I highly doubt that my review of this textbook is going to be important to anyone, but here goes.
This textbook desperately needed editing. The ideas are actually helpful, and if it was edited better, I could imagine people other than the students who take Conflict Com would find it helpful to read. However, the material within each chapter is incredibly repetitive. Multiple sources will be cited, but all of them will essentially be saying the same thing. It feels like you really have to sift through the book to find the meat, which is frustrating. There are also simple copy editing errors periodically that should have been caught and fixed before publication. As someone who took the class associated with this book, the material for the class also consistently had copy editing errors, which makes the ones in this book unsurprising. However, it is the ease at which both of these could have been fixed, which drives my frustration.
