to this. When Emily Snow UN librarian, translator and all round geek, comes face to face with Jagor Prince of Asteria at a party, sparks fly.

Jagor offers Emily a job as his aide, but it's to be with certain benefits, the benefits being provided personally by the prince. Emily can hardly believe that she is acting so out of character, but Jagor is irresistible. Asteria

This book had some great writing and some 'b' grade writing. I felt some of the book read like a quickie erotica... With the insta love and first sight lust.
And the rest of the book had the most engaging plot I've read of late.
All in all, it reads like an author's first book. Like Tiffany Reisz says don't hesitate to rewrite what you've written.
Verdict: Tanya has raw talent that needs to be refined.

Strange mashup, but entertaining nevertheless.
This was an odd read, there were a few themes mashed up in here, but somehow it worked as a book. I could not imagine the frustration of reading this as a serial, it would be awful, but as a book, I thought it was ok. There was insta-nudity, insta-sex, insta-love which made the book odd, but there was also a royal vs. military coup plot and the threat of bdsm, in the background. The bdsm was not in the forefront of this story so I can't even imagine why it was

Asteria - In Love with the Prince is an enthralling read that held my interest from start to finish. I really liked Lucy and Jagor and the cover image portrays them perfectly. While their attraction was instantaneous and "I love you" followed almost immediately thereafter, their relationship still had a surprising amount of angst and conflict to it.

A very run-of-the-mill love story in an imaginary country where women are more or less treated as chattel. The story is good in every aspect - characters are likeable, plot devices are enjoyable, story is fairly believable, etc, etc. However, nothing was really outstanding. Still, this book makes for a good escape read!

I really enjoyed the concept

I don't know if I'd want to love in a country like this. But I enjoyed the story. I wish it went a bit more into their relationship and less about the hardships of the country.

First of all: Not sure what crown prince Felipe of Spain, a.k.a prince of Asturias would think of his (almost) namesake. lol.

Anyway, I suspected I would love this book and I was right. It truly is my guilty pleasure. I really feel I need to justify my five star rating, though. True, there are so many reasons why I shouldn't give this book full score: first and foremost of course; female slavery. Yes, it is stated in this book that the women are treated as prized possessions, but we a

Just finished up 'Asteria - In Love with the Prince' by Tanya Korval.
Pleasantly surprised with this one; happened across it a while ago and had it on my TBR list, glad I finally decided to read it. It's several novella's that were consolidated into one book; (much preferred) great story with a HEA at the end. (YAY) It's about a young women, Lucy - a translator for the Embassy that meets Jagor, prince of Asteria at party. She ends up in a very heated make-out session with him and being hired the

I just couldn't. It was long, so, so long, and boring. The characters got engaged in a matter of weeks, never mind their one 'conversation' was 5 minutes where the girl learnt how he had a scar on his leg. That was it. Only conversation! The sex was boring, lacked any sort of intimacy or heat. Just don't, really really don't. You'll regret buying this book.

i really liked the book, although i felt really ambivalent with this whole slave lifestyle thing.
i liked the lovestory between lucy and jagor a lot and if it would have just been about them i would have given the book 5 stars.
anyway the author writes really well and i can't wait to read more from her.

This is straight up smut. Great if you are in mood for it. It got on my nerves that author had put some suspense/action in there. I prob would have liked it better if she just kept it smutty.

Gosh, really? A biography? I haven't been alive long enough, have I?

I live in London, renting a small part of what was once a grand old house (the roof now leaks, but I get to tell people 'I'm writing in the drawing room' which is fun). I write erotic romances - mostly contemporary, but occasionally a bit of something else creeps in. I'm h
