My entire life has been a lie: My parents didn't die in a car accident. They're not even dead. I'm not American. I'm not even human. I have strange powers, and I'm the heir to the throne of the planet Emreiana.

If I take the crown, I have to leave behind everything I have known here on Earth. I would have to say goodbye to my friends and leave behind Kyle, the boy I've lov

Hi Aeron!

The Gemini series is actually a trilogy. The last book is currently in its last stages; however publishing had been delayed as I currently had an exciting life changing event-- I just welcomed my first baby! I do apologize to my readers, though, as I had previously posted that it would be available sooner. At the time of that post, I had just graduated college, moved to another state, and started a new job. I didn't realize how much time was being consumed and before I knew it, I had missed the deadline. I promise to no longer post publishing dates until the novel is basically ready to be published. I hope this doesn't discourage you from reading the last book. Thank you!(less)

I have not read many YA novels, and decided to read this one as part of the book of the week feature being run by the Goodreads group I am a member of. I was pleasantly surprised by this debut novel by Kristen DaRay, which kept my interest from start to end.

It is a light read for a fantasy, with good pace. The interaction between the characters, especially that of Carson and her aunt or her boyfriend, was well handled, but I feel it lacked the emotional punch that could have added that little ex

Kristen DaRay's debut novel, is a wonderful first effort. Carson is a high school senior living in a small town called Alice. This is an interesting tale because Carson who has zero trouble in school and is in fact the valedictorian of the school hasn't been accepted to a single college. But the strange thing is her life is about to get a whole lot more complex, when Aaronmon sneaks into her dreams.

I think that DaRay did a wonderful job with Carson, she is not only likeable but also believable.

(For starters, I have to say that I'm not the target audience for this novel. I prefer novels written for adults, with adult characters in an adult voice, and Gemini of Emreiana is definitely a Young Adult novel, aimed at teens and at fans of that voice and style. So I've tried to adjust my reactions and opinions in this review to account for this.)

Carson’s life seems to be going okay until, despite being valedictorian she is still rejected from every college she applies to. It soon becomes clear that not all is as it seems with her family. Her mother, who she believed to be dead is infact alive, but living in a different world where she is the ruler of the land, and Carson herself, is an alien and her life is in danger because of a war she had no idea was happening. Everything Changes for Carson once Aaronmon comes into her life, he is a

Gemini of Emreiana is Kristen DaRay’s debut novel. It is a great YA/Fantasy book with a story line that is very interesting and different. It had my attention from the very beginning.

Carson is an eighteen year old girl living in Alice, a small town, with her Aunt Trish. She is a high school senior and valedictorian of her class. For a week, she has been having strange dreams of a beautiful oasis with exotic plants and waterfalls. In her dream, she hears a male voice. When she turns around there

Gemini of Emeriaia is Kristen DaRay's debut novel, and it's a fantastic first effort. It's the story of Carson, a high school senior living in small town Aemrica. Even though she's the valedictorian of her school, her life doesn't seem to be going anywhere; she's been rejected by every college she's applied to.

But Carson discovers that's the least of her problems, because she's not just an ordinary high school senior. She's not even human - she gets a shock when her "aunt" revelas to her that sh

This book is an awesome read. The environments are so vivid and realistic yet original and (in special circumstances that I’m not going to spoil) believable without question. The author does a fantastic job of making the reader believe they are present in the book.

The characters are also well thought out and well developed. As a reader sometimes it’s hard to find the connecting point to be able to empathize with the character but that issue is not present here. Every character has their quirks

I really have not read any books that were about aliens and I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it.
Carson is a alien from the planet Emreiana, and she is a princess! She has always lived on Earth and never knew she was an alien let alone the future ruler. Her parents sent her to Earth for her on protection. When she meets Arronman in her dreams her whole world turns upside down.

Carson is high school senior who lives in a small town in Alice and lives a normal life, untill one day she finds out she is an alien princess from Emreiana and that her enemies are on Earth to destroy her. Now her only choice is to leave the Earth.

I really liked this book! I loved the romance between Carson and her childhood sweetheart Kyle, Carsons confusing feelings for Aaronmon, her Emreianan guardian. This book left me with lot of unanswered questions and I can't wait for the next book of

I highly recommend this book. You get reeled in really quick and you never want to put the book down. I love the romance but also the fact that you never really know what is going to happen and you have to keep reading so you know what happens. Extremely ready for the next book of the series to come out(:

GEMINI OF EMREIANA was given to me free in eBook format in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The book starts off with the lead character, Carson Emral, daydreaming during math class. This is something, I think, that everyone can relate to. In her daydream she meets a messenger who tells her that she is really the Princess of another planet, named Emreiana and that her parents sent her and her Aunt Trish to Earth as a baby to keep Carson safe from the Bremoir, who are beings from the rival p

Carson Emrel is eighteen years old with top grades, great friends, and is in love with her boyfriend. She has been raised by her aunt since her parents were killed in a car crash when she was just a baby. Putting together her valedictorian speech and looking into college should be her biggest issues in the near future.

Things change when Carson starts having strange dreams about a guy who later shows up in her kitchen, with her aunt, and informs her she is an alien. The guy from the dream is not

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Carsona is a young woman who is about to graduate from high school as the valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA. Carson has applied to several different universities and can't wait to start college in the fall. Carson and her boyfriend Kyle have been best friends since kindergarten. Carson and Kyle have been in love with each other for a very long time. Carson wants what any human girl wants. Like go to college when she graduates an

Carson is a normal senior in high school applying to college, deciding what she wants to do with her future and keeping her relationship with long term boyfriend Kyle going. Of course when every college rejects you even though your the valedictorian and you start having strange dreams of worlds that don't exist, then something seems a bit off. Then comes a stranger that tells you everything you thought you knew about your life is false and in fact you are an alien. That's right alien. No ordinar ...more

Finding out your entire life has been a lie would be incredibly difficult to deal with. Finding out your not even human? Well, that's just a whole new level of "oh boy." That's exactly what happens to Carson during her senior year of high school. Preparing for her valedictorian speech was one of the biggest stressers she had to deal with, up until Aaronmon shows up in her dreams.

We follow Carson as she struggles to accept her new life, and let go of the lies she knew as her life on Earth. As she

I am truly shocked about all those good ratings this book received, because I couln't find a single thing I liked.

It felt generally as if the author wanted to force some background in order to write a love story. The other planets were only sketched superficially and of corse (SPOILER but actually a warning for everyone who wants to buy this book!!!!) we never got to see any of them!

That was what really bothered me the most. You get hooked on the summary about a girl who has to struggle with he

Firstly I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this awesome book.

Wow!!! I loved this book.

At first I thought that the concept is somewhat same just like the other books based on this genre but the author just stunned me there with the introduction so many twists and turns that the concept became so fresh and morphed this book into a fabulous start to an a

Carson is at the top of her senior class as a valedictorian but still didn't get accepted by any of the colleges she applied to. She soon discovered that the aunt who raised her have been keeping secrets from her. She learns that she's not an ordinary human girl but an alien princess from the planet Emreiana, with an emphatic ability. When the shock wore off, she had to make a decision whether to stay on earth or accept her destiny as a future queen to her own people.

The cover fro this book is gorgeous with the color contrast that the designer and author decided to use for this book and I think it fits perfectly with what this genre of book is about. What would you do if when you have lived your whole life in one way and world just to find out that the truth has been hidden from you. Yes maybe for a good reason but out of no-where it starts to unravel and something you didn’t know about becomes your reality. Well that’s what happens to our Carsona! The autho ...more

I absolutely loved this book. It's one of my best Young Adult Sci-Fi. With a sweet romance, intriguing characters, splendid intergalactic information and hot action, Gemini of Emreiana is on of my favorite Sci-Fi reads of the year. Carson is a wonderful character to read about, from her dealing with all the issues that comes with her being a princess of another planet to her normal teenage problems, I never have a dull moment. This book suffers from three things:

1. Way too many grammatical errors, misuse of words, etc.

2. Special Snowflake Perfect Heroine Princessssss~~~~!!! <3

3. Cliche YA plot in which heroine discovers she's special (because of course), new SUPA HAWT boy comes into her life, and she has to save the world (but generally sucks at it).
