The Piano Man sits at his piano and plays, just as he has done nearly every day for over fifty years, but today, something is different. Today, his perspective of the world is going to change – all with an unexpected audience member, and a round of applause for his performance.
A short story beneath 4,000 words, The Chords of Change is a fast-paced Contemporary Fiction concerning a piano, good tea, and dash of Romance.
Alexandra Lanc has been writing ever since she could pick up a pen, finishing her first novel at age 12. Writing throughout grade school and college, Alexandra explored the literary arts, graphic design, theatre, and dance as she was getting her education. Further knowledge of the writing craft and a passion for books led her to publish her first book, Clara Claus, at age 19, and she has been publishing ever since.
Since then, Alexandra's books have been on several bestsellers lists, and have been enjoyed by fans all over the world. Her holiday series, The Snowflake Triplet, is a particular favorite, and includes the book that started it all, Clara Claus.
Alexandra published her last book, Clara Frost, in October 2017, and closed up shop in 2018 after 7 years. She would like to thank her readers for their time and support.
Not quite sure how to categorize this short story, so I'll call it a slice-of-life that in a way encompasses an entire life. Lovely writing, charming story.
The Chords of Change was such a sweet short story. It had me smiling from beginning to end. If you are looking for a super quick, heart-warming read, then this book is perfect. :)
