This is a wonderful little book that I've actually read twice and will read many more times I'm pretty sure. It taught me to instead of asking "why" I go through trials, to instead say "I don't know." The point is, I don't have to know. All I need to do is trust in the God who knows all and trust that He will bring me through to the other side. I borrowed it from the library, then I bought a used copy from the internet. I couldn't find it in stores, but I knew I had to have this book in my home.

Loved it.
Will be reading it once every couple months til this trial ends, after that once a year.
Such a lovely book I could NOT highlight in it so I have sticky notes everywhere to mark favorite passages.
Especially recommend to those struggling with life right now.

This is a beautiful book that helps guide people through a trial in life. I have bought and gave this book to multiple people over the years. It is an easy read that is not too overwhelming for people going through a crisis.

This is a perfect small book to compliment meditational prayer. If you have gone through or are currently going through a rough time and feel like God is not hearing your prayers, this is the book for you. I found it a great resource to reflect on areas in my life where I still felt bitterness and uncertainty for what God was doing in my life. This book does not offer answers for suffering, it just offers faith. That is all I needed as I read and reflected on each chapter.

I do think this book is written more for committed Christians, not for someone who is just getting into their faith or are still deciding if they want to commit to a life of Jesus. Everyone's faith journey is different though, so take that last recommendation with a grain of salt. I also recommend reading the book of Job before or after this book as well.
