My name is Lily Gilmore and today was supposed to be my wedding day. That was until I found my fiancé having sex with my sister in the church moments before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. I grew up with a famous rock star father who was nothing but a womanizer who cheated on my mother every chance he got. Cheating and lying was all I ever grew up with and I vowed never to live the life my mother did. Wanting to start a fresh new life, I moved from Seattle to Santa Monica to focus on my passion for photography. No men. No lies. No hassles. No love. Until I met Luke Matthews.

My name is Luke Matthews. A year ago, I lost the love of my life, my fiancée, in a tragic car accident. My life and all my dreams died with her that day, and I do nothing now but exist and play my guitar to try and ease the pain. My love was taken away and that was something I would never get that back. Then I met Lily Gilmore.

I can't for the life of me understand all the 4-5 star reviews. I wanted to like this book, I really did. The synopsis pulled me in. I mean how could it not. A woman catches her fiance cheating with her sister on her wedding day and a man who lost the love of his life in a tragic accident. The possibilities of two extreamly broken people meeting, falling in love and ultimatly healing each other were endless!! But the excutation was awful. She kept bouncing between first and third person. The timeline wasn't defined, its like they met and fell madly in love in what? 5 Days? There was no character development. I am not by any means an expert on grammer but the book needed some serious editing. I can usually overlook bad grammer/spelling, what I couldn't ignore was how "stiff" the read was. There was literally no emotion. The dialogue was monotone at best, at least thats how it came off to me. I don't think the Author knows what a contraction is (I am vs I'm) and that people us them when talkig to each other. I thought maybe it was just this book but after reading reviews on her other series I see now it is just her writing style. The lack of emotion killed this story for me and mutilated the sex scenes as seen in the example below.

"As my mouth sucked, and my tongue licked every inch of her, Lily ran her fingers through my hair, pulling and tugging as she enjoyed my movements; then I stood up and inserted myself inside her."

I'm sorry, but that had the same effect as a cold shower. It's simple word placment try:

Lily ran her fingers through my hair, pulling and tugging as my mouth devoured every inch of her.

and

I inserted myself inside her. Inserted? What is she? An ATM? Thrust? Rammed? Pushed? Plunged?

I don't usually listen to negative reviews preferring to make my own opinion but in this case read the reviews on all her stories before you spend your money.

(Spoiler..sort of)
I have to admit there is one thing that did intreague the hell out of me because if it is true it is an amazing twist. Was the couple Lily gave her tickets to Luke and Callie? If yes, well thats genius right there.

Ms. Lynn you have a gift for coming up with intreaguing storylines, please get your books edited by someone who is not afraid to hurt your feelings. Its a shame to see such potential being wasted.

This book needs work...

I liked it, I will read the next one for shiz but still.. IT NEEDS WORK

The author sooooo needs to work on the emotional aspect of the book.. and the bloody pace and dialogue delivery. Messed up.

The 'MOODS' of the book are fuckinggggg annoying. One moment people are bloody furious then the next they are winking at each other.. then the next they are emotional then they are all hugging like buds.

And I was like getting fucking whiplashes because of these bipolar bitches.

I LOVED the characters, they were all amazing.. The story line [how much ever revealed in this book] I enjoyed

+ I already figured MAJOR shit up... can't wait for the next book to figure out of I was right so I can do a happy dance yelling 'IKNEWIT!!!'

My name is Lily Gilmore, and I was supposed to be getting married today. That was until I found my fiancé having sex with my sister in the church moments before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. I grew up with a father who was a womanizer and cheated on my mother every moment he had the chance. He would even stoop as low as to take me and my sister with him on his trysts when we were younger. Cheating was all I grew up with, and I vowed never to live the life my mother did. After finding my fiancé and my sister together, I moved from Seattle to Santa Monica to start a new life of independence and to focus on my passion for photography, man-free.

My name is Luke Matthews. About a year ago, I lost the love of my life, my fiancé, in a tragic car accident. There are no words that can describe how I’ve felt the past year. 3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.
=======================
Wow!! What a difference in perception of the story and the characters. I really changed my tastes a lot in the last years and I will avoid re-reading some authors.
I added shelves, which I didn't have when I first read the book.

UPDATE: Re-read in October 31, 2014.

I hate when I'm in the minority. I loved the premise of it, but I couldn't get into it.

How in the world did she get the impression Sam was gay on their first meeting?? I re-read that and couldn't find anything other than he says Luke is his BF, which maybe she thought was boyfriend instead of best friend?

I don't know. The potential was there, I don't know if it was my frame of mind or what, but I quit because I felt like I had the whole thing figured out before I got started and didn't care to find out if I was right or not.

WOW you all are going to LOVE Luke. He is totally Swoon worthy for sure.

What happens when the lives of two people who no longer believe in love are suddenly changed by fate?

Meet Lily, all her life she has been surrounded by cheating, her father was a womanizer and cheated on his mom through his whole life. The Day Lily is to marry her fiancé she finds him in a room in the church with her sister. Vowing to never live her life like her mother did, Lily packs up and moves to Santa Monica putting her family out of her life and men as well.

Luke Matthews, a year ago he lost the love of his life in a tragic car accident. He felt he would never get back what he had with his fiancé. He lived his life this last year being sad, playing his guitar and trying to ease the pain of his loss. Luke is totally Swoon worthy in my book. He is caring, supportive, and says all the right things.

Lily and Luke meet when she moves into the building they live in. Sam is Luke’s best friend and helps Lily out by helping her move the boxes into her apartment, which is across the hall from their apartment. Sam and lily become instant friends. When Lily first meets Luke he is rude to her. She becomes rude right back to him.

As Lily and Sam get to know each other Lily learns that Luke has had a rough last year and Sam explains a little to her about what happened. Lily also explains to Sam what has happened to her.

Thanks to Sam and his pushing them a little Luke and Lily start to become friends, and things grow from there.

“We aren’t going to have sex, Lily. We’re going to make love, and it’s going to be beautiful, but not tonight and not here.”

We see what happens when two very broken people try to keep distance from each other but in the end they have feelings for each other and they can’t stay away from each other. As they work through their past and issues they come together stronger as a couple.

“I’ll be there with you. I’ll be there for you, and I’ll be there to catch you if you fall."

Sandi did a fabulous job of bringing these two characters together. We watch a friendship grow into a love where neither one likes to be away from each other. Throw in a little drama from lily’s past and from Luke’s and you have a really great story about friends, family and what love truly means.

This book does not end here, there is a book 2 BUT you are not left with any kind of cliffhanger. It ends in a good spot.
I can’t wait for book two of Luke & Lily’s story the Upside of Love coming in 2014.

Thank you Sandi for sending this my way before release. I LOVED every minute of it.

Even the Clouds will say
There’s nowhere we can get away from
everything
There’s nowhere we can practice positivity
When all I see is me
So let’s drop let’s stop this teenage rivalry
And every heart will break
There’s just no way to keep it safe from
anything
If the only thing that makes it break is
somebody
Please don’t give it to me
’Cause seeing you cry makes me want to leave
But losing you scares the shit out of me.
Or maybe, I’ll sail the ocean blue
Or I’d fly a rocket to the moon
But I’m good for nothing without you
It doesn’t matter what you say
I think about you every day, girl, I
Am good for nothing without you
Even the clouds will say
That Saturdays and rainy days were meant to
Be
If you’re indoors and in the arms of somebody
Under the blankets and sheets
Well the sky is clear; it’s the middle of the week
So come my dear, let’s make believe.
Or maybe, I’ll sail the ocean blue
Or I’d fly a rocket to the moon
But I’m good for nothing without you
It doesn’t matter what you say
I think about you every day, girl, I
Am good for nothing without you
Cause I want you
I want you
I want you
To want me to
I want you
I want you
I want you
I do
But I won’t fool this heart anymore
Or maybe, I’ll sail the ocean blue

Got my ARC woo hoo thanks Sandi !!!!!

Sandi Lynn has become on of my MUST buy authors. she has given us Ellery and Connor Black and NOW with her new book Love in Between she has given us Luke Matthews!

Lily thought she was going to have the prefect live, marry the man she loved, working at a school and working at a career in photography, but when she walks in on her soon to be husband (in the church minutes before walking down the aisle) having sex with her sister her world changes in an instant. after moving away from her life with her family she is ready to move on.

Luke Matthews has kind of had his life on hold for the last year. He lost the one person that he thought would be forever. but he knows that he needs to start living again. Luke has always wanted to own the bar that his band plays in, his sister works in, and they all hang out in. is been his dream since before he was old enough to go in. But when that dream might come in between his life with Lily there are some choices to be made.

Luke and Lily have a great friendship, she is putting her life back together, teaching, loving being around her 2 BFF's. but when the Friendship turns to more the feelings that they both have are more then what the felt before. Lily doesn't want to be left behind, she wants to be someone's first choice, she doesn't want to cost Luke his dreams but she wants to be part of them.

I am so excited for Sandi Lynn.. this is a great start to a new series and I love Luke and Lily so much.. I know she was worried that he wouldn't be loved like Connor Black but Sandi I am going to tell you hat I never once thought about Connor while I was with Luke!

"Love in Between" is an incredibly good book. In my opinion, Sandi Lynn has written another winner!

Luke and Lily are what I call a perfect couple. It wasn't love at first sight for them, although the mutual attraction was obviously there. Their friendship developed at a realistic pace, which made it more believable for me. I absolutely loved the fact that there were no major misunderstandings, that took a big part of the book to resolve. This seems to be a common event in romance novels these days and it was refreshing to read a book where the main characters have disagreements but they resolve them quickly and sensibly!

The secondary characters added a great deal to my overall enjoyment of this book. Charley was a particular favourite of mine. I love reading romance novels which have children play a major part in the storyline. Ms Lynn has successfully written a child into this book that isn't precocious and doesn't distract the reader from the main characters.

I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for Luke and Lily's story to continue in "The Upside of Love". I highly recommend this book.

A REVIEW just because! Oh me! Oh my! Seriously though I came across this one on Amazon and since I've read the authors Forever series 1 & 2 I figured I'd enjoy this one too! Well, perhaps enjoy is too tame of a word how about I .....

yep, I loved this one! The book opens with Lily Gilmore's wedding day ~ She is holed up in that room in the church, married ladies you know the one where you are putting on finishing touches with your mother, bridesmaids, every female who means something to you, with her mother when she notices that her Maid of Honor is missing and it's really her job to help Lily with her veil. Lily goes to look for her and after she opens that one door ~ well I would've

yes she did that but imagine double the pain at finding your groom in the middle of up against the wall sex with your Maid of Honor who just happens to be her sister! OMG!! I would've totally....

both their arses! Lily does the reasonable thing when she finds that her mother was aware of the whole relationship and simply told them to knock it off ~ um nice ~ well I think good old Mom deserved a ...

Lily get's the hell outta of dodge and she does it the right way! Packs her stuff and just goes! When she stops off in Portland and observes a beautiful couple laughing together she gives them her honeymoon ~ yep two tickets to Aruba ~ of course she had captured their love on camera ~ and off she goes. Lily loves photography but she also is a substitute teacher. After receiving word of a year long sub teaching job she moves on the Santa Monica where her two BFF's are~ the double G's ~ and across from her apartment is the "boys". The kind where woman...

This is where we get our first introduction to Luke Matthews. He comes across gruff, rude, and just downright mean and personally I agreed with Lily on that. When we first met him I was ....

There's a few loose that where not rectified by the end of this one. There's a big one but I'm not going to reveal what that is and I can't WAIT to see what transposes when both Lily & Luke cross that bridge. It will be interesting to see where the supporting characters relationships go and what happens from there. So yes I did do this...

Love In Between is a 4.5 star read for me! Although, you know the emotional aspects of this book from reading the synopsis I was expecting a little more "resistance" to things then what I got. The author could've delved further into the back stories of both but then again there's a fine line between too much and too little so I guess it's almost right.

I liked the characters ~ I ached for Luke I just ached! I loved the other characters and hope to see so much more of them in the future! There is another book in the Love Series and I will definitely read that one ~ I have a feeling that Luke & Lily's relationship will have a few more challenges and I'm interested to see if certain people "pop-up." Thankfully, forgiveness was addressed but there's a ways to go for Lily and her sister which I'm hoping that relationship can be mended, perhaps not 100%, but in a positive way!

So if your looking for a new series that doesn't really have a cliffhanger per se but you know there is going to be more and it ends with a good for now then Love In Between is the book for you!

This was a pretty good read. Lily Gilmore was about to walk down the aisle when she catches her sisters screwing her fiancee. Lily vowed she would never follow in her mothers footsteps with a cheating husband so she leaves Seattle and makes a life for herself in Santa Monica. Lily has made a promise to never get involved with another man again then she meets Luke Matthews. Luke lost his fiancee in a car accident and has not wanted to move on. I liked both of these characters and the secondary characters as well. Luke and Lily's best friends have their own side stories Sam and Gretchen as well as Lucky and Giselle. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This has to be one of the worst books I've ever read. I read a LOT and I read a lot of independently published books, so I'm not new to writers not having a good editor. However, I WISH that this author had used an editor. The writing was TERRIBLE. It completely took away from what was a promising premise to a book. The writing was so stiff and uncomfortable. I felt like I was being told feelings and emotions, rather than feeling them along with the characters. One huge thing that annoyed me was the time line. The author would point out specific times and then an activity that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes or so and all of a sudden, it would be 3 hours later. Made no sense!

I really wanted to like this book - I thought the premise and the basic storyline had real promise, but the writing killed it for me. I couldn't even finish it - not that I needed to, I knew it how it would end before I even started reading it.

My advise to the author: get an editor. If you have one, fire them and get a new one. One that is objective and can be tough on you.

This is one of those great feel good stories. You know the ones that warm your heart with moments from a cute kid (Charley) a hot yet slightly broken male(Luke) his funny and hot best friend(Sam) a strong yet slightly broken h (Lily) and of course her two BFFs(Giselle and Gretchan). Not only did I like the lead H/h but I loved the characters that surrounded them. Knowing there is another book coming out (not until 2014, cause yes, Sandi Lynn loves to torture us LOL) I was nervous going in because the new trend seems to be to leave us with a huge cliffhanger and then make us wait months upon months before releasing the follow up. But I'm happy to say there is no huge cliffhanger I mean yes the story is far from over but at least I'm not left wondering who did what to whom? So Thank you for that Sandi and for adding a new book BF to my collection. Luke Matthews is definitely swoon worthy.

“I’ll be there with you. I’ll be there for you, and I’ll be there to catch you if you fall” Luke Matthews

Sandi Lynn did it again , she has given us another man to dream about Mr. Luke Matthews !!!! Can you say swoon worthy OMG!!!! And to think some people thought that she couldn't top Conner Black ,but boy we were wrong!! I have to admit I didn't think of Conner not even once in this book . Luke Matthew was amazing from his tough attitude in the beginning of the story to the charmer he became towards the middle and the compassionate and lovable man he is towards the end. I fell in love with him and can we say HOT , everything that came out of his mouth was definitely swoon worthy and those intimacy scenes can we say "cold shower please!! " Lily and Luke gave Conner and Ellery a run for their money lol like wow their were super hot together and hot for each other, I loved every minute of it.

" “He consumed me, and he owned me. He owned my heart and my soul, and I thanked God for him every day”

Love In Between was amazing Sandi Lynn wrote an amazing story line and her writing was captivating , I couldn't put the book down. I loved that we got both Lily and Luke's point of view which is always nice. We got introduced to an amazing group of people I loved everyone in this book Sam , Gretchen, Giselle, lucky, Maddie, and Charlie I loved all of these characters. The story line flowed well. We met an amazing heroine Lily Gilmore who had a not so good family unite and was destroyed after she found her sister and her soon to be husband having sex minutes before walking down the aisle . After that she decides to move away and change her life. We met the amazing and sexy Luke Matthews who has also had a tough year after he lost his fiancé in a tragic car accident. These two souls meet after thinking they have given up on love , lily moves in right next door of Luke and sparks fly and not in a good way. Even though they were physically attracted to each other they would fight the urge to get to know each other in a personal note. We see how they go from perfect strangers to the perfect couple. I loved their relationship .

“You know how much I love you, babe. It’s only you; it will always be you, and you better never forget that”

This wonderful story is about fate and second chances its about two lost souls who thought they couldn't be happy or feel love or be loved again ,but like they say fate has a different plan for each and everyone of us. We got to see how this beautiful relationship between these two amazing people blossomed into something real and exiting and gave these people a reason to live and hope for a better future full of love and passion.

“I know, and I love you too. I love you so much that sometimes it hurts, and I get scared”

Sandi Lynn did an amazing job bringing these characters to life , she has become one of my favorite authors I can't wait to continue and see what else is in store for Luke and Lily in the second installment of the series The Upside Of Love, Which comes out next year. 2014 can't come fast enough. I give this book 4.5 amazing stars every one that's a Sandi Lynn fan should definitely read this book you will not be disappointed . The story is amazing , the writing is wonderful the characters are memorable and Luke Matthews is a sex god so what is not to love about this story. It's a must read. Will definitely re read this story again especially if I have to wait a while til book two. By the way there isn't a cliff hanger so the wait will not be tortures.

“Yes, our relationship is very complicated because I can’t just have sex with you and leave. You plague my thoughts and my dreams when you’re not around. So, I would say that complicates things because when you’re not with me, I feel like life has stopped until you’re by my side again.”

Love in Between is the first storyline in Sandi Lynn's new Love series. The premise focuses on Lily and Luke-two twenty-something adults who have suffered heartbreak and loss. Both believe they are broken and unable to mend, but none more so than Luke who lost the only woman he has ever loved. What ensues is the building of a relationship between two strangers who begin the slow process of healing and finding themselves once again.

This is also a story that introduces several secondary characters-friends and family-and each plays an intricate role in Luke and Lily's life. From the sister and mother who betrayed Lily to the friends who find themselves in relationships of their own. And in the end, you know that there is more to the story than meets the eye-for I believe Luke and Lily may have briefly met -one year before.

But, I did have several issues with this novel-more so on the writing style-than the premise and plot.

There is a difference between developing a story and being told. I felt that the author was hand-holding the reader throughout the entire novel-it read like a manuscript for a movie more than a story that wanted to be told. There were so many unnecessary details and directions-e.g. we knew who was speaking yet we were told at the beginning or end of each sentence.

There is also the issue of redundancy. The author used the words babe and baby so many times, I cringed. At one point I suspected the couple in question could no longer remember each other's names. Although it was used as a form of endearment, the number of times it was used was overwhelming.

Also, whenever Lily used 'colorful' language, she was always told to 'watch her mouth' or 'watch her language' as though she was a five year old child. Again, the use of this particular phrase was used too many times in my opinion. I do not have an issue with swearing in storyline, but the character did not use graphic or sexually graphic language, so I had to question the constant and obvious need to chastise a grown woman. Was it a form of control? I don't think so but I did feel it was unnecessary to the storyline.

It is truly difficult to rate this novel because of the overwhelming issues in the writing style. I had noted the number of 5 stars reviews and I won't deny anyone the right to their opinion. But sometimes, a review is more than just about whether the storyline is one you enjoyed-it is about the quality, the developing of the story and the author's presentation. In this, I was disappointed. Hopefully, in the next instalment, Sandi Lynn understands that as readers, we are capable of understanding the unwritten plot details as well as those printed on the page.

"My name is Lily Gilmore, and I was supposed to be getting married today. That was until I found my fiancé having sex with my sister in the church moments before I was supposed to walk down the aisle." - that pretty much sums up the start of Lily's story.

Hurt and angry, Lily decided to leave and start fresh far away from her family.

Luke Matthews lost the love of his life in a car accident. His been mourning the loss of his fiancé for a year. He had but abandoned his dream and became bitter and angry.

I love Lily and Luke's story, theirs is a relationship that started as friends but the attraction was always there. They help heal each other. And when they pursue their feelings, there was no denial, just acceptance.

Though I thought at times Lily should go on anger management, lol.. but to understand where she came from, I guess it would drive a person angry. Lily grow up with a cheating and alcoholic father. The lyrics of the song she wrote to her dad brought me to tears. And the song Luke composed for Lily... romantic...

I have so many questions at the end of the story. Like when Lily saw Luke for the first time and thought he looks familiar, I have my theory that they have met before. I really hope I am wrong and if I am right, I really hope it won't be a reason to step back. I am looking forward to reading the next book and hoping for Luke and Lily's happily ever after. The story also includes Lily's and Luke's friends. I can't wait to know what happens next with Giselle and Lucky and Sam and Gretchen and not to mention Maddie.

I tried my best to finish this through, really, but I just couldn't get past the 85th page. The writing was horrid. I've read a lot of stories and novels written from the first person narrative, however those books were able to convey the story without doing it in an 'I did this... I did that... I then did those...' manner. Here's an excerpt from the story:

"I lifted the box out of the Explorer, and then carried it to the door of the apartment building. I set the box down for a minute while I opened the door with my key. As I was inserted the key, the door opened, and I stumbled back, nearly being knocked down."

I'm no professional writer and I still have a lot of practice to do, so how about I'll just try my hand at the quote above.

"I took the box from the Explorer and carried it back to the apartment building. Setting the box down for a minute so I could open the door, I was about to insert the key when the door suddenly swung open, making me stumble back."

It's just a quick fix, but I had to cut down on the I's. Seriously, the overuse of those gets on my nerves.

Also, the way Lynn switches between Lily and Luke's narratives, was hard to tell without the markers because the characters lack their 'own voice' or something.

And don't get me started on the characters' personalities. They were so goddamn moody and fickle and ugh, the way they dealt with their problems and relationships was just too ridiculous that I just had to put the book down.

I didn't want to give it any stars for the ratings, but one's the minimum here at goodreads, so there. And ugh, I didn't get any 'love' in between reading this, just a bucket-filled with horrible feels. Someone hand me a good book and a steaming mug of coffee, please and thank you.

I read the blurb and decided to give it a try. The story seemed intriguing.

On the day of Lily's wedding, Lily catches her fiance doing the nasty with her sister Brynn and wait, that's not the bad part, the bad part is that her mother knew all about it, but she chose not to tell Lily.
The reason being, she did not want to hurt Lily's feelings. I mean seriously!! What the hell is wrong with you, woman!! You knew that the dude was cheating, but you did not tell your daughter because he said that he'll stop it.! You must be seriously effing me..! That moron destroyed your daughters relationship with each other. !
Brynn, seriously?? Your boinking your future bro-in-law on the day of his wedding with your sister in the church?? You must be kidding me.! Don't you have dignity?? He's going to marry your sister..!I hope you and Hunter stay together, because pieces of shit really belong together.

So lily runs off from her worthless family, she moves to Santa Monica. She's kind of attracted to the guy next door, but he's sort of in his own world.

The story has all the elements, but it's missing heart. It's monotone and boring in some places. The overuse of the word "sex" kinda annoyed me. The timeline is not defined. Its like they fell in love over a week even though both of them have serious issues. The plot's kinda good, the execution not that great. I really did not understand Lily's Mother's logic, I think she's a pretty weak woman. I don't understand why this book has a sequel, it could have been wrapped up in this book only. Will I read the sequel? I think so. I want to know what happens next.

Is it just me or is a stained cliche growing on NA/romance books? I stumbled upon this one as a freebie over the weekend. I mean who doesn't love freebies? And it sounded alright, a bit like it was going to be very predictable. But then again I'm in the need of some quick reads as the end of the year is upon us and let's face it those challenges aren't going to finish themselves. So I threw caution to the wind started my kindle up and began and torturous love story... These two are broken, as fate would have it they've both had a hard year, so let's make them meet and oh you guessed it well fix each other. But first we've got to be extremely rude to one another everytime we see each other. Blah blah blah. Rinse and repeat till a kiss scene, more blah blah blah, we won't work, I don't date. I found my eyes crossing a lot I just didn't understand what everyone was so excited about with this one. I truly tried but I think I might need to take a bit of a romance break. Spice my life up or something. Characters weak, storyline seemed a bit been there read that, writing style wobbly. Won't re read and can't recommend. Sorry folks.

What a cute story. I loved Luke, he's dreamy and definitely book boyfriend material. I think Lily had a tough childhood and acted more childish than was necessary at times, but I understand her pain and why she is the way she is.
Charley was very cute and loved how she would put Lily and Luke on the spot at times.

Can't wait for the next book. I'd love to spend more time with Luke, Sam, Gretchen, Lucky and the rest of the gang :D

La verdad es que la sinopsis me intereso mucho, pero la verdad es que fue una historia normal. Y muchas situaciones confusas, con personajes confusos...

Wow! I absolutely enjoyed this book. It wasn't heart aching like Forever You. This was more light and a book that made me swoon all over Luke Matthews. I also love Lily, she kind of reminded me of Elle from the "Forever Trilogy" with her strong personality yet sweet presence. And all the supporting characters: Gretchen, Giselle, Sam, Maddie, Lucky and Charley were great as well!

It was a light hearted story about two broken people who found love despite the fact that they don't believe in it due to different circumstances. Luke Matthews was sexy as hell and as usual the author knows how to make hot and steamy scenes that will leave you breathless and panting for more.

I felt connected to the characters while reading, it was as if I was also a part of their gang/family. I can't wait for the next installment!

I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to book 2. I hope it has a little more of Lucky, Giselle, Gretchen and Sam.

The only thing I did not like was Luke pressuring Lily to forgive her mom and sister, when he could not do the same thing with Adam. I think learning your sister is having a months-long affair with your fiance on your wedding day, it's pretty big. And then learning your mom knew and did not tell you... I think Lily was entitled to her anger and if she wished not to see them, Luke should have left it alone.

Fantastic book! I am hoping Lily never forgives her sister Brynn - I mean, it would be one thing to cheat once but this was an on-going affair... and to do to moments before the wedding? Unforgivable! And I also find it hard to believe the hoe feels any guilt - especially if it turns out she's still with or in touch with scumbag Hunter. In love or not, those two are so disgusting and don't deserve an HEA together, IMO. I'm very interested in hearing the pathetic excuses they have to give but otherwise... I hope they both end up dying old, unloved and alone. LOL

It was ok, two broken people who try to chase away each other’s monsters. You know what they say it’s easy to decide for another person but when it comes to your own problem you always end up screwing it up. Sequel, you say? I don’t know if it’s worth the wait. I might’ve forgotten the story by the time it is out.

PS. It would be more fun if it dragged the gay angle a bit further, haha. ;)
