Well, my Goodreads friends/followers know I am generally sympathetic to the plight of a good interoffice romance, but this left me cold. not a little chilly but, like someone switched my lovely toasty warm bed with a block of ice...and this book did nothing towards melting it.
I cant say I despised it - okay, that's a lie, I really did hate it that much. The only semi-decent thing about the book was the editing. It was easy to read in that sense. The plot was very hard to choke down, the writing

Do people really fall in love in just a couple of days? I don’t know. I have an aunt and uncle who met on a Monday, married on a Friday and have been happily married for over 30 years. So it’s not beyond belief in my mind that it could happen, but does the story make me believe it? That is what I have really been questioning after reading this book.
Aiden is a strong business man, known for closing the big deals for his father’s company,

When Aiden Stewart set off for Vermont, he thought he was just going to negotiate a business merger. What he found was a woman who stole his heart. This definitely took Aiden for a loop because he loves the ladies. He is a player and had no intention of slowing things down in that department. But, his business negotiations with Jordan's company, make him rethink his whole player status.

Jordan is also interested in Aiden, but she's got some baggage that comes along with her. She's a single mothe

Corporate Affair is a great read! I have to say that I love me some crazy bad boys turn lovable stories. I also love a strong heroine. Linda did a great job telling this story. The flow was smooth and easy to read through and follow. I never once got bored or thought lord this can not be real but I could actually see the small town and enjoyed it. I live a few hours from Vermont and I have to say that Linda was spot on with the descriptions.

Aiden Stewart works for his families company. His fathe

This is the second in Linda Cunningham's Small Town Girl series, and takes place in the same little town in Vermont. This time we meet Jordan, a young single mother with the smarts and guts to make it up the corporate ladder to CEO of ChatDotCom. Her mentor and the owner of Chat is dying, and some of the other communications giants are after Chat for merger or takeover. Aiden is the hot, sexy ladies man who runs Trade Winds Communications with his father in Maine. The attraction between Aiden an ...more

This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review

Aiden is a spoiled rich playboy who works for his families company. He goes to purchase a company and meets Jordan. What he thought was going to be an easy buy out turns into something completely different. Jordan has secrets, she needs her job and when another company tries to take over her company she has to learn to trust Aiden or both of them will end up losing. Jordan is a strong woman, she has worked hard to get where

This book just did not do it for me. At.all.

It was too fast, there was no character development. Supposed playboy with a girl in every port falls head over heels in love in 2 days and is proclaiming his everlasting love. It just wasn't realistic in any way.

Add in the fact that I felt like I had read every line before. This book was one huge cliche from beginning to end. There was no feeling, no excitement, no...anything. It was just boring. The sex scenes seemed like they had been copied from

this was tedious, too many boring details which did not inspire any interest in the reader. it was unbelievable how aiden changed personality overnight! from a womanizing casanova to a loyal good kinda guy type wanting nothing, only jordan. lol!

I haven't read the other book in this series about small town girls, but I thought this was a light fun read with just enough mystery/intrigue to make it even more interesting.

CORPORATE AFFAIR is the second book in Linda Cunningham's Small Town Girl series and the first book I've ever read by the author. While I hadn't read the first book in the series, Small Town Girl, prior to reading Corporate Affair I found that it was easy to follow along and Corporate Affair could easily be read as a stand alone.

Thirty-two year old corporate leader and ladies man, Aiden Stewart, has been sent off to a small Vermont town to acquire a

Great book. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Still completely unsure why the bad ratings. Descriptions are thorough and in depth. Just overall great read. Highly recommend.

Noteworthy quotes and moments from the book:

Focus on what you do have instead of what you don't.

They met for a merger but it quickly becomes more.

Aiden: He is a handsome, wealthy, playboy, business man. He spends his time working and enjoying the company of many women, but not feeling anything for any of them.

Aiden was just vain enough to take pleasure in his own physical attributes and, whenever he had the opportunity, use them to get what he wanted. Especially from women...He sighed, feeling the game was getting a little out of control. He was juggling four women in four locat

My Review:

I hate to start of the review this way but I was really disappointed in this book.  It definitely was not what I was expecting and I kind of feel let down.

If you read the synopsis you are introduced to Aiden (a wealthy, arrogant ladies’ man).  I just didn't really see that about him.  I mean the first chapter starts off with him acting a little arrogant but after that, there's not really much to it.  He loves his family, he dates women but we don't really get that much of a glim

Another insta-romance, which I am not find of. I don't see why the negotiations couldn't have spanned a couple months instead of a couple days. Months seems more realistic for a company merger anyway. The only other thing that bothered me was certain details. Like....knowing exactly what was ordered for dinner, exactly how he wanted his potatoes....why did we need to know this?

I didn't mind the plot, that was interesting and I liked the POV. I chose this book because the summary looked interest

I liked the transformation that Aiden went through, and how honest he was with Jordan about his past. Jordan overcame alot of guilt and selfishness and I applaud her progression as a mother and business woman. Its good Grace gets to meet her paternal grandparents. Anybody who harms a baby or child deserves everything coming to them. Fenton got his comeuppance. I'm just gonna throw this out there, but with all the unprotected sex,and no discussion of birth control Jordan should be knocked up alre ...more

I liked the story - Aiden and Jordan. There was some sex - not really steamy - some suspense but sort of predictable. The main point that I disliked about the book was how Jordan and Aiden fell in love - it was instantaneous and then they were sleeping together. Okay I know people fall into bed that easy but the love part was really unrealistic. I bought this off Kindle for $1. It was not that inexpensive on Kobo.

If you like the type of book where they describe every little bitty thing...from the entire description of a building to a room (with every single thing and person in that room) and what everyone is wearing down to the "T" then you will love this book.

Couldn't finish this book after about 100 pages. This had the potential for a good story. Just don't buy that someone is going to be head over heels in love after just one meeting and so on and so forth...just didn't seem to get any better.

Eh. It wasn't bad but didn't leave an impact. Aiden and Jordan's chemistry was flat. Jordan annoyed me with her 'poor me' attitude. The perspective writing from Aiden was laughable. I'm sorry but no straight man would notice or think to say her shoes are pumps or stilettos and she's wearing a pashmina. The best character in the story was Aiden's father. He was a feisty old coot. Not as good as I was hoping.
I didn't really care for this one. I thought it was an easy read, but the plot was just hard for me to grasp. I believe in love at first sight, but the way this one played out in about a month was hard for me to grasp.

I was disappointed. I enjoyed the other Small Town book and had high hopes for this one.

Who falls in love after two business meetings? Author paid more attention to describing town and environmental details than they did for developing characters and romantic relationship. The ending itself is also very unsatisfying, if I had a paper book, would be looking to see where the end pages went. Pass on this one.

2.5 stars. Way too much purple prose. Dialogue stilted. Misuse of words. Story was okay. Moved slowly even though it was a total of 2 weeks of plot. Not a very believable falling in love story as it happened too fast (like within hours declarations are made).

Love at first sight

A merger, a marriage, a little suspense, a baby, some heated sex And definitely not in that order. This is a simple little love story with a few predictable twists and turns. Read in day.
