JUST THOROUGHLY INCREDIBLE! Book 2 in the Blended series adds more ingredients to the already captivating plot but focuses on Clover and Malcolm's lives. You just NEVER know what you're going to get with Erica's stories! It's as if she has a hat filled with different scenarios written on folded tiny pieces of paper that she selects at random and just goes with it. Don't get me wrong, EVERYTHING about Widow is developed to a 'T.' It's AMAZING! The fact that it IS so unpredictable adds that much m ...more

Since I first read Restraint, Erica Chilson has turned into that author that I get so excited for the next release. Let me just say Widow did not disappoint. We got glimpses of Clover and Malcolm in Good Girl, never the full story only what Willow, Ren or Auggie knew. Seeing life from their POV changes everything I thought I knew. AND I LOVE IT! Widow is not a stand alone and Good Girl is a must read before reading Wid

Where do I start?!
This book was EVERYTHING I was hoping for, plus some. We were introduced to all the characters in Good Girl, but Widow takes us to the next level.
The story runs concurrently with GG, so we get to see different POV's for the same time period. This book alternate between Clover and Malcolm.
I thought I knew what was going on from Good Girl, but I knew absolutely nothing - and THIS is the reason I LOVE Erica Chilson's w

LOVED IT!!! Widow was so worth the wait. I would have preferred not to have had to wait so long, but it was worth it. I absolutely loved watching the interplay between Malcolm and Clover as he attempted to court her using romance, gifts, affection, seduction, and guerrilla tactics - seriously Malcolm, what were you thinking with those texts and emails? I enjoy reading books in which the main characters are adults who have li

I reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads.

This is the story of our Widow, Clover Webster and our Widower, Malcolm Mason and the blending of their lives and families.

The way Malcolm connects with Clover and tries to woo her is unconventional to say the least. From one point of view it is fun, clever and sexy, from another it is mean and bullying. I confess, early on I wanted to strangle Malcolm just a little. But it is hard to stay mad at a man who doesn't let his ego get in the w

5- Baked Goods- STARS!

ENTERTAINING! EXCEPTIONALLY WRITTEN!

Second installment of the Blended Series. I recommend reading Good Girl first! We get Clover & Malcolm's story, Widow and WIDOWER. This series is completely different from anything Erica Chilson has written thus far, enthralling and completely original, like always! Welcome to a new town of deviants!!!

Malcolm and Clover's journey was emotional and heartfelt. I love LOVE MALCOLM! There isn't a thing I could s

5+++ glorious stars

This book had me all over the place. I was happy, sad, mad, grateful, and so many other emotions that I can't even list.

The build up in this book was phenomenal.

I was so connected with the characters that I felt like I was there physically.

When Clover hurt I hurt.
When Clover was happy I was happy.

Her story and the things this mother has faced is so realistic and not something that is so far fetched tha

Erica Chilson did it again! this is the second installment of the Blended Series. WIDOW gives you the story of Clover and Malcolm and their journey on becoming a blended family. I'm pretty sure Erica hit every emotion while writing this. Clover, having lost her husband to cancer is raising teenage twins. she is tired and feels unappreciated she made mistakes in her past and is trying her best to cope with them. Malcolm lost

Where to begin... This story totally changed my perspective about Clover, Malcolm, and the entire crew. The backstory about Clover and Sam, Camille and Malcolm, furthered the story more than I would have thought.

Second chances come when you least expect it, and Clover Webster, had no idea of what she was in for. Malcolm Mason has been watching Clover for years and now has her where he wants her.

Trials, tribulations, angst, l

This review is for the updated edition of this novel.

Following up from Good girl, this book tells the story of the Widow and The Widower. Clover and Malcolm, two characters whose lives already intertwine as their children enter into somewhat complicated relationship. The time arc of this novel runs alongside Good Girl ( recommend reading that first to understand the complicated relationships) up to a point until truths are revealed.

This books delves further into the background and gives a second

This is the story of clover a widow who feels under appreciated and under loved and Malcolm who has had to raise what people call a man hore , a pot head and youngsters all by himself all the while having an attraction to clover but not doing anything about it until the kids pick his ear....of course there is twist and turns and the typical writing style we have come to love from ms chilson so if you read her books you can read between the lines so im not posting spoilers

ARC REVIEW From ABIBLIOPHOBIA ANONYMOUS BOOK REVIEWS BLOG

They are the same, both widowed, both with children who are missing the main component in a family... A mom and dad. They each have what the other needs, but can they work as a couple, not just a faucet in a family.

Clover Webster is everything to everyone around her. She's the glue that keeps her family together. God forbid she didn't do what she does and everything would fall apart. We met her in Willow's book Good Girl, but we didn't kno

As a fan of Erica Chilson I can happily say she has impressed me with Widow! I loved this book and in classic Erica Chilson fashion, she has made me fall in love with these characters. Malcolm and Clover have not had easily lives. They both have the weight of their worlds on their shoulders and are struggling to handle everything on their own. This was a deeper, more emotional tale than we know Erica to write, but I was not at all let down. She had the brutal reality, the touchy subjects, and t ...more

Widow is the sequel to Good Girl, so you must read that book prior or you will be totally lost to the characters and the complex relationships. While Malcolm and Clover were introduced in GG, in this installment, we truly learn about their personalities and what makes them tick. These two are such complex characters and I love being in the mind of each; the dual POVs is perfect. Malcolm was an enigma in GG, but so much of his inner thoughts and actions are explained fully in this book. I fell in ...more

Another Readgasm. This book picks up where the first left off. Officer Mason and Clover Prynne's romance. In the last book we learned Willow and her cohorts (Seth, Violet, and the Mason Family) trying to get over on

Clover of hooking her up with Officer Mason.
Let's just say the kids are not getting over on Momma Bear. Officer Mason and Clover are beautifully getting over on the kids. I might say they did a splendid job in the first stage of blending the families together. At the same time growi

WoW, she's done it again weaved a tale with depth, intrigue, twists, turns and then add the sex, it's everything I hoped it would be and more.
Erica's character me come from her brilliant mind but I always feel like a voyeur into her secret life. She writes as though she is sitting in the middle of this outrageous soap opera, I love being drawn into her written world.

If you are not ready to be emotional torn down and build up to be left asking right from left then put then book down. If you have not read Good Girl then PUT THIS BOOK DOWN and go read Good Girl. Widow delivers a guy retching honest story that I am sure plays out in more homes across American then we would believe. "I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

Once again Ms Chilson delivers a book which is so intricately plotted and beautifully written, that the reader can only devour it in awe. Widow overlaps part of Good Girl, yet is from such a different angle, that the scenes suddenly come up and light bright reminders in the brain of how it played out in GG. I absolutely loved it, and am buzzing with thoughts of little snippets of extra information that are now in our posse

Extremely well written. A raw emotional roller coaster ride. Erica Chilson writes in a way that every emotion is felt deep.  I laughed. I cried. There were times I laughed while I cried.  My favorite in the Blended Series-so far.   Erica writes Widow is two points of view-the Widow and the Widower, which brings so much depth into the story.  I loved reading Widow and can't wait to delve deeper into the "Blended" lives of the Prynne, Webster and Mason families. Of course, Widow ends in a

I love, love, love this story with all these characters. Malcolm and Clover are the best and I'm happy for them and both getting the happiness they deserve. I couldn't even think how it would b to be Malcom when he was younger. He turned into a caring, protective, loving, and passionate man. Clover and what she went through with Sam....insane...I don't think I would be as strong as her the way her husband treated her and how me had others treat her. It took me a day or so to write this review. As I posted on me FB page, mind blown.... too much awesomeness! Widow was utterly amazing! Erica is a phenomenal writer. Her characters are so complex and their development throughout not only the book, but the series is outstanding. There is never fluff or filler in her books.

Ok so this book kicked a$$. I love all of Erica's books. I have read them all. Her characters have so much depth love them or hate them. Just like her other series as each book comes out you learn another part of who they are and why they do what they do. To me I saw another side of Willow in this book and I wanted to smack her up side the head and scream grow the hell up. What I love is that Clover's story is happening at the same time with the Willows story. I love the cliff hanger and Clover ...more

A fantastic second installment to the blended family. This is the story of Malcolm the hot cop alpha male, a father of 4, the widower and Clover the mother to everyone including her own 3 children. Both have lost there partners, both fighting there past to have a future that will entwine there families. Heartbreaking, emotional and will have you laughing at times. Beautifully written, my top read of 2014.

How can two mature parents fulfill their needs while taking care of their kids? Two single parents take an emotional journey to try to get beyond their pasts to find a better future for their families. I loved this book and the characters. I feel like I could walk right up to these people because I know them so well. I laughed & cried with them.
Book 2 in the series so we get to see events from a different point of view. Highly recommend!

Wow I'm just loving this series. Roller coaster of emotions on this one. How what you thought was the reality of your past gets shattered and puts everything in a whole knew light. Some of it is heart breaking. But what a ride. Everything seems to be fitting together perfectly then you realize that what you've tried to prevent for others may just happen anyway or maybe not. That is what we'll find out in book 3.

Hmmm....well I'm very mad the books didn't flow together like another review suggested. Things that happened in Willows book changed in Clovers book. I'm still mad at the ending I hate cliffhangers for authors who don't have a next book date ready!!! Ugh guess I will try and be patient! :(

Erica Chilson does not write in the 3rd person, wanting her readers to be her characters. Therefore, writing a bio about herself, is uncomfortable in the extreme.
