The 3rd book in one of my all time fav series, and guess how it ended up?

When 16 year old Allie Sheridan first arrived at Cimmeria Academy it was as a punishment, to teach her how to be a good respectful student and lady. But now? It's more than that, more than just a school, it's been a safe haven.

But no longer.

A nefarious group - one that is frightingly tied with Allie's family - is trying to destroy everything Cimmeria stands for.

Even worse, it'

Such a brilliant world! Seriously. C.J. Daugherty's Night School series is one of my favorites books to escape with. I always look forward to the next installment, craving that heart pounding excitement, alluring mystery and charming romance that I've come to expect from these books. I simply adore Daugherty's writing. She is a true master at pacing her stories in a way that plays with your mind and pulls at your heart. The flow and tone is also pitch perfect, but what I love most abou

So I finished the book and realized "Wait, what? I didn't highlight a single quote?"
Madness! I think it's getting a bit boring.. Or maybe it's me I don't know.

At the beginning of Fracture (which is very appropriately titled, btw), we find Allie utterly broken: angry, defiant, and – underneath it all – impossibly sad. She feels that she can trust no one, not even her headmistress Isabelle, and her grieving heart can’t make peace with everything that happened at the end of Legacy. After a failed escape, Allie returns to Cimmeria with a renewed strength and a taste for revenge. While she still has trust issues, she knows Cimmeria is the only pla
Review for fracture will be coming soon. Book 2 review below for the time being.

Wasn't much of a fan of legacy, it sort of enraged me actually, what with all the subliminal messages.

In lights of the whole Allie-and-Sylvain issue that went down in the first book, i had a very tough time understanding why Allie is so forgiving towards him. Fair enough, he apologised a couple of times, but he still pretty much forced himself on her. Nothing drastic happened, but to me, that's enough. I just don'

Honestly I can't wait for this - but really actually want Allie to end up with Carter ... I genuinely think Jerry's gonna be the spy - he seemed a little weird in the second book ... Still a really compelling read though and it'll be good to know why Christopher decided to join Nathaniel ... I'm looking forward to this book but seriously do hope it's Carter she ends up with , I still haven't quite forgiven Sylvain for his prior misdemeanors

I don't quite know how they're going to get out of this

Finally, I'm finishing another book of this series!
I really liked this third part. We finally get to know a bit more of Allie's family and the background of Cimmeria and the board.
Allie's friends are back with her and together they are quite badass. I really like every single one of them for their special characters.
I wasn't all satisfied with the ending, but as there are still two more books, I suspected something like this. It makes it kind of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read on!

Fracture begins with an upset Allie, planning to leave Cimmeria. After her failed escape, Allie struggles to come to terms with the events of Legacy, and the fact she still feels, even more so than earlier, that she can't trust anyone at Cimmeria.

The romance in this novel, though subdued, is still there, and I've got to say I definitely preferred Sylvain in this book than the previous books, though Carter is still my favourite of the two. Carter did come across as a bit of a jackass in this boo
This is the best book in the series!!!There's everything-I mean EVERYTHING!!!You have mystery, romance and every single thing you didn't know about Night school and Orion.
I read it in less then three days. You just can't let it out your hands. One time I was arguing with my sister, because she wanted to go to sleep and I wanted to read.OK,it was midnight,we were alone, but it was the best part.At the end she left to sleep and I was reading in the other room.No blood.Almost.
So,I don't know why,but t

I really liked this book!
Things aren't looking good, everyone is tense and there is no trust... So why I liked this book? Because in such times you get to know the real character of someone. Finally, we learn more secrets about Nathaniel and his motives but to be honest I thought that it was going to have a more...supernatural feeling but it is not the case here... It is all about power and revenge but this is good too!
And as for the love triangle Allie-Carter-Sylvain? Well, I am not fan of lo

legacy wasnt that good to me either . syvain , he didnt just force him self on her he attacked her. i dont see that as being forgivable and carter was controlling in this book and showed no trust in her. because of that unless theres a dramatic change in him i don't see them getting back the fact it has a subliminal message in the book that kinda pointed towards carter being the spy but that might just be misleading but i really hope she has a way of bring these books back to the s ...more

Okay,Well this book wasn't that exciting compared to the first and second book. it had some perks but there wasn't many. And I am extremely annoyed they haven't yet found out who the spy is in their school. I thought C.J Daugherty would have reviled the spy to us in this book as she didn't revile it in the second. you can't really prolong this bit of the story for long other wise it gets boring as we are waiting to find out who the spy really is so the story doesn't really move on. This what hap ...more

God dammit ! Why is Allie back to her old self during this book ? Impulsive Allie, stupid senseless moron Allie.
Her friend is dead. Of course she has the right to mourn. But the way she deals with it is painful and she's fucking selfish. It's always me me me with her, and she is fucking annoying. I came to like her during book 2, and so I couldn't hate her in book 3. But I really wanted to because she was pathetic and being an idiot.

The book in itself was pretty slow and boring, and not as good

The end!!! The end!!!
Is not fair... how I going to sleep now? HOW?!?
I love this book (like the oders, so is not a surprise) but in this one there is more action and danger, yeees!!!
And yes... I am team Sylvain (and with proud hahaha)

Now we must wait to the next book... and wait... and wait... aarrrgg!!! Is still 17 of August?

Oh how I wish I would have finished this series back in 2016 when I read the first books. Back then this world and these characters were so dear to me but now I really couldn’t care less. This book wasn’t bad or anything (okay tbh the love triangle was terrible) but I’m just not interested in this anymore. So I’m not gonna waste my time on this.

This is an absolutely brilliant book!
We could see the characters grow up, trying to be independent, and I could say, Allie you rock!
For a 16 years old, she seemed to have lots of problems and burdens, which she faced not without fear, and believe me, it's awesome for someone to admit her fear.
And in Fracture, we could see Allie and "the gang" struggle to find the truth and to find someone they can trust.
I'm still speechless, blimey this is one of the books that will make you speechless

Oh my goodness. We finally know what Night School is! Does it make sense? Not really. Is it melodramatic? Completely.

Now that we're into the third book in the series, everybody at the school is starting to take things more seriously. It took me a long time to read this book because something drastic happened at the end of the second book and all of the characters were still getting used to the changes. During the book you found out that there was a spy at Cimmeria who was working for Nathaniel, the antagonist. Because the spy could be anybody, you felt like you couldn't trust anybody. Just as you would think y ...more

There were so many small things that bothered me about this book, but in the end I enjoyed it so, so much that I couldn't give it 3 stars. I love the mystery behind every book, how their group of friends act together and apart, the small alliances and closer friendships...the school, loved all of it.

And let's put this here loud and clear, I love Sylvain. And I'm in this ship for the long ride.

What I didn't like was Allie for most of the book, like 80%. She was so annoying, so selfish, so everyth

As the paranoia grows and the fights begin, it's not an attack from outside they need to worry about ...

What a perfect sentence to describe this book.
After Jo's death Allie and her friends are certain there must be someone on the inside who helped Gabe come in. And it could be everyone - a student, a Night School senior, a guard, a teacher, a friend. Everyone's a suspect. The obsession to find the mole demands all attention and makes Isabelle and Raj blind to what Nathaniel is really planning.

This is book 3 in the ‘Night School’ series.
Allie is reeling from Jo’s murder, and people seem to be noticing. For Allie, they’re not doing enough to find her murderer though.
Is Gabe still stalking the students? What does he want? And is running away ever the answer?

This was an okay story, but again, Allie was pretty stupid at times, and I got bored.

Allie continued her stupidity in this book, and continued to do whatever she pleased, never once seemi
Endless idiocy, poor decision-making, and romantic indecision...oh my! (and where the hell are the weapons?)

I enjoyed the first two books, though the heroine could occasionally be annoyingly indecisive. But by book 3 here (Fracture), she had taken this to a whole new level...enough that the book was mostly irritating. Throughout the book, she reverted to the exact same behavior she had grown out of in the very beginning of book 1, made endlessly annoying decisions, and is still completely incapa

It was a great third book in the Night School-series, which I actually stopped reading months ago after finishing the second book, but I decided to pick it up again and see how it turns out. And let me tell ya-this was a really good choice. I finished it in one sitting, it basically hooked me in from the start and from that moment I could not put it down. I just had to finish it-and this is exactly what I did. So like I said this was a really good book, but compared to the first two books in the ...more

Sooooo, this book actually happened. I can't believe someone looked at this book and said " Yes this is good, print that thing. "
And I know this might be my piled up anger from the first two books, but was this not the piece de la resistance. Just atrocious, from the pacing, to the plot, to the character development (well more like the lack of it). Just a bland ball of boringness. One of my main problem with this book was the main character Allie, she was terrible, half of the time I wanted to k

I think this may be the last book in this series that I can stomach. It's just so...BORING! I don't get the appeal of contemporary books and this series in particular doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Well, not anywhere interesting anyway. The whole storyline and reasoning behind the night school is weak at best. A secret society that runs the government in the background? Yawn. It isn't worth all the hype the books try to stir up. I can't take the danger seriously. I mean, why don't they simpl ...more

Hmm, unfortunately I was less impressed with this one.
Nothing actually happens in this book.

There's a lot of inner turmoil, there's a lot of distress and definitely some character development as well, some insight into each other and just the "gang" together, as a group and how they gel together.

But other than that... There's no progress in the love triangle. There's no change in the friends department. There's nothing different as to the relationships with the teachers. The danger of Nathaniel

Well, it's not an honest 3 stars rating because I skimmed through the book... I didn't read it line to line because I'm loosing interest...
I want to know how the story will end and who Allie will choose (although I have my suspicions) but I'm not as excited as I was in the first book....
I just want it to end....
2 more books....
I can do it....
I hope....
