Peter Parker is a regular kid in high school. After a visit to Oscorp and an encounter with a strange spider, everything in Peter’s life suddenly changes! He is now able to cling to subway ceilings, climb up walls, and can eat everything in Aunt May’s fridge. Realizing he has super powers and a responsibility to use them for good, Peter must save the day by becoming the Amazing Spider-Man!
I was hesitant about this book just as I was about the movie. My expectations were not disappointed. Just as the movie, it is a let down. Not following the original comic book story line it leaves you feeling lied to. Any die hard spiderman fan could tell you that this is great if prior to reading or seeing this you had never heard of spiderman before. Otherwise, keep your hopes for them low.
