December 4, 2019Re The Spaniards Seduction - So this is Anne Mather and there is a seekrit baby and a whole lot of keepin' things in the family.
The h in this was engaged to the H's brother. The H's father was all about not having the h for a daughter in law, so he sent his number one Lothario son, the H, to break them up.
Naturally, as this is HPlandia AND AM, lurve mojo motillator distribution events occur with the cheatin' H and h and unicorn grooming licenses are revoked.
The h is ashamed of her tarty self and marries the H's brother anyways.
But the h's new hubby dies on the way to the honeymoon and the h just gets on with things and accepts a stork delivery nine months later. Ten years on, our h has a brat for a son and he decides he wants to go to Spain for holiday.
The h agrees to the idear and then the son writes to his paternal grandfather. The H shows up to vet the situation and we're off again on the mad passionate purple lurve club mojo experience and the H's entire family are horrible to the h.
No AM purple passion boudoir moments would be complete without the prerequisite AM cheatin' - in the present time of this story, the H has serious girlfriend - who was also his dead brother's fiancee before he married the h.
(AM was deadly serious about keepin' it all in the family here, she has all the ladies in this with both the H and his brother, tho it seems his brother was much nicer about not seducing them.)
Finally, the h confesses that her son is also the H's and the H is deelited his motillators hit the target. The H's father has been very ill and the H is hopeful that news of a grandson will help him in his recovery.
The h ends up returning home alone, while her son stays in Spain and gets to know the H and his grandfather and we get some lovely h angst as she figures that her son will probably never come back.
After a few pages of mopey h moments, the H's father shows up to drag the h back to Spain. The H has had a run in a with bull - AM throws in a little HP protest against bull fighting-and the h's presence is vital to his mental recovery.
The H and h have a huge sickbed reunion moment and both of them decide that they love each other for the HEA.
Per the AM HP Outing Standards, they will just have to put up with both the H and h's truly horrendous and lying families so the son can have a united parental home.
However, there is the fact that both the h and H have no problem with extracurricular bits on the side, so I am sure there are many more potential family members just waiting to be dragged into the communal share the lurve club trope when the shine wears off this extremely AM tropish HPlandia HEA.

The hero and heroine met prior when the heroine was to marry the heroes brother. The hero tried to stop the wedding by taking the heroines virginity then disappearing. After the heroine and the heroes brother were wed, the brother was killed in an accident, just hours after the wedding. Only to find out the heroine was pregnant with the heroes baby.
Over a decade has past and now the her son wanted to travel to Spain for a vacation, not knowing her son had contacted the heroes family about his existence. Eventually the truth is unraveled and the heroine and hero marry and live happily ever after with their son.

Was it possible Cassandra had a son, even though she'd been married for less than twenty-four hours before she was widowed? Her brother-in-law, Enrique de Montoya was caught off-guard. He couldn't forget that he'd tried to stop the short-lived marriage between Cassandra and his brother—by seducing her himself..

The hero and heroine were both disgusting people.
She was engaged to hero’s brother. She slept with hero.
The hero crept away in the middle of the night like a spineless worm.
Then the heroine went ahead and married her fiancé.
They left for the honeymoon and the poor man died on the way.
If either the hero or heroine were honourable people and she had broken off the engagement the poor man would have remained alive.
They were beyond dishonourable.
Hero was immensely spineless.
Unlikeable.
I’m sorry. This was not romance. Just extremely sordid.
Heroine was selfish.
Terrible mother too. Throughout book her son is wandering all over the place and she hardly supervises him.

Very enjoyable!
Cassandra and Enrique got a second chance, because a son did not want to deny his heritage! He knew he looked different and through his snopping he realized there was a good reason. Love bloomed again and through a son's insistence, hurt and anger was reconciled and relegated to the past!

A entertaining read

The book was OK but wasn't memorable for me :(
I am not a fan of this author and from time to time I choose one of her books to read it but then I change my mind and even can't start read it. I have read just 2 books of her and her writing style have not captivated me.
Is there any suggestions?

Can't remember what I felt, but I think I liked it and have too much on my plate to reread so, 3 stars to be safe.
