When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey—who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack—can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks.

Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan—including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

BEWARE!! THIS BOOK IS ORGASMIC!! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND/VIBRATOR NEXT TO YOU AND READY TO BE RAVISHED!!

My rating:

Well, I heard this was a hot book, saw some pretty great quotes too, but actually had no idea until I read it myself. And WOW. This was full of humor, sarcasm, swearing, dirty talk (Trey photo 703126.gif ) hot and sometimes kinky sex, and with the notorious orgy scene!

End result:

The story

Taryn awakens in a strange bed, with no memory how she got there. She soon finds out that the alluring male scent from the bed belongs to Trey Coleman photo 378786.gif , an alpha of a wolf pack, feared by almost everyone. He proposes a deal; they should mate, at least make it look like they mated, and it would solve their problems photo 356261.gif . Taryn's father is forcing her to mate with a sadistic bastard, and she has virtually no way of escaping him. Unless she accepts Trey. He, on the other hand, has a war coming. Banished from his pack after he rightfully took over the leadership, the new alpha, his uncle, wants to take over Trey's pack and territory, and he can't allow that. So, the best way for them is to "mate" and make it seem believable. Of course, soon they'll realise they don't need to act at all photo 508428.gif

"The guy could be so tactless and impatient, so remote and unapproachable. He was unbalanced. He had shitty communication skills. He thought apologies went in the form of oral sex, and he could brood with the best of them."

Trey

Dirty talk was invented for Trey Coleman. No, Trey Coleman invented dirty talk! The man is a master at it photo 279453.gif . I'm not really such a fan of it, but here... Oh my. photo fansmiley.gif

Every line he said in the book;

The guy is a total alpha, possessive, aggressive, stubborn, sexy and hot as hell, and has a filthy mouth like no other! YUM!
And yes, there were times when I wanted to kick his ass, especially when he was avoiding Taryn photo 3061540122.gif , and that scene when he said they were just about the deal and nothing else photo 677481.gif photo 998987.gif
That aside, every time he was all posessive about Taryn, and being a scary-ass dude, I melted photo 378786.gif

“You just don’t get it, do you? You have no idea how important you are to me. I need you to be okay, Taryn. I can’t be without you, you have to be here and okay or I won’t be able to fucking function.”

Taryn

She is just awesome! Loved her and her sarcastic comments! photo 279453.gif Being latent (not able to shift), she had to raise her defenses against everyone, and that in the form of a sharp tongue :D She's just brilliant! Doesn't take sh*t from anyone, mentally or physically. The best parts of the book were with her and Greta, constantly insulting each other photo 355146.gif
She's very attracted to Trey, but doesn't want it to go further than that, if they imprint or mate, it would be difficult to leave him, and their deal was 3 months of staying together. But, poor dear, she had no chance at all. It's Trey we're talking about photo 703126.gif

The orgy scene?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Doesn't make sense and I'm glad it's out of the book. I'm just gonna pretend it never happened. photo 798186.gif

I recommend this book if you're in the mood for some hot and sexy reading photo fansmiley.gif

And if you're not, I STILL recommend it! Just a great read!

“And she’s my mate. She’s mine. No one keeps her from me. No one insults her. And no one and I mean no one talks to her the way you just did, understand me?”

Wow Feral Sins is a Fantastic Shifter book!!!! I love Suzanne Wright. She has a great talent of writing sexy, manly heroes and Kick ass, sassy heroine. This book had me from the start and I didn't want to put it down. Dayum this book is smokin' hot. OMG I think I melted!

“I can sense how hard your wolf’s riding you.” “Jealous that she is and you’re not?”

What this book is about

Taryn Warner is a latent wolf shifter, meaning she can't shift into her wolf form. Taryn is about to be forced by her ass of a father, to mate a evil Alpha from another pack, whom she wants nothing to do with. She has been trying to find a way out, and that way out comes in the form of another Alpha named Trey Coleman. Trey needs political allies, and Taryn's father has a ton. So he offers to pretend to be true mates and get her out of her mating with the other alpha in hopes that the mating will gain her dad as a ally. Trey has a reputation of being psycho. Not to mention her wolf is crazy about him and his scent. Can she trust Trey enough to mate him and will they both be able to fight their attraction to each other?

“Move you son of a -” Then abruptly he plunged a long finger inside her, addressing that aching emptiness, and she practically liquefied against the wall, moaning. “That’s it, baby, be still for me.” He kept his thrusts shallow and leisurely, licking his claiming mark and liking her answering tremor. “Feel good?” “It’s alright, I guess.”

Trey:

 photo trey22_zpszwxuuivb.jpg

“This is me saying I realize I’ve been a prick and it’s going to stop.”

Trey is a sexy as hell, dirty talking, strong fighting alpha wolf with just a touch of crazy feral in him! He is very protective and possessive. He has had a hard life abused by his father. He ends up fighting his father when pushed to far at the age of 14 and wins. Instead of becoming the Alpha as it should have been, he was banished. Some of the pack left with him. Forming a pack with him as Alpha. Trey is very serious, he has a ton of responsibilities on his shoulders. He doesn't know what love is and he doesn't do fun! I love how Taryn brought life to him. She showed him how to play and brings laughter into his life. She softens his rough edges and makes him think of other's feelings. I love that Trey shows Taryn that she is worth respect and love and not less because she is latent.

“I don’t want anyone else, baby. I just want to hear my Taryn telling me she wants me. Shall I tell you how much I want to fuck this hot little body? How I’ve wanted to fuck you since the second I saw you? That’s right, baby, I wanted you before we mated. What I want to do right now is make you come so hard you scream.”

“I’d never purposely hurt you. Never. I’m a man which means I’ll fuck up. Regularly. I’m not good with words, I spout crap when I’m angry, and I’m about as romantic as a pebble. But…See, I’m not good with words. All I can say is you’re important to me in a way I can’t explain or understand. More important to me than anything else.”

“You’re all there is for me, Taryn. I’m broken, baby. You know that. Before you…it was like those bits of me were just scattered all over the place. I’ve never felt whole. Not until you. You hold those pieces together. It’s not an exaggeration when I say you hold my sanity in your hands. Without you, I’d fall apart.”

Taryn:

 photo Trey_zpsdwwfrrxl.jpg

“Love is giving someone the power to completely destroy you, and hoping that they won’t.”

Taryn is strong, funny, beautiful, and a fighter who always has a sassy comeback. She is just so funny and full of life. She is a foul mouth smart ass that doesn't take shit from no one and doesn't care what people think of her. She is a latent wolf so she is always being picked on and treated badly. She had to learn to fight and save herself. I loved her, she has a lot of spirit and spunk . Man this book had me laughing hard at her smart mouthing ways! She is understanding of Trey's background and accepts him just like he is.

“You’re staying.” She smiled. “I believe you were warned before you even mated me not to bark at me unless you’re happy to be ignored.” “Taryn,” he drawled in an impatient tone, “I am your mate -” “And I’m stubborn. If you want absolute obedience, get a Labrador. I’m not quite the delicate flower people tend to take me for. Now let’s go.”

“I like knowing you’re safe.” “And yet you haven’t thrown out your inherently evil grandmother.” Chuckling, he shaped her waist with his hands. “I know she’s being a little difficult right now, but she’s one of those people who grow on you.” “No, she’s one of those people who are like Slinkies.” “Slinkies?” “Yeah. Basically useless, but they make you smile when you push them down the stairs.”

“Try it if you feel you must. But just remember this: I know where you sleep, I know where the cheese grater is, and I know it’ll cause you a hell of a lot of pain if it makes contact with your cock. Don’t think I won’t do it. I know I can heal you afterwards so my conscience won’t interfere.”

“I know. Be careful. You have to come back to me.” “There’ll be a lot of blood on my hands by the end of this battle. You know that, right?” She pressed her forehead to his. “Do you honestly think I’d judge you for protecting your family, your pack, your territory? Darryl obviously wants to die. Assist him.”

 photo trey and t_zpslpse0jbg.jpg

“As Taryn would say, if I wanted to hear from an ass, I’d fart.”

I really enjoyed how their love develops over time. How they bring out the best in each other. Trey and Taryn are like a kick ass power couple and have an explosive chemistry. Man can Suzanne Wright write some hot sex omg for real. Burnin up my kindle and had me jumpin my husband!! The only thing I didn't really get in this book was the one time he let his bros (pack mates) in the bedroom with them for a little ménage sex scene. (P.S. There is a edited version out there that doesn't have the tag team action in it.) I mean I have read a few ménage books, and they were good, but I am not a sharer. So I have a hard time getting into the idea that someone would be ok with letting someone else touch what is theirs. Especially Shifter books because they are so possessive, but that is just me. I will say this the group sex scene was hott, really hott I just couldn't connect to it. Other then that I thought it was a sexy strong love story with lots of lovable characters, a few villains we love to hate, and tons of drama! The HEA is swoon worthy! I totally recommend it to anyone who loves shifter romances!

Below I leave a few of my favorite "Taryn sassy remarks":

“Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head – if you’re going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one.”

“If your reputation’s anything to go by, that wasn’t your first broken nose.” At her unrepentant shrug, he asked, amused, “You don’t think that perhaps you have anger management issues?” “Punching people is managing my anger.”

Taryn couldn’t stop the snort from popping out. “And who in La La Land told you that would ever happen? Probably the same person who told you that you’re a good liar.” He spluttered. “Excuse me?” “Oh come on, you talk so much shit I can smell it on your breath.”

He frowned. “I turned out all right.” “Erections don’t equal personal growth, Trey.”

“Who does this pussy belong to?” “Shut the fuck up, Trey, and make me come.” He thrust his fingers deep and again she bucked and cried out. “Whose is it, Taryn?” “As I’m the one who cleans it, waxes it, keeps it tidy and has it medically checked, I’d say it’s mine. But you can borrow it if you like.”

“Oh. And what is it you think you’re going to do to me now?” Mousy smirked. “I’m thinking that I’d like to fuck that mouth of yours.” “Sorry. I was raised to never put small objects in my mouth or I might choke.”

After seeing the high rates and comments in Goodreads, I was so curious to see what was up with this book. So, after reading it... I had thrown my phone away, hugging myself, huddled at the empty corner of my room, promising myself that I would recover from this as I rocked back and forth.

I am so appalled, disgusted, and mad at this book. -> Let’s go for a ride, shall we?

[But before we do that, why the heck is the two main character’s names so close? Taryn – Trey?] Okay, never-mind. It's not like that's not impossible in real life, right?

Alrighty, the story started great, better than great actually. Taryn Warner WAS a great main character, with her quick wit and sarcastic comments that made me laugh out loud, and seeing her standing up for herself and fight was another thing I admired. Trey Coleman WAS a respectable Alpha, which made all the fangirls swoon, he was the kind of bad boy that girls wished secretly to have before going to sleep. We HAD funny, realistic minor characters around us, some a little more far-distant and dull than others, but we had a few good ones.

There was a love-and-hate relationship at first, but it was more like love and lustlustustlust... and oh yeah, he is such an ass. But, who cares? right? Cause, you know… he is hot and all, and Taryn is not dense or shallow or anything, it’s just that Trey doesn't know how to express himself. And it went like that on and on and on for a good chunk of the story.

Let’s talk about the plot a little, or maybe the lack of it. There was (had to be) a little plot (story structure) for the two couples to meet and when they did, BANG. There was no more plot, it was all about how Taryn felt or how Trey was acting, or why was he acting a certain way. It was all about them-them-them-them. There was no world outside, no one else existed, and we didn't even have a villain (Come on, all stories have one) until more than halfway through the story.

No proper story other than two people describing how hot each other is and how they want to bang each other. Let’s just say, after reading these two bang each other more than I could count, I got bored. As the bored reader who progressed even further into this story, Taryn’s so called ‘witty-sarcastic-comebacks” was getting unbelievably lame.

“No need to take it out on me that you’re so wrinkled you have to screw your hat on.”

“We’re all going to calm down and drive back to Bedrock and you’re not going to give me any shit about it or so help me God I’ll beat you so bad you’ll have to put toothpaste in your ass to brush your teeth!”

Ha-ha. Wait-What?

So I’m almost done ranting, bear with me.

So the story is about to get wrapped up and be done with when something absolutely crazy and sick happened, and it was at the very end of the book. Throughout the whole story we got to see Trey’s over-protectiveness-jealous personality, and there was no surprise there, he is a wolf and a pack leader. When one of the pack members starting ‘liking’ Taryn, we got to see Trey’s jealous strike, again and again.

“But Trey was honestly considering stabbing the wolf with his fork.” (I’m cutting them short and clean not to ruin anything I possibly don’t think is necessary.)

So, when a certain sex scene at the very end came up, not only was it unnecessary and absolutely useless, it was mortifying to read. I felt like clawing my eyes out and forgetting I read that part or maybe the whole story, but unfortunately, it wasn't that easy. Trust me, I tried.

How? How can you put that in the story? Or maybe I should say- Why? How in that logical mind of yours did that scene make any sense to anything we just read? It was like a fucking slap to the reader’s face. What happened to our not-so-submissive girl? Or our respectable, over-protectiveness, and jealous pack leader?

I read somewhere there is another version, the ending edited in a different way. Ugh, wish I read that one. I had no fucking clue! And it's too late... the horror.

This story had so much room for improvement, our main character was a damn healer, and we did not see much of her skills throughout the book and that was so freaking sad.

ps: A guy calling his mate ‘bitch’ in bed is such a great way to ruin the whole mood. I honestly thought our main character, Taryn, would have more respect for herself.

what in the absolute wattpad fuck

THIS BOOK WAS NEARLY 500 PAGES AND FOR WHAT!!!!

FOR WHATTTTT!!!

This wasn't just repetitive and obnoxious... I feel like someone dropped acid on my brain. My brain literally feels like mush. There wasn't a single good thing to be absorbed in this.

I knew this was erotica, and I knew this was a werewolf erotica written in the 2000's... I was expecting...everything. I guess. So I am not really surprised that:

The word ALPHA shows up 243 times.

The word mate shows up 500 times (literally beat SJM)

The word hussy shows up 28 times but it will feel like 500.

these counts are 100% accurate, you can look it up on kindle.

Have you ever seen those really cheesy porn videos? Where the pizza guy comes in to hangout instead of going back to work? Or when the plumber comes in to fix the sink and he ends up fixing her dry spell?

This was basically written to be a comedic shifter romance, so they crack a lot of jokes. A LOT of jokes. But they're 2000's jokes like: "If I wanted to hear from an ass, I'd fart" - this is actually in the book.

But we also get all the bad things from the 2000's, like Suzanne comparing two dumb wolves to: "mentally handicapped children" .

The sex scenes are atrocious. The dialogues have their groove and the first half does have it's merit on being silly and funny, but honestly, you're better off reading Zodiac Academy than this shit.

Yeah, I said that.

This is just...

And not the good kind. Not even the weird but fun monster kind. It's just uncomfortable. Because she is an alpha female, she doesn't like being dominated in bed, so every time they had sex (which was a lot of times) she would come up with a different stream of curses for him. One of those I will never forget, as she reached completion, she called him: a cock-smoking, shitfaced motherfucking piece of monkey shit.

I mean, I guess it's funny if you say it once, but if you say it ON ALL 220 sex scenes... it's not funny anymore. So the entire book went on like this:

I am an alpha and I will not be controlled, but then she allows him to fuck her, they fuck, she calls him names while she orgasms because it's basically happening "against her will", the word alpha appears 20 times, then the word mate appears another 20 times, then she makes very ableist, sexist and offensive joke and the cycle restarts.

You know what makes me even angrier? The fact that if 13 year old me read this book in 2010, it would probably have become my entire personality.

Thank FUCK we grow, and thank god time's change. We don't need to look back with nostalgia on every single thing we used to enjoy. It's okay to leave some things back in the 2000's, y'all should leave this book there too.

5 STARS!!!
Oh. My. God.
I don’t even know where to start with this one...
Saying that this book is ‘HOT’ is an understatement...
This book has a wicked awesome, funny, and sarcastic female; a super dominate, possessive, and sexy as hell alpha male; and some very steamy scenes! And if you are like me, you will LOVE every second of reading it!!!

Here is our leading lady- Taryn
 photo 6b69c70a-063c-4b0d-9423-4a808f33999d_zps52e0344d.jpg

Taryn Warner is in a pack where her father is the alpha. She is a healer, but she is also a latent wolf. Because of this, her dad wants to mate her to a pack alpha who she cannot stand. She really doesn’t have much of a choice. Its either mate with him, or be a lone wolf. She is trying to figure out another option... then Trey Coleman comes along...

 photo 50d88f09-b16b-4f69-ac4e-90f379667d8f_zps5b42573d.jpg

Trey Coleman is an alpha wolf. His pack is being threatened and he needs alliances. He makes a deal with Taryn. They will mate, she can get away from the ass that wants to mate her, and he can get her fathers alliance. Neither of them are looking for a mate, so it will be a temporary solution for the both of them. Its a win win, right? The problem is, when wolves mate- they don’t always know its fake. Trey and Taryn have a crazy attraction to one another. The more they are together, the more they bond with one another... or at least their wolves do. After spending a lot of time together, marking one another, their wolves start to crave each other. When Trey’s wolf goes feral, Taryn is the only one that can calm him. Taryn starts to become one of the pack. At least most of Trey’s pack accepts her. But there is someone causing trouble in the pack...

Okay. Now let me tell you why I loved the two main characters...

TARYN WARNER
Taryn may be the most hilarious, sarcastic, bad ass heroines I have ever seen! Reasons I love her:

*She doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks of her*

“Just give me a second. Attempting to give a fuck...Attempting harder to give a fuck...Sorry, there was an error; fuck not given.”

*She and I share this same disorder*
Of course it was worth noting that she suffered from NRS syndrome (Never Remembers Shit)

*She is snarky*
“Erections don’t equal personal growth, Trey”

*She is stubborn*

“Taryn,” he drawled in an impatient tone, “I am your mate –”
“And I’m stubborn, if you want absolute obedience, get a Labrador.”

*She tells it like it is*
“Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head – if you’re going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one.”

*She has a dirty mouth*
“Cock-sucking son of a goddamn dick-faced bitch!”

*She is not afraid of the big bad wolf*
“Try it if you feel you must. But just remember this: I know where you sleep, I know where the cheese grater is, and I know it’ll cause you a hell of a lot of pain if it makes contact with your cock. Don’t think I won’t do it. I know I can heal you afterwards so my conscience won’t interfere.”

Then we have the one and only TREY COLEMAN

Trey... Oh I how I LOVED his sexy alpha self!!! Trey was all kinds of sexy and protective and YUMMY! He will make your panties drop ladies... seriously!

“When I fuck you Taryn- and make no mistake about it, baby, I will fuck you- the only talking you’ll be doing is begging me to let you come. And don't doubt that I’ll make you come. Not just once. You’ll come over and over again, until I decide you’ve had enough.”

I know its kind of a wolf thing... but I loved all of the biting, scratching, marking... Mmmm
 photo FeralSins-biting_zpsf86c4606.gif

One thing about Trey I thought was a little funny: I would say, for someone who repeatedly says he will not share and Taryn is ‘mine’ he sure had no trouble sharing her on his birthday... even though it was pretty hot... just sayin!
 photo GIFFFS1_zps90632e32.gif

Oh Trey-
 photo GIF17_zpsf7170c6c.gif

Loved Trey and Taryn’s relationship. They were both funny, alpha, stubborn... but they were great together! I was really happy with how things turned out in the end...
“Love is giving someone the power to completely destroy you, and hoping that they won’t”

 photo FeralSins-thewolves_zps4cef8ce9.jpg

By far the steamiest PNR I have ever read. Loved the characters, the story, the sex... just all around FANTASTIC read! If you are looking for something hot, steamy, funny, and paranormal make this your next read! I would highly recommend it!!!

Update: February 2, 2014

4 1/2 Stars for edited version

I increased my rating by a half star for the edited version of this story. It's amazing what proper editing can do for a book, and this one was already good. I'm also glad the out-of-place "orgy" scene was removed and replaced with a sex scene that felt more authentic to this couple's relationship. I forgot how much I loved this book. The editing made it even better!

Solid 4 stars for the unedited version

I was originally planning to wait until the edited version of this book was released in February to start this story, as the book will under go professional editing with the somewhat infamous orgy scene being removed.

Well, what can I say for myself other than my curiosity got the better of me (go figure!). Even though I have limited time, I had to find out what all the talk was about regarding the somewhat infamous and out-of-place scene I've recently heard so much about.

I'll start out by saying I really enjoyed this book a lot. Although there were time I cringed at the explicitness of the content, I found Feral Sins to be a captivating, intriguing, and full-of-eroticism read. It sported wonderfully developed, fun, and witty characters and a paranormal world that was fascinating, easy to understand, and held my attention from start to finish.

That said, I finally understand what all the incredulity was about and why many were truly baffled by this particular over-the-top and out-of-place sex scene. It's inclusion made absolutely and positively no sense in the overall plot. In fact, it detracted from it and made a mockery of the characters previous behaviors and feelings. Not to mention it was anything but erotic!

Other than that, I very much enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the edited version.

The more books I read by Suzanne Wright, the bigger fan I become of her work. Her writing style is so unique, her witty dialogue is fantastic and the characters she creates come to life right off the pages.
One of my GR friends suggested I read The Phoenix Pack – and so happy I followed her suggestion!!!

Feral Sins is the 1st book in The Phoenix Pack and what a fantastic read it was!!!
It had a great storyline with engaging characters, scorching and sizzling scenes and some of the most unforgettable and hilarious dialogue.

Trey Coleman, alpha wolf shifter & Taryn Warner, a dominant and latent wolf shifter (she can’t shift but her wolf is caged inside her) are the main characters in this book.

Taryn is desperate to get out of a mating that her father has arranged with someone that she’s determined not honor.

Trey needs to build alliances with the other packs and proposes that he and Taryn pretend to be mated so both will achieve what they want. And once the alliance with her father is finalized, they can both go their own ways. But what starts off purely as a contract, it soon becomes more complicated by the growing feelings they have for each other.

Trey is the kind of alpha you do not mess around with. Feared by other shifters for his strength and his extreme dominance, he rules his pack, which he has been the alpha of since the age of 14, when he was outcast by the pack after killing his father, with an iron fist.
 photo alpha_zpsijvl5tol.gif
No one ever crosses him or is ever challenged except by one person….Taryn. She’s not the kind of person to bow down to anyone and she means anyone….never mind if it’s the pack’s alpha…….
 photo tyler-hoechlin-batman-man-of-steel-casting-rumors_zpsaup7ohu8.jpg
I absolutely adored Taryn. She’s fiery, takes sh@@$$#** from no-one and if provoked….
“She was a sarcastic bitch and when she was pissed off the sarcasm took on a life of its own.”

 photo 03867a01269bded10b7a1c08b33240b6_zps98ae0aba.jpg
I loved watching Trey and Taryn challenge each other – how both fought for dominance…..
“When I fuck you Taryn-and make no mistake about it, baby, I will fuck you-the only talking you’ll be doing is begging me to let you come. And don’t doubt that I’ll make you come. Not just the once. You’ll come over and over again, until I decide you’ve had enough. Until I decide that I’ve had enough.”
Yeah, right Trey….Taryn is just not giving in that easily…
 photo e65cf9a3eebddce5129eb3885c64ca93_zpsda7zpggf.jpg
And their connection was incredible and very touching. Discovering that the best thing in their lives was each other. Never mind that they had to go through a lot of obstacles and uncertainties and fears before realizing how much they felt for one another.

These two ooze sexual tension on a high scale….their sex scenes are hot and sizzling…
 photo giphy_zpsr71vc4jb.gif
Trey and Taryn really shone for me. I loved how their relationship developed – getting to knowing and understanding each other and accepting each other’s good and bad points…..it was a total and fabulous thing….
 photo superthumb_zpsh92nagik.jpg
One of the most enjoyable parts was the interaction between Taryn and Greta, Trey’s grandmother. It made for the most hilarious scenes ever……and one of those was Greta giving Taryn a hard time about the fact that Trey had chosen her instead of one of the pack members…I laughed my head off…….
 photo 46f524e2-e712-42c3-81d7-363f13ca4595_zps9udrttrd.jpg
Okay, so there’s steamy moments between Trey and Taryn….but when you had more than the two in one scene…yes, I ‘m talking about the ménage…no not a trois …..more like neuve…
 photo vCWo1dI_zpszwlyycuq.gif….
.when the male Pack members join in the fun…….nothing like I was expecting…believe me…it’s scorching hot and no not seedy at all…..hell, those wolves sure know how to please a woman…can I please have Tao for myself!!!!!!

I am really excited to start book #2….can’t wait for what happens next!!!

Recommend this book……….A DEFINITE YES!!!!

Theres shapeshifters and then theres SHAPESHIFTERSSSS

descriptiondescription

This was an AWESOME wolf romance that I thoroughly enjoyed wayyy 2 much. And sure the cover looks like an 8th grader's attempt at a collage with all the elements copied and pasted next to each other but it gets the message of the book across so I'll allow it

Taryn is a wolf but struggles to actually transform. But that doesn't stop her from being a total kickass sassy heroine who honestly has some of the greatest witty liners I have ever read
“Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head – if you’re going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one.”

description description

I was gawking while reading this book and actually started cry- laughing so hard that my roommates were CONCERNED for my mental being

Our love interest, Trey is a sexy, dirty talking, fighting alpha who honestly might be little crazy ... but we aint even mad about that

This book was pipping hot, I'm talking steam pouring outta each page
“Move you son of a -”
Then abruptly he plunged a long finger inside her, addressing that aching emptiness, and she practically liquefied against the wall, moaning.
“That’s it, baby, be still for me.” He kept his thrusts shallow and leisurely, licking his claiming mark and liking her answering tremor. “Feel good?”
“It’s alright, I guess.”

description

The characters were dynamic, both great in their own unique personalities and their chemistry when they are together. Honestly they the kinda characters I would read their POV in a longer more adventure type book. I guess I just have the settle for the hot erotica, bummer man

If you like werewolves, read this book
if you like sass, read this book
if you like tough alphas that are sweet to their mates, read this book
JUST READ THE GODDAMN BOOK

description

A lotta the time, you go searching for wolf books and its very much a hit or miss.

I hate it when the girl is a baby wimp and the guy is a total jerk whose only redeeming qualities is his large penis *gag* (yes that was a sex joke on multiple layers)

But this book really balanced the plot, and tensi0n between our characters without making either one cringey.... Also Trey had some cute vulnerable moments that had me wooing and sighing like I was in a goddamn Jane Austin novel

“I’d never purposely hurt you. Never. I’m a man, which means I’ll fuck up. Regularly. I’m not good with words, I spout crap when I’m angry, and I’m about as romantic as a pebble. But…See, I’m not good with words. All I can say is you’re important to me ”

description

Critiques?

I guess it kinda short and I honestly could've kept reading for a longer more plot driven novel

it was just hot as fuck with wolves, of course I loved it don'tttt judge meeee

THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVOURITE SHIFTER BOOK!
I recently reread this book, and it reaffirmed my love for anything written by Suzanne Wright. She just has a way for world-building and interesting characters. The Dark in You and Deep in Your Veins are my ultimate favourite fantasy series that I always turn back to reread.

Trey and Taryn are both Alpha wolf's that have strong personalities. Their chemistry in the books is off the charts. The side characters have to have their own praise. They just tie in the comedy aspect of the book. The whole pack as a whole were soo sweet and familial with each other. I've rarely come across a pack that I have read about that share the same dynamic as the Phoenix pack.

The comedy in this book was hilarious. From Dominic's jokes to Taryn's sarcasm to even Greta's bickering, it was just perfect; Especially when Taryn says...
"Look, psycho boy, I don't know what your problem is - though I'd imagine it's difficult to spell even for your psychiatrist..."

I have to say my favourite chapter was Trey's birthday. The entire section was written spectacularly and I could not stop laughing.

These books have made me a forever fan of anything published by Suzanne Wright. I endeavour to read more of her upcoming books.

Love is giving someone the

Actually, no. Forget the sweet book quote. That is not how my review should have started. Let's try again...

3.5 stars. Poor Shakespeare is rolling over in his grave right about now. Bear with me because I am asking this for a reason. Depending on when you purchased Feral Sins, you will either receive a copy of the orgy version, or the non-orgy version. If you purchase the book now, that scene will have been edited out.

I have the 'in all its graphic glory' version. Yes, I was happy to have this copy because if I didn't have this copy, I would have been tormented to know what I'd missed out on and would have had to have gone to the author's website and read that scene anyway. My thoughts on the orgy scene are mixed, however. It was a hot scene, but I had a hard time matching it up in my mind with this story. I don't completely buy that it worked here, given the way Trey had been acting before. Someone else did a nice job of explaining why Trey was willing to share in that context and some excellent points were made but I personally didn't buy it.

Erotic books (or books with multiple sex scenes) are such a mixed bag for people. Often, it all boils down to what your kinks are. If a subject is touched upon in an erotic book which doesn't mesh well with what turns your crank, then there's a good chance you won't like it. And of course this would be completely understandable if you are one of those people who doesn't like the sexual gimmes that were being featured in this book.
But I'll give you one guess as to whose crank WAS getting turned.

MEMEMEMEME...MEMEMEMEMEMEME...MEMEME...

Do I sound enthusiastic enough? Here's why :

~ Dominating, rough sex (in terms of biting, marking, etc. No BDSM)
~ Dirty talk (i.e. who owns this? who's going to take this?)
~ Exhibitionism! (hey, your fantasy may not be my fantasy)
~ Back-and-forth power struggles (i.e. woman reclaims what was taken and would do some marking of her own)
He didn't want to change her, wasn't disregarding her own strength the way others had before him.

All of my little sweet spots were hit. For those of you who've known me for a while, I have the book Willing Victim as one of my favorites for non-BDSM-type rough sex. I love power struggles in the bedroom. I love when a man says you're going to take it and the woman says hell no and fights him back and they both get all hot and bothered in the process until one person wins out. YUM. YUM. YUM.
He knew she'd fight him like a wildcat.

So again, if this type of sex doesn't get you going, you won't like this book. It's about mating and claiming and all of the primal urges that wolves (we're dealing with shifters here) feel for their mates. I love pack dynamics and alpha wolf with their mate dynamics. Within the confines of the story, it all works. Because it's a paranormal story with so much being explained as instinctual, it all works.
"Now, who do you fucking belong to?"
After a slight hesitation, she conceded with a snarl. "You."
"That's right, baby, and just in case you're ever tempted to forget..." He yanked her head back and bit down hard into the soft flesh of her neck where it would be visible for all to see.

Should I even talk about the plot? Was there even a plot? Yes, there actually was something resembling a plot. You might want to be forewarned that the plot and sex are about equal to each other in this book, so we're definitely working with an erotic book featuring a story, and not the other way around. Basically, we learn about some of the pack members and some of the conflicts between the Phoenix Pack and other packs. The shifters themselves were drawn in an interesting way, with the "inner wolf" having a huge and separate influence on the person as a whole.

Since I had the older copy, I did notice a few typos, but they were few and far between. I'm assuming there will be even less of this in the newer edition. I do have to go on record stating that I hated the use of terms such as baby and hot little body. I also could have done without Trey talking about wanting to pump his cum inside of Taryn. Bleh. Surprisingly, I was not bothered by Trey calling Taryn his little bitch or telling her that she was going to take it like a good girl. After all, they are wolves...

I do think the book was a touch too long. It wasn't a huge deal because I am a pro skimmer when I need to be, but with some editing and shortening, this could have been a solid 4 star book.

Other than the sex, my favorite part of Feral Sins was pretty much every scene between Greta (the alpha's grandmother) and Taryn. Watching these two women rip on each other was too darn funny.
"Wouldn't you like to slip into something more comfortable, though? Perhaps a coma?"

"Oh sorry, I was just busy picturing a gag in your mouth."

In the end, I found that I liked this book FAR better than I was expecting to. I got lucky and had all of my fun fetish buttons pushed. You may not feel the same way if you prefer something different with your erotic reads. So tread carefully and know what you want before you pick this book up. If you choose to go there, I hope you have as much fun as I did!

✮ 4 SCORCHING HOT AND WOLFISH STARS. ✮

Damn, this book was on fire...and I LOVED IT!!!

✦ Taryn Warner ✦--

✧ Trey Coleman ✧--

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I am so glad I FINALLY came around to reading Feral Sins. After reading so many raving reviews about this book, it seemed like an absolute MUST READ and to me it turned out to be one too. I loved Suzanne Wright's easy flowing writing style that brought me straight to La La Land where I was happy to stay during the amount of time it took me to read this gem.

THE STORY

At the beginning of the story we meet our heroine, Taryn, who is the daughter of a wolf pack leader, Lance. Taryn is a wolf shifter and a healer but because of her latency, she's never had a good relationship with her father, who considers her as weak. And now, Lance has decided it's time for Taryn to mate into another clan which is why he has set her up to be claimed by the alpha leader of the pack, a guy Taryn absolutely despises.

So, when Trey Coleman, the Alpha of the Phoenix Pack, offers her a way out of the arranged mating, it's either that or risking the chance of becoming a lone wolf. Trey himself is pretty much at war with his own uncle and in order too gain more allies, he proposes Taryn to become his "fake" true mate. That way, she gets out of the arranged claiming and he will get more forces if it ever were to come to an actual battle against his uncle.

They both agree to the temporary mating bond, but after a while it becomes clear that their temporary arrangement might have some much more permanent consequences...

✦ TARYN

Taryn is one hell of a kick-ass heroine!!! She has to be one of the most (if not the most) sarcastic characters I've ever come across... I loved her snarky attitude and the fact that she always stood up for herself and never cared what anyone else thought of her.

"Taryn, are you even listening to me?"
"I pretended to so let that be enough."

The banter between her and the other pack members (especially between her and Trey's grandmother Greta) was just hilarious! Still, it was kind of weird when she randomly started to curse like this at times:

"A motherfucking ass-licking sod of a cock-sucking goddamn bitch."

But I guess that's just part of her personality and it didn't really bother me that much.

✧ TREY

"He was kind of like the Black Mamba snake; fiercely aggressive, had a bad reputation, and was respected, admired and feared all at the same time."

Trey is the leader of the Phoenix Pack; he's powerful, strong, domineering and HOT as hell! All in all, he's the PERFECT Alpha Male. 'Nuff said.

"When I fuck you Taryn - and make no mistake about it, baby, I will fuck you - the only talking you'll be doing is begging me to let you come. And don't doubt that I'll make you come. Not just once. You'll come over and over again, until I decide you've had enough. Until I decide that I've had enough."

✦ TARYN + TREY ✧

Together they are like FIRE & ICE. There's a lot of PUSH AND PULL that goes on between these two! Trey is an Alpha Male, Taryn is an Alpha Female, despite her being latent, and neither of them is willing to let the other "dominate" their relationship. But in the end, it was mostly Trey who dominanted the relationship (or maybe that's just what Taryn wanted him to believe).

"Now, who do you fucking belong to?"
After a slight hesitation she conceded with a snarl. "You"
"That's right, baby, and just in case you're ever tempted to forget..." He yanked her head back and bit down hard into the soft flesh of her neck where it would be visible for everyone to see.

And there was a lot more biting and scratching etc. after that...

After a while, Trey and Taryn started to grow closer to each other and their mating bond became stronger and stronger. Everything was going pretty well actually and then, since I still had the old version of the book, there was suddenly the

I didn't really know what to think of it and my reaction constantly switched like this...

Anayway, the new version of the book doesn't include this scene anymore so future readers won't have to worry about it.

Overall, this book was VERY ENTERTAINING and A LOT OF FUN to read with the perfect amount of sexy scenes and a great dose of humor and a HEA!!! Suzanne Wright, from now on, you are my new favorite PNR author to watch out for!!!

Sixth re-read: 27.08.21
This re-read didn't get the attention and mood it deserved. I wasn't feeling well and that got out on this book. Which is why I won't change the rating or anything. It was just too heavy (too long, with too many inner dialogues) for my mood this time around. I love Trey, though I do want to smack him around half of the book; but then again, it is understandable why he act the way he acts; he doesn't know any other way. Good thing Taryn is there to show him. That said, I love the sex scene with the guys, which is odd as fuck that I do but it is so hot.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*I love Trey, I do*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Fifth re-read: 02.11.18
I made a review for the fifth re-read only for it to get deleted. Typical. Anyways, the book centers around the latent female wolf shifter and a healer (she can heal the actual wounds within minutes, guaranteeing a recovery) Taryn Warner (23? 24? 25?) and alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation Trey ‘psycho boy’ ‘Flinstone’ Coleman (how old?). The story starts with Taryn and Trey making a deal; pretend to be true mates. Trey needs alliances that Taryn's father can give him, and Taryn needs to get away for an arranged mating done by her father. However, neither expected to care for each other or how strongly their wolves react towards one another.
“Just give me a second. Attempting to give a fuck...Attempting harder to give a fuck...Sorry, there was an error; fuck not given.”

Overall, I adore this book. I still wish we had gotten one more book that centers around Trey and Taryn. Though my rating is technically less, I refuse to change it simply because I refuse to believe it's still not a good as it used to be. So the rating stays the same.... It's not the books fault that I'm mostly numb for the past year or so. Trey is still one of my favorite characters and that will never change. Taryn is still funny as hell and together they are awesome. I kinda want to demand a second book for these two, though I know that it'll never happen. Also, I'm not interested in reading the rest of the series after the COMPLETE bust book number two was. I hated it.
“Wouldn’t you like to slip into something more comfortable though? Perhaps a coma?”

Other characters:
Roscoe Weston, an sleazy Alpha wolf who wants to mate Taryn to make her submit to him. This he does by making a deal with her father; an alliance.
Dante ‘Mountain Man’, Trey's Beta.
Tao, Trey's Head Enforcer, becomes Taryn’s personal bodyguard.
Dominic ‘Dom’ ‘Blondie?’, one of Trey's enforcers.
Ryan ‘Grumpy’, one of Trey's enforcers.
Marcus ‘Smiley’, one of Trey's enforcers.
Patrick ‘Trick’ ‘Burly’, one of Trey's enforcers. Trick and Marcus are best friend and scratches each others inch now and then.
Greta Tyler, Trey's grandmother.
Grace, a packmate of Phoenix Pack. Her mate, Rhett
Brock, a cousin of Trey’s dad and packmate of Phoenix Pack. Kirk, Brock’s son, so he’s sort of Trey’s cousin.
Cam and his mate, Lydia, packmates of Phoenix Pack.
Selma and Hope, the Barbies, packmates of Phoenix Pack.
Joseph ‘Joey’ Winters,, Taryn's dead true mate.
Summer, Trey's dead true mate. Viv, Summer’s mom.
Shaya Critchley (23) and Caleb, Taryn's two best friends.
Lance Kai Warner (43), Alpha and Taryn's father. Only cares about his image. His bodyguard, Zack.
Oscar and Perry, Lance's enforcers.
Brodie, a female wolf who hates Taryn. Part of Lance's pack.
Darryl Coleman, Alpha of the Bjorn Pack, Trey's uncle who wants to unite both pack with him as Alpha. He has a perverse wish to see Trey bow down to him.
Don, Taryn's uncle.
Nick Axton, the Alpha of the Ryland Pack, Don's pack. His Beta, Jon.
Derren, Nick's bodyguard.
“Taryn, are you even listening to me?
“I pretended to, so let that be enough”

Fourth re-read: 13.08.16
Yep, I was right: I read it yet again. God, I cannot get enough of this book! I really, really hope-need-pray-beg that Suzanne Wright writes another book with Trey and Taryn as main characters. I really do.

Third re-read: 09.10.15
Still fucking perfect! 100% sure that I'll re-read it yet again soon.

Second re-read: 11.03.15
Can't go long without my 'Trey' fix. He's like my addiction.

Re-read: 28.03.14
Even better than the first time. What can I say: Trey does that to you. You cannot help but to love him. Need him. Obsessed about him... Already I need him again.

First read review:

“This is where I’ll be very, very soon, Taryn,” he promised – more like threatened. “Inside you, filling you with my cum, and making you scream.”
“I’ve met guys like you before. They talk the talk but, well…talking doesn’t exactly get people to orgasm, does it?”

“I’m going to fuck you hard and deep now, Taryn. Fuck you until you’re dripping with my cum. And you’re going to take it like a good girl.”
“You cock-smoking shitfaced motherfucking piece of monkey shit,” she growled.

For those who hasn't read this amazing book, are seriously missing out on the most incredible journey. The characters are simply perfect and the story is strong and never boring. You get completely dragged into the book, like the rest of the world disappears and it's only you and Suzanne Wright's world there. The story shows how, even though people keep pushing you down, keep trying to break you, you still have to fight. Fight for the chance of happiness, that there is something good out there for you. I, for one, felt extremely sorrow for Taryn, and how her own father/his pack treated her. That they made her put up so strong walls around her, not letting anyone in, it was sad to read.
“She's one of those people who are like Slinkies.”
“Slinkies?”
“Yeah. Basically useless, but they make you smile when you push them down the stairs.”

Though, because of all that, I felt myself look up at Taryn like a role model. Her snarky, snappy comments and her spirit was just amazing and inspiring. I love how she slowly was able to get dominate alpha Trey to open up. To have some fun. Fun he never get to have. I remember first time reading this book, that Trey's story got me eyes wet. And it still does. I love how two broken souls come together and become one hell of a team. I recommend this book for pretty much everyone, and if you don't like it then you live in 'La La Land' as Taryn would say :)

“You’re all there is for me, Taryn. I’m broken baby. You know that. Before you… it was like those bits of me were just scattered all over the place. I’ve never felt whole. Not until you. You hold those pieces together. It’s not an exaggeration when I say you hold my sanity in your hands. Without you, I’d fall apart.”

“Love is giving someone the power to completely destroy you, and hoping that they won’t”

“When I fuck you Taryn – and make no mistake about it, baby, I will fuck you – the only talking you’ll be doing is begging me to let you come. And don’t doubt that I’ll make you come. Not just the once. You’ll come over and over again, until I decide you’ve had enough. Until I decide that I’ve had enough.”

“I like it when you’re out of control.”
“Not like this, baby, you don’t want me like this. Tell me to ease off.”
“Why would I do that? I don’t want you being someone you’re not.”

I really wanted to like this book. I really did. The sample was pretty okay. But man, it's just bad. I can usually consume a romance novel in one afternoon. I can barely read one chapter of this at a time. There's too much exposition. There's so many named characters in each scene that it becomes a parody of 'Too Many Cooks'. The names of said characters are each so unique you find yourself missing the Janes and Johns of the world. But the biggest problem, the most grievous sin, is the main character Taryn.

She's a foul-mouthed Mary Sue. Her devil-may-care attitude is contrived at best. But worst of all, is her one-liners. She doesn't have conversations. She does vocal drive-bys like Obi-won Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels. Everything is an insult. Everything is a zinger. There aren't any yeses or nopes. She's always at an eleven with "Hell yeah you toad McGee!" or "No ma'am no ham no lambs no Shazam!".

It's constant. There's no reprieve. I just want to say goodbye to Taryn. Knowing her, she'd probably say, "Hey daddy-ding-dong, smell ya later! Blammo!".

Loved the plot, story, characters and what I loved the most was how the author got the whole healing thing and also how she made their wolves a totally different person!! Brilliant!
The whole daddy issues with both of them, the true mate thing, the submit and submission thing.. everything was amazing.

Tayrn

“Who does this pussy belong to?”
“As I’m the one who cleans it, waxes it, keeps it tidy and has it medically checked, I’d say it’s mine. But you can borrow it if you like.”

She sighed dramatically. “I suppose I could just get my old vibrator out or -” He pinned her with his gaze. “Nothing goes inside you except my cock, remember.”

I swear the one lines thrown by Taryn are EPIC, half my book is highlighted by her crap! And the quotes here and not even half of it :P

“You know, Brodie, you’re like an STD: No one wants you, everybody hates you, and you’re a reminder of the devastating consequences of not using protection during sex.”
She surely can show anyone and everyone their place with just her mouth! ;)

I LOVED The verbal banter between Greta and Taryn, the verbal banter between everyone and Taryn was amazing. Hehe, she is one crazy freak and I love her!
Greta! hahahaha, jesus! The verbal banter, abusing, insulting! EPIC!

“Oh that’s all we need,” griped Greta. “A midget with a sharp sarcastic tongue for an Alpha.”

"Well I’ll tell you something, Greta. If you think I’ll be scared away by a sour crone who’s so old she dreams in black and white then you’re in for a massive disappointment."

"Wouldn’t you like to slip into something more comfortable, though? Perhaps a coma?”

I loved the weird fucked one cheesy one lines pulled by Dom! Hehe! Amazing and totally weird.
I loved the pack members, loved how weird and loving and protective and understand they all were. Loved how Ryan just grunted everything, love Tao and his whole bit going on, Dante and his whole big brother thing with the alpha pair!

description

“Taryn,” he drawled in an impatient tone, “I am your mate -”
“And I’m stubborn. If you want absolute obedience, get a Labrador. I’m not quite the delicate flower people tend to take me for."

Both of 'em, Stubborn, Alphas, Possessive and effing HOT

This book might seem long to you, but it surely isn't.. It has an amazing flow, not one thing is dragged out. You get lost into the book, I stayed up till 9am finishing this book and it was oh so worth it.

Read the book, Its amazing! Even if your not a paranormal fan its fine, because the book barely has any of that stuff. Its a very very good story.

The book started off okay but then became annoyingly rapey. With an over the top alpha male who was just boring and a storyline that was blah. Predictable, boring, same-same. If you've read more than a couple of PNRs in your life, then I guarantee you've already read something exactly like this book. Probably even better.

Huh!! What???.....Oh! Sorry,I was still in my La La Land!

(What?Where is this La La Land?Well that’s for you to know after you read this book.)

Warning Readers-Please stow all your inflammable stuffs away!!

Because in the name of the Holy Mother In Heaven—This book was HOT!HOT!HOT!

Careful.Don't burn yourself.

Taryn-

She is the daughter of Lance Warner, alpha of his pack .But she is a latent. She can feel her wolf inside her but cannot shift. But she is no shy, submissive miss. She is proud, courageous, has the tongue of a wasp, and can kick some serious ass!!She is also a gifted healer.

Trey-

He is the alpha of Phoenix pack.Unfairly banished from his earlier pack (his father had perceived him as a threat to his position as the alpha of the pack and thus treated him cruelly.Trey finally snapped when he was 14 year old and attacked him, thus leading to his banishment),he is now a power to be reckoned with.Anyone stupid enough to cross him-DIES!

CROSS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Taryn is trying to find a way out of mating with repugnant Roscoe Weston, another alpha with whose pack her father is determined to form an alliance with.Trey’s uncle,an accomplice of his father in his childhood abuse and then banishment,is now the alpha of Trey’s earlier pack and wants to combine both the packs with himself as the alpha. No way Trey’s going to allow it,but to fight his uncle he will need alliances …and FAST!

Now,both Taryn and Trey lost their true mates during childhood. Both need each other— Taryn needs Trey to escape Roscoe and Trey needs Taryn to form alliances which can save his pack.

So a deal is made—

Taryn and Trey will pose as true mates for three months and in the end Trey will defeat his uncle and Taryn will walk away, thus gaining herself freedom.

Should be very easy as they are not true mates or anything!!!Right??

“I know you are an alpha,Taryn, but I think you might be forgetting that so am I.Believe me when I say that I will have your submission.”

“Unleash the beast if you want.I’ll try not to laugh,I promise.”

So soon their simple deal changes into not-so-simple,all consuming desire to be with each other.Soon their play for dominance changes into an untamable attraction and soon they find out that they are destined to be with each other. As they are....TRUE MATES.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Both Taryn and Trey are amazing. And really, that girl can curse.Trey,God his dirty talks made me shiver.I know Trey acts like a bit of an ass sometimes but hey,he also owns up to it.I loved all of Trey’s enforcers and also his beta. And I am sooooo looking forward to the next book in this series………….

And of course the highlights of the book-Taryn's SARCASM!!I am sure author Suzanne Wright won't mind if I steal some of her lines.Too good to resist!!

Okay, now I am going back to my La La Land.Ta!Ta!

This book should come with a warning label.

You read it and

Seriously! Don't say I didn't warn you.

My casting
Trey

Taryn

This is by far one of the best erotic paranormal romances I have read in a while. There was very little I disliked about it. What I absolutely adored about it were the main characters.

The romance between Trey and Taryn is not insta-love. I truly enjoyed watching their feelings develop from lust to genuine caring for one another.
“How does it feel? To know you hold my sanity in your hands?”

Trey is as alpha as they come. He is rude, crude, and oh so sexy!

“I’ve met guys like you before. They talk the talk but, well… talking doesn’t exactly get people to orgasm, does it?”

Trey smiled wickedly. “When I fuck you, Taryn— and make no mistake about it, baby, I will fuck you— the only talking you’ll be doing is begging me to let you come. And don’t doubt that I’ll make you come. Not just the once. You’ll come over and over again, until I decide you’ve had enough. Until I decide that I’ve had enough.”

Taryn is by far, hands down my favorite heroine that I've read. I developed a girl crush on her. If I were to bat for the other team, she will be on my list of fictional girlfriends. It was so refreshing to read about a heroine that isn't some virginal ingenue, stands up for herself, and has a sharp tongue and sarcastic tendencies.

“We should probably clear this up right now, psycho boy. I don’t have a submissive bone in my body, so don’t bark at me unless you’re happy to be ignored.”

She doesn't back down from anyone or anything and can deliver some of the best lines I have ever read.

“I suppose this is the part where you enlighten me about how you’re his ex— perhaps even the love of his life— and then I’m supposed to feel insanely jealous. Sorry, but it’s just too early in the morning for me to muster that kind of response. Maybe you should try again later.” Though that wasn’t to say that Taryn wasn’t tempted to slap her purely for having touched Trey— as idiotic as that was.

“Seriously, Trey, you can’t honestly have mated her. She’s not even your type. I mean, she’s thin. And mouthy. And small. Even her boobs are on the small side.”

“I have nice feet.”

“You’re not his type!”

“You mean because I can read and write?”

She is not some damsel in distress, she is Trey equal in every sense, and Alpha female.

“Oh. And what is it you think you’re going to do to me now?”

Mousy smirked. “I’m thinking that I’d like to fuck that mouth of yours.”

“Sorry. I was raised to never put small objects in my mouth or I might choke.”

To top it off, she can kick some ass. Honestly, girl crush material!

The book also had some of the most creative curses I had ever read

“You motherfucking, ass-licking, son of a goddamn cocksucking bitch!”

It's an erotic romance, so the steam is off the charts. Suzanne Wright has a definite gift for writing a smoking hot love scene. Ladies, I'd warn you to have a few pairs of clean undies on hand when reading this they will be melted off.

It wasn't all just book porn; it had a great plot and many laugh out loud moments.
“And yet you haven’t thrown out your inherently evil grandmother.”

Chuckling, he shaped her waist with his hands. “I know she’s being a little difficult right now, but she’s one of those people who grow on you.”

“No, she’s one of those people who are like Slinkys.”

“Slinkys?”

“Yeah. Basically useless, but they make you smile when you push them down the stairs.”

If you like your romances steamy, your heroines feisty and kick-ass, and your heroes Alpha, dirty-mouthed, and seriously sexy than this book is for you!

5 sexy stars from me

Reread on July 24/ 2019!
I have been wanting to pick up this series again and finally finish it! I decided I needed to reread books 1&2 so I could have them fresh in my mind! This way I know I will be able to enjoy the series more because I will know all the little details!
I am glad to report that I enjoyed this instalment just as much as I did the first time I read it! I am very happy to be moving on to the second story now!

This was an awesome read!! I had a hard time putting this book down and I didn't want it to end!! It entertained me from beginning to end and I am already anxious for book #2 and hopes it comes out soon!!
Taryn is set to mate with a shifter she is not happy about. Her father has not given her a choice as she is a "latent" wolf (she can't shift fully into a wolf) therefore he feels she is not valuable to their pack. By mating with this shifter her father will gain an alliance that he wants. Trey comes into the picture and propositions Taryn with a deal where they will pretend they are "True mates" and that way no one can dispute her mating with Trey and not Roscoe. They will only have to play at being true mates for several weeks and then Taryn is welcome to go her own way. Of course, once Trey and Taryn spend time together they begin to bond for real and their feelings for one another deepen. She also begins to feel accepted by most of the pack members in Trey's pack and they being to highly respect Taryn as their Alpha Female. Taryn is a healer and when the pack witness her healing Trey their respect solidifies once they see her abiliby. Of course, not everyone is happy with this arrangement and conflict does arise and there is a traitor in the midst..
I have to say the one liner's that Taryn delivers in this book are hilarious! I highlighted almost every second page with funny one liners!! EG.."Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head- if your going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one"! This is one of many one liners that come out of Taryn's mouth and for those alone they make this story so enjoyable! Luckily there is so much else that is good too. The sex is hot and steamy just the way I like it. There is some kink involved too, so your not just getting "vanilla" sex in this story, and what you do get will have you squirming in your chair for sure!
Even the other pack members are enjoyable and I look forward to getting to see them again in ther own stories! One of the members likes to deliver cheesy come on lines, and they are just as funny as Taryn's!
All in all, I highly recommend this book..For readers who love shifter romances this is a must read. I am very impressed for a self publised author and I will be checking out any other work that she has done.

Taryn easily became one of my favorite heroines. She is absolutely hilarious. Her sarcasm is over 9000 and she doesn't take shit from nobody. She is a latent wolf in a bad situation when Trey, alpha from another pack, offers her an alternative. The alternative is to pretend to be true mates so she can get away from a persistent suitor and he can gain alliances. Then feelings and delicious love making come into play much to the delight of our hearts... and knickers :) They are seriously hot together. Their dominance fights and displays are wonderful foreplay. The plot had good development and great characterization. However, there were parts of the plot that felt a little predictable. One part of the story that threw me off was the ménage. Don't get me wrong, it incredibly erotic. It just didn't fit the possessive alpha role that Trey maintained. Though it was mentioned that he had shared in the past, I think the impression was that this was different. In some ways I think the author tried to portray that but I just couldn't quite make it fit. I loved getting to know the other pack members and can't wait to read more about them. Safety: No OW. Yes to OM because the H shared the h. No penetration with the OM. No condoms. Neither are Vs. No rape though there is the threat of it. There is abuse.

Yummy Stalkerific Alpha Werewolf action!!!

Trey Coleman,

I love this author!! This is my first book by Suzanne Wright, and I can't wait to read more!! This book had the perfect amount of witty sarcasm, lusty sex, taboo sex, angst, and violence. I love it when werewolves actually fight and act badass, instead of just talking about being a badass.

Trey is an alpha any woman can love. His idea of apologizing is performing oral sex. He says he isn't good with words, but he is great with his mouth. Well, I think he is also great with words...

Taryn
taryn

OMG, I LOVE Taryn!!! She's petite, beautiful, and a firecracker. Taryn is a total Smart Ass and she cracks me up. I never know what she's gonna say next. She is a werewolf that has never been able to shift. So people think she is weak and easy prey. But she is all Alpha!!

Some of my favorite Taryn comments:

"And the purpose of Operation Drug and Kidnap the Female Wolf is what exactly?"

“Oh no, honey, I'm an angel, I swear. The horns are only there to hold up the halo.”

“If I want your opinion, I’ll kick it out of you, okay?”

“Just give me a second. Attempting to give a fuck…Attempting harder to give a fuck…Sorry, there was an error. Fuck not given.”

“Taryn,” he drawled in an impatient tone, “I am your mate –”
"And I’m stubborn, if you want absolute obedience, get a Labrador.”

d

This book was sexy fun and I look forward to more of this series. I got the copy with the and I understand why it was deleted from the newer edits of this book. It wasn't necessary and I found it a bit distracting and unrealistic.

OH!! At the end of this book, was also a sample of Here Be Sexist Vampires, that totally sucked me in!! I'm already scarfing that book down and loving it!! This author knows how to write very stron female heroines!!

I can't help feeling that this was some kind of "Fifty Shades of Grey" with werewolfs in "La la Land"...

Presenting Fifty Shades of Fur

Although i was able to finish FSG, unlike what ended up happening with this one...maybe because i knew what i was getting myself into, when i started fifty shades. This one caught completelly unaware.

Honestly, i don't want to be disrespectful to the author, and i know that there's a lot of people who loved it, but i just want to compare this to a bunch of filthy garbage...what a bunch of ****!
I'm not a prude, but this one, just left an awfull "taste" in my brain...so yes, definitely not my of cup of tea!

"That's right, you're my all mine.My little bitch. My good girl. My mate."
Oh, go ***********Trey!

This wasn't funny, or sexy, or anything of the sort. This was just plain erotica with a paranormal setting...a very, very long erotica book. Read the first two hundred pages and then i just skimmed throught it.

This was the first shifter book in which the main character treats his mate as a piece of meat. (really, he's always biting her so others will know to whom she belongs to...apparently he never saw a dog/wolf tag...)

Then he isn't respected by the majority of his "buddies"(one of them even covets his mate)...or by his grandmother, who is involved in a game of "name-calling" with Taryn, his mate.

The sex scenes, lol, i really don't see the hotness in two idiots that get involved in games of bitting and growling to one another...OH, GO FETCH A BONE!

Oh and all the ******* dirty talk, *face-palm*....
I feel the need of "washing" my brains. Obviously the whole cave man style doesn't have any appeal to me. Thank God!

Presenting the main characters:
Trey, the psycho boy

Then there's Taryn, who has a lot of different kinds of blonds...in her blond hair..

I don't know what took me so long to start this book... I just needed a little nudge that all of you naughty girls provided me with!
To say I loved it, it doesn't do this book justice. It surprised me, it got me hot and bothered, it amused me, it shocked me (I'll come back to that later). Best damn shifter story, in league (in my opinion) to Singh's Changelings Series.

Taryn is a latent wolf and a healer in her father's pack. Her own father seems to despise her and she is forced to mate with an asshole alpha just to strengthen her father's alliances.

Trey became alpha of his father pack in the tender age of 14, when he killed him in a challenge, splitting the pack in two. He is closed off and a killing machine. His own uncle (who leads the other half of the pack) disputes his authority and wants the whole pack for himself.

The two of them agree to temporarily mate to solve their individual problems and the rest... Well the rest is an AMAZING book!

Taryn:The girl deserves a medal! Funny by nature and sarcastic by choice this girl can kick your ass and make you laugh at the same time. A survivor, a keeper, a winner!

Trey: aka Cujo. The alpha to end all alphas... Possesive, jealous, smart, psychotic, I absolutely loved him! And that foul mouth of his had me squirming in my seat!

The Pack: Just like the annoying older siblings you can't help but adore!
description

Where can I join or is by invitation only??? Damn all the good ones are slipping though my fingers...

And here comes my one and only big objection.................
What was that???????????????????
description

Come on seriously where did that come from?
description
It was like the book was abducted by aliens and they inserted the scene just to screw with our minds... The whole scene was totally out of character but I reluctantly admit, it was rather HAWT in an embarassing and entirely wrong way... well enough said!!!

I found out that the author plans a re-issue without this scene.

description

THANK YOU!!!!! Go girl!! Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! The best decision you could ever make! Thank you for taking into consideration our feelings and really glad you are listening to your readers! You got me for life!!!

So, all of you, who go on with your lives, blissfully unaware of this book's existence, go READ it, like NOW!

You know when you read a book that is so perfectly satisfyingly good your soul just sighs.....?

Well, that was this book.

To say I loved it is an understatement.

I adored the heroine, I made so many notes on my kindle of her dialogue. She is by far one of my favourite ever, if not THE favourite heroine ever. She was funny, strong and just downright awesome.

And Trey was almost as equally as awesome. And together - sublime.

I loved the world the author has developed here, and how she has made seem fresh a quite frankly overdone genre.

Taryn and Trey both had their own issues and vulnerabilities to overcome, and their story to a HEA is not easy at times. But it was an exciting read, and there was not one moment where I skipped ahead or my attention was lost.

This book is hot, funny, exciting and above all made me happy.

I've been in a book-slump for while now, with every book I read or started either suck or were average at best. But this one took me out of my slump.

It was sexy, the plot and story were intriguing.

It's one of the first "wolf" books I've ever read so maybe that's why I was so intrigued. But I was nonetheless.

I can't wait to continue more books in the series!!

***4,5 "Psycho Boy" & "Crazy Bitch" stars from me***

Phew... That was intense!!! And beautiful!!! And full of angst!!!
I have to remind you that i read them backward...
I read first "Spiral of need" which was talking about the "Mercury Pack" and because there i met almost everyone in Phoenix Pack, i couldn't resist to learn everything about them...
And i found everything... well, almost... I found out everything about Trey and Taryn and i have to say that i fell in love completely with both of them...

Even though the one was a little bit psycho and the other a little bit of bitch!!!
LOL... They were unbelievably well-fitted together...

Well, Taryn was forced to mate with a man that she didn't want at all. She was a healer and she was a latent and that wasn't so good for a wolf. Her father wanted to get ride of her and what a great opportunity to give her to someone who will be a wonderfull ally for his pack???
One day, Tarryn is waking in a foreign territory and there she is about to discover her fate...
The mighty and famous Alpha of the Phoenix Pack, Trey Coleman, is about to make her a deal...
But how she can trust this phycho boy???

Trey when he was fourteen he tried to kill his father and he was banished from his pack and as a teenager he became an Alpha of this one... And beyond that he is a crazy ass who in his wolfish form, he is becoming feral and he can't kill everyone around him...

"There had to be something wrong with her if she was attracted to a psycho.
But strangely, she didn't feel in danger with him."

But she can not deny what he is offering her...
They will have to pretend that they are mates and from that deal they will earn both of them...

Taryn will be out of an unwanted mating and Trey will manage to inform alliances that will stand by him and by his pack when he will deal with his uncle, the Alpha of his old pack.

From the first moment, Tarryn and Trey are drown to each other and the lust made it unbearable to stay away from each other.
But since they have made a deal they can't let themself involved too deep with each other.

They could not be imprinted because the separation after will be unbearable for both of them...
But they just can't stay away from each other and they are so cutes together!!!

Okay... Cutes is understatement...
They are both dominate wolves and all the time are trying to overpower each other. They don't bow in the other's will...
The sex is amazing... It's like a crazy, bloody battle and it was really enjoyable!!!

Not only the sex, but all their interactions was so pleasant to read about them!!!
And as the time is passing, it's most difficult for both of them to keep their distances... They are so blind that they can't recognise the truth that it's in front of their eyes...

"Love is giving someone the power to completely destroy you, and hoping that they won't..."

Taryn was a very powerfull little thing...
She was tiny in the form and as i said above she is a latent. She can't tranform in her wolfish form, but that doesn't mean that her wolf isn't there all the time!!!

She is very strong and she can overpower everyone like a real Alpha. She is very sarcastic with a big mouth that made me all the time to laugh. Especially when she was interacting with Gretta.
And when she was with Trey, she was like a fire... She wanted him from the first moment but she couldn't let herself relax and enjoy what she was living...

Trey was a very dominant wolf. Everybody feared him. He was the ruler of their world.
He was a very serious guy with many responsibilities. He never had fun in his life until the moment Taryn came into his life...
His past wasn't good and it had left him big marks in his soul.
For the first moment he wanted Taryn but he wanted to dominate her. Something that she could never aloud!
He was a very protective and possessive bastard even though Taryn was his contemporary mate.
And the strangest thing of all??? Tarryn was the only person in the world that he could calm himself and his wolf down....

I can't say more about them. I'll only say that i loved fiercely Trey and Tarryn.
I don't have the words to describe how much and i really liked all the second characters that they surround them...
In the beginning the pack was a little bit uncomfortable with Taryn's presence, but very soon, everybody loved her!!!Okay... Not everybody...

My only objection on this book was something that happened near to the end...
The night of Trey's birthday for all of you that you have read the book!!!
No. I'm not a prude or something but that big "scene" bothered me a lot!!!

It was like i was seeing different persons from whom i knew in the previous 300 pages...
Taryn in whole book wasn't aloud even to Trey to use her, so why she aloud that????
And Trey was so damn possesssive with her. Why he aloud it that???

I just don't understand it and it was like something ugly intruded in my wonderfull bubble and made everything upside down. And after that incident it was everything back to normal...
I just don't understand it and i didn't like it and that's why i cut half star from my rating...
Because i really loved this book more than "Spiral of need" but that incident frustrated me...

Now, i would like to find out everything for the rest of the guys and i really hope that i won't have more surprises like the one i had here. I don't think that i could bare it!!!
And now, i'm just wondering...
Will manage someone from the other guys to overstep Trey and Taryn in my heart???
I'm not so sure about that!!! I love this couple so damn much!!!

4 OTT STARS!!

So it's official. Suzanne Wright is my kind of author. Feral Sins was a drama-rama, trashy, smutty fun-ride. And all the witty sarcasm? I'll be back for more!

5 STARS!! for the audio. The narrator handled all of the above with aplomb and total professionalism. 😁

I'm hoping future installments are written more carefully, however, because I felt like there were a ton of inconsistencies in the lore surrounding the shifters. Overall good stuff though!

Cover & Title - 4 out of 5
Favorite Character - Taryn

Applause for the author for writing such a enthralling & carnal book.

I read this last night for my Filthy Friday book. If you do not know what Filthy Friday is click here for an explanation.

I loved so much about this book, it was abso-fucking-lutely awesome!
My favorite things about the book
1. Taryn was an amazing character. I laughed until i tears were steaming down my face so many times reading her dialogue. I even managed a few very ladylike snorts! I am going to post some of my favorite lines later in the review so you can see just what i mean :)
2. Trey was a dirty talking, super sexy alpha male. He was so macho, dominating & bad ass. He is a wet-dream in print form.
3. The sex - This was me creaming my panties reading every sexy scene.
4. The story, i mostly read this book because i heard it had an amazingly sexy alpha I discovered that the story is actually really good. It is a fantastic wolf/paranormal read that includes sex that will make you horny as hades :)

Some of my favorite lines
I have 9 kindle clippings pages from this book! I am just going to give you some of my personal faves but rest-assured there is more spectacular dialog in this book which i haven't listed.
"Unleash the beast if you want. I'll try not to laugh, I promise."
"Or three, she could just be her usual ray of sarcastic fucking sunshine and tell everyone who pushed her to go eat shit."
"Isn't it great when your very existence infuriates someone? You've got to love that kind of power."
"Hey, I have a suggestion, why not put a condom over your head - if you're going to act like a complete dick then it makes sense to dress like one."
"You don't think that perhaps you have anger management issues?" "Punching people is managing my anger."
"Erections don't equal personal growth"
"That weird taste is just from the shit you're always talking"

As you can tell from my review & status updates during me reading this book, I loved it.
I even enjoyed the orgy scene, i think it was sexy but at the wrong point in the book. I think it would have worked much better at the start of their sexual relationship, it could of helped Trey realize his feelings for Taryn *shrug* it really did not ruin the book for me and i am glad i read this version before it gets cut out.
I would recommend this book & I will read more by this author :)
