I received this book from First Reads.

Sharmistha's story is a wonderful jaunt through her past. At the best points it feels like you are listening to a good friend. Then there are other spots that I wish more information would have been disclosed. Yet I enjoyed the opportunity to read about rural West Bengal and her immigrant experience in Thailand and America.

From Hindustan Cables Limited - Journey of a Small-Town Indian Immigrant Woman written by Sharmistha Das I learned a lot about growing up in India. Ms. Das’ dreams of coming to America and what a can do attitude can do for a person.
I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
