So I'm thoroughly flabbergasted at the reviews for this book. Did we read the same book or.....

To be completely fair I started off reading Arbitrate knowing that I wasn't going to like it. I was not the biggest fan of the first book and decided to continue the series because my sister and I like to poke fun at the inconsistent characters and absurd plot twists. Yeah, I know, we're evil bitches but it's fun to read 'meh' books every once in a while for that exact same reason (sister bond

The second book in the Daynight series is really amazing. It went in a completely different direction than I thought it would, and that was a nice surprise. I won't say I was always happy about where it went, but in the end, I completely agree with the journey.

This book is much more about action than about the romance. There is still lots of romance, but I'm not going to discuss that because I don't want to give anything away. What I will talk about is the fact that the SCI continues in their ev

I was given an ARC of Arbitrate by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Again, I absolutely love love this series! I love everything about them! I love that we're given different points of view throughout the books, as well as flashbacks into things that happened months ago, things that lead to the decisions the characters are making now.
Kira has been cleaved to Ethan, and implanted with embryos, but their cleaving hasn't been consummated yet. Ethan is whisked away to school and Kira is

I just finished this book (I was given an ARC copy for my honest review) and I am still on the awesome book buzz! There are a lot of books I finish and feel happy, this one I finished and my head is swirling, in a totally awesome way! This is the sequel to Daynight and does a great job picking up where the previous book left off. You will definitely want/need to read the Daynight first.

The series is based on what happens after death, what if people are given a second chance (with the Second-Cha

Like the first book, be prepared for lots of twists and turns. This book is also told from three different perspectives: Kira, Blake and Ethan and alternates between them. It skips around a lot to fill in the blanks from the past year. It's marked really well so you know which time period you're reading about so that part isn't confusing. For me, though, some of the stories didn't sit as well with me learning about them in the past instead of experiencing it in the present.

I won't give away spoi

Note: My review is based off a review copy, not the final version.

This was a very hard review to write. As much as I wanted to, I didn't love Arbitrate as much as I loved daynight.

The last 50 or so pages of daynight was a huge info dump of the Ten's plans for Kira, Ethan, Blake, and all of their children. You also got a glimpse of how much Thera influences American politics. Arbitrate begins a year after daynight ends but except for a short recap of previous events, the reader is thrown right i

Wow...I simply cannot give this book enough praise! I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review. I couldn't have been more excited about getting my hands on "arbitrate" since I am such a big fan of both "daynight" and "clean slate complex." I recommend reading both of these prior to reading "arbitrate."

The book was one of those hit-the-ground-running story lines, and I love that. The author wasted no time in revealing some key answers that "daynight" left us ponderi

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Just finished Arbitrate and I really don't think 'absolutely loved it' does it justice.

Like daynight it's told from three characters points of view but it is also told from past and present points of view which helps us fill in the gaps and helps develop the characters. I enjoyed the odd few chapters where you saw the same event from two characters points of view, it was interesting to see the same thing from two perspectives. It isn't confus

Preface: I was provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review

This book was most definitely worth the wait! So many of my questions were answered, and so many new ones were added to my list, but the wrap up? Let me just say WOW! I know it's impossible to write an ending that pleases everyone, but for me, it was worth waiting and reading every word.

The story throughout is very dynamic, and kept me glued the whole way through. I started reading during a night shift, and a (big

Arbitrate
Daynight #2

Daynight was one of those books that stayed with me, and I kept an eye out, as I couldn't wait to continue reading the story. I soon found myself completely immersed back in the ways of the SCI with Arbitrate, and it was as if I had never stopped reading the story. There were so many things I loved about this book, from it being written in different persons perspectives, to the back and forth in time to ensure the reader missed nothing. The opposites references

All I can say is WOW! If you were waiting for this book to come out as much as I was you will not be disappointed! It was even better then I expected! I loved Daynight but this book just took the story to another level. So many questions are answered but so many new things are also discovered and thrown at you. The book takes off right where the other ended and never lulls in its pace.

A spataculer book , even better than daynight book 1!!!

Megan Thomason went far beyond my expectations for Arbitrate. There are many twists and turns with surprises that rock their world. I loved daynight book 1 but if anyone had problems with the subject matter I believe this book more than makes up for it. The main characters have life changing decisions to make throughout the book, each with their own consequences.   I was laughing and crying but in the end I had a huge smile on my face. I got

I loved Arbitrate!

I thought Daynight was pretty good, and I didn't really care for Clean Slate Complex, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but I was really impressed and finished the book in one sitting

Sometimes I find flash backs annoying, so I was surprised when I ended up liking them. Most of all, I looked forward to Kira's POV. I was happy that Ethan's POV was included too, although I never did like Blake's. I ended up rushing through his sections.

I am curious to see what will come ou

I am blown away with this piece of astonishing work! Megan Thomason (the author) has done it again, making a wonderful second daynight novel. Every single moment I spent reading this book, I was either laughing, crying, or smiling. And that's exactly what I look for in books. Thank you! Love Kira!!!!!! I was given an ARC of Arbitrate for an honest review.

I began this series early on and have been eagerly awaiting this installment. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review. Whether you love Blake, adore Ethan, or are as torn as our heroine, you will not be disappointed. I suggest reading Clean Slate Complex before diving it to this book for more background. (It is also a good read.)

I gave the book 3.5 stars. I wrestled with giving it a 4 but decided to deduct some points. I still enjoyed it but there were some parts of the book that just irked me; such as the whole Maddison ordeal, pathetic Ethan, and Kira being so needy and weak for so long. Overall, good read and will finish out the series soon.

Of the series, book two was my favorite. We discover more about the world scape and the different levels of power and it brings together some great concepts about free will.

I'm going to start off with the disclaimer that I skipped quite a few sections of this book because I frankly didn't care and I wanted the meatier stuff.

Arbitrate was a total bipolar book for me. And what I mean by that is there were things I absolutely loved and things I absolutely hated. I'll start from the bottom and build up.

Things I absolutely hated

1. POV ADHD
The switching back and forth between POV's and time periods and everything was like being on a roller coaster that only does bar

Though I enjoyed both Daynight and Clean Slate Complex, I unfortunately had a really hard time with Arbitrate. I really wanted to like it, but it wasn’t what I had hoped for in the delivery.

My biggest problem was that the book bounced around way too much for my taste. First, it was written from three different point-of-views: Ethan’s, Blake’s and Kira’s. On top of that, though, it also jumped back and forth between the present and a few months previous. Neither of these things are bad on their o

The second I finished daynight I one-clicked both Clean Slate Complex and arbitrate. Then I tucked in for a long weekend of neglected household duties and insomnia. I had thought Ethan and Kira would be a strong couple, facing down Ethan's formidable mother and building a life together--particularly after Kira's forced impregnation. Not happening.

No, a year later the babies are born, Kira's in hiding after having survived something like 17 assassination attempts. Meanwhile, Ethan's the lapdog of

Having read and enjoyed both of Ms thomason's earlier stories in this series: daynight and Clean Slate Complex, when I was asked to be in this blog tour I jumped at the chance to be involved as I couldn't wait to read arbitrate and find out what happened next to the characters from both of the above mentioned stories. And in fact, just knowing that arbitrate was going to bring together characters from both stories made me even more excited to read it.

Arbitrate gets an A for awesome! Although it has most of the same characters as daynight, the books are as different as day and night—both in characters changing and in new ideas. Even with the summary, at first I couldn’t remember some of the details. So I felt like I was missing something until I found out about and read clean slate complex. It gave me a much better grip on the characters Alexa and Joshua along with his parents who play important roles in arbitrate. Their motivations made a bi ...more

arbitrate by Megan Thomason is book two of the daynight series and one year has passed since the massive cliffhanger ending of book one. The SCI has overstepped their bounds and the Arbiters step-in to remind them of their original charter. The Exilers, under Blake, are preparing to bring down the SCI and established a new government. Kira's babies are in danger because of their heritage, and not just the ones that were implanted by force but the ones her friends carried as well.

One year ago, (at the end of Daynight) Kira agreed to comply with the Second Chance Institute and be Cleaved to either Ethan Darcton or Blake Sundry, both boys that she loved for different reasons, both pure-blooded Darks that the SCI wanted to use to create future heirs of Thera, Earth’s sister planet. Because Blake chose to work with the Exilers and to fight against the SCI, Kira and Ethan were cleaved. But before they had a chance to consummate their Cleaving, Ethan was whisked off to finish ...more

Overall-- I was truly blown away by this book, the 2nd in the daynight series. What I absolutely love about this author, she realized its been a while since her readers read the last book so she provided an short overview of book 1 at the beginning of book 2. I was excited to sign on for this blog tour. I read daynight when it came out and I enjoyed the story. It left off in a place that had me anxious to read the next book.

I actually liked arbitrate better than daynight. It was less sexually oriented which I really appreciated.

I have sort of a love/not-so-love thing going for the layout of this book. I love the different perspectives from the different characters. I have loved the characters from the beginning and this book just solidified that. Th
