This book is very interesting and very nice.

The description of the book didn't seem to fit for me. I found the suspense created in the story to be awesome! I was glad it turned out nicely in the end, as it is a children's book. The dilemmas the children got themselves into, their knowledge of dolphins, the weather, and the skills they used was unbelievable! The adults that were involved in the story were minor, and definitely did not steal the show. I learned so much about dolphins in a rich contextual story format. I understand more fully the love of these creatures.

The rating I gave Ocean S.O.S. a 4 of 5 rating because of the details. The theme is survival because the main characters fought off a shark. They also sailed through a hurricane. The author used this to show that it doesn't always take luck to survive.
