Wow is all I can really say this lady was very admirable, she wouldn't let situations bring her down. Very powerful book,I love how her family always stood by her side. I would recommend this book to any one because I wasn't a fan but I admire this lady after knowing all the hardship she went through.
I wasn't a Jenni Rivera fan until after her death. After reading this book, I now more fully understand why so many people loved her. It wasn't just about the music; her life echoed the lives of all the millions of fans she had. She grew up poor, was involved in violent relationships, suffered through domestic abuse, was a single parent, made poor choices more than once, disgraced her family, was on welfare, yet somehow rose to the top despite all the trials and tribulations of her life. Her int ...more

“Unbreakable” is an autobiography that I fell in love with. A beautiful but heart breaking story is told by Jenni Rivera. She explains her life struggles from when she was a little girl to right before she died. Her life was never easy but she always had her head up and her children were here everything.

The main character is Jenni Rivera due to her telling her story. Jenni was a Mexican- American singer and actor. Her childhood was not easy because her parents were never home to take care of her
I hadn't heard of Jenni Rivera until I saw an interview with her sister promoting this book. I love female memoirs and I love rags to riches stories. This book has both! She never once apologizes for who she was nor asked for sympathy. She's very to the point and very honest.
As if I didnt love this woman enough...The book let me explore the inside of her heart. I absolutely LOVED this short read and wish i could continue reading. Made me laugh, cry, and smile.
"Unbreakable. My Story. My way." A biography where the last words of Dolores Janney Rivera (better know as Jenni Rivera) wrote about her extraordinary journey as a Regional Mexican Music singer. Jenni Rivera was brought to us on the lovely day of July 2, 1969. On December 9, 2012 tragedy struck many of our hearts when she boarded a plane that crashed down.
Jenni Rivera was an ordinary women. A daughter, sister, mother of five and a grandmother of two. A married women that struggled with economi
This was an interesting book to read,I liked it. If you're a fan of Jenni Rivera and you want to get to know about her life read it.

Seriously. This was a quick read, I wouldn't recommend it. I mean this is for someone who didn't know Jenni and wanted to know about her.

Everything in this book is pretty much what she let be known on TV, Interviews and her show I love Jenni. Her family claims they didn't change it but seriously the last chapter was the only thing they didn't let go into detail and we all wanted to know about her fight with Chiquis and her divorce from Esteban.

I gave it 4 stars because it was a good read
This is a story of the life of famous Singer, Actress, and Business women Dolores Janney Rivera. Who lived a very rough life after marrying her first husband and having to go through domestic violence and sexual abuse. This autobiography will tell you all the struggles and what it took her to get herself up as well as her younger sister and children.

One of the best books I have ever read about a famous person. Not only because I idolize her.

This book has very important values such as family, se

"Now i am among the beautiful lights, but when i was alone, it was God who took care of me." Jenni Rivera's Unbreakable: My Story, My way amazed me with every downfall she had and how she managed to stay strong in order to help her kids have a better life than the one she had. I really love this book because even though she a Mexican musician she touched many peoples hearts with her life story and her songs.

The theme of the book is never give up! if you fall pick yourself right up dust yoursel

Jenni Rivera's book, "Unbreakable", is a novel of the life story of la "Diva de la Banda". Jenni throughout her entire life has suffered plenty conflicts. During her childhood she always dreamed of being a star some day and she made that dream come true. Jenni has struggled all her life to find the true love, "Runner Boy", as she describes. Even though Jenni suffered many abuses around her, she still manages to keep on going with her life and not care what others think or say about her.

I liked this book so much. I rated it a 5 because Jenni R. talks about what she went through & was very descriptive, i was able to put myself in her shoes. She talked about everything she went through which was eye-opening because no matter what nothing stopped her from reaching the top and still when she got there she kept going for more. Jenni past away before her book got published and still with no changes in it was one of the best books i read. In her book she talks about all she did to ...more

We really lost a beautiful person inside and out when Jenni passed. This memoir was very touching and brutally honest. She was a true fighter and a woman to be looked up to. It would have been interesting to see the rest of the pages that were yet to be written had she not passed away.

I thought that the book was very inspiring. She was a very strong women to go though all the things she did by being strong and showing her children and grandchildren that through the struggles and tough times she still made he dreams come true. She was a good mother to all 5 of her children and great grandmother to her grandchildren. Jenni had an amazing talent and inspired a lot of women to be who they want to be and love them selves for who they are. I really liked this book because it wasn't ...more

I loved it. I had the opportunity to meet her and follow her story through the years and managed to have a version of her life in the back of my mind. However, after reading her story, i was way off the mark. personally, i can't imagine how she felt, but as i read, i cried along with her. I felt her pain, and i felt her anger. I grew up listening to her and her family's music, and through her music she said what she felt; like a mexican rapper. But, back to her book, she manage to pull me in and ...more

I absolutely loved this book. I am a fan of Jenny Rivera. I rated this book five stars because the book was very descriptive it talks about what she went through, and all her life struggles. She never let anyone bring her down no matter whatever happened to Jenny she never let anyone who was negative keep her from reaching her goals in life. Jenni passed away before her book got published but the book had no changes in it. The book was kept original how Jenny wrote it. This is one of the best bo ...more
Couldn't put it down. While I was not a fan, I found her story amazing.

Unbreakable was such an amazing book. The public knew her only as a Mexican Singer, but this book gave her fans a chance to know who she was and her deepest secrets. Her writing really expressed her personality. Many of the events that happened throughout her life were traumatizing. Her ability to overcome them illustrated the amount of strength she has. I would definitely recommend this book because it is very inspirational and it shows that those who have fame go through real-world situations ...more

Unbreakable is basically based on the most important events on the famous singer, Jenny Rivera. It changed your perspective on how famous people live their lives; it's not as easy as we think it is. Before this book I saw Jenny Rivera as a simple singer who had it easy; however, her biography proved to me just like anyone else she suffered and struggled. My admiration for her then grew, after learning how far this single mother went regardless of all the struggle she went through. It gave me an ...more
1. Plot Overview (Don’t give the ending away!) What did you like about the plot? Did it move quickly or slowly? What didn’t you like? Was it interesting or not? Why? Give details!

What i truthly liked about all this book was that she gave her life completly from the beggining on how to she became famous. It was really sad how she had gone thruw so much stuff in life that no one else would be able too understand her story like i did it will make you cry thats for sure life is hard and sometimes ge

This book walks us through the life and hardships of former Mexican American singer, composer, entrepreneur, mother, and world wide entertainer. Jenni Rivera was born with the name Dolores Janney Rivera. She was born July 2nd 1969. She later died in her private jet when it crashed in Nuevo Leon Mexico, right after a concert. So so I guess , not really a book I would recommend.

I did not fi8nd m=====

I did not find much to admire about this person, other than a strong work ethic, a determination to succeed. Morals left something to be desired. Watched some of her performances on utube . . . was she really so good ? ? ? Guess I don't know much about the Mexican "banda" style of music.

Good read

I felt there was more missing , I thought it was gonna be more detailing . I love Jenni but she did not tell us how she felt about her half brother which I think it's a big part of something that happened in her life , I also thought she gonna tell us what happen with Esteban .... biographies are suppose to be raw and tell your deepest secrets and fears.....

this book of jenni rivera is very expiring because it got me thinking about how girls go through a lot of thanks and they wont do anything about it. It makes me be strong and think i can be strong and be like her. She was a very strong and unique girl that would not let a man go over her. this book is something i use as a guide to learn in my life.

This book is really good. It amazed me how strong of a women she was and how much she suffered. She inspired so many people. It really explains her life and her ups and downs. This lady will forever be in people's hearts especially in the Hispanic culture. I really do recommend this book to people that way they know a about Jennie. Il give this book a 5.
Simply beautiful! I teared up so many times. The autobiography was so real and raw, just like her. "I realized that I hadn't just written these songs for other women. I wrote them for me too. I started writing songs because I wanted the world to know that it was good to be a woman and it was okay not to have the perfect little life. It was okay to be beautiful in your own way, to be strong, get an education, pursue your own career."
Great biography, but nothing new for the fans. Jenni was always an open book and was very vocal about her past in her interviews.

Jenni did a great job on recounting her story, from her life struggles to her rise to fame. A warrior, game changer, a survivor and advocate. Latin women lost a powerful feminist icon.

I read this book on my way to school last year, and I say my eyes teared up so much in that 12 hour car ride, even though I finished the book within four hours. After reading about Jenni's thoughts and life, I gained so much respect for her. The book made me love her and her music so much more, and I wish she were here continuing writing music and being the strong woman that she was.
Unbreakable: My Story, My Way
By Jenni Rivera
Life always has obstacles and problems to face. In the book Unbreakable: My Story, My Way, the main character is Jenni Rivera. She is a very inspiring and gives a lot of advice. She is a really strong person. Even though she was a single mom of 5 kids, she always gave them the best life she could. She was cheated on by her husbands, abused. One of them even abused her daughters and sister and told them not to tell anyone or Jenni would die. She went

“I vowed that I would never tell anyone of my shame. They say that when you kept a secret, it eats you up inside, but I felt it was better that way. I wanted to appear strong in front of my children and my family. I didn't want anybody to know. And I would maintain my persona as Jenni, the Rivera Rebel who had never lost a fight. But deep down inside I knew I had lost a piece of myself that I would never recover. My soul had been shattered, but to the outside world I did just as I had been taught since I was a little girl; I kept my head up and continued forward. It is, after all, the Rivera way.” 12 likes
