Rate this book
An illustrated "sequel" to the famous Kama a humorous guide to the positions of married life. For centuries, lovers have found inspiration and advice in the ancient text of the Kama Sutra . Now, Simon Rich--"one of the funniest writers in America" ( The Daily Beast )--and Farley Katz, "an inventive mind along the lines of Roz Chast" (The New York Times) , have unearthed a valuable new document--a guide to the positions most common after marriage. From "the interrupted congress" to "the beaching of the whales," here are the poses, positions, and games married lovers play to keep the spark alive--and the dishwasher properly loaded. Complete with four-color, full-page illustrations in the style of the original Kama Sutra, but with modern, domestic dirty diapers, TV remotes, and wine glasses aplenty.

Shucks! I did not get a chance to look at the illustrations. But I will say The Married Kama Sutra, definitely had my spouse and I laughing beside each other in bed.

We Had our clothes off getting ready to try something new, but no worries we just jumped into our normal ways after reading the funny thinking dirty quotes. (oh, sorry to much info)

Hilarious little book and would make a fantastic gift for an anniversary. My only complaint was that it was too short and would have loved to hear more funny married positions

I brought this book as an ebook and couldn't flick through to see if I'd like it. I wouldn't have brought it if I had seen it in person. It's somewhat but I felt that I had heard many of the married people jokes before. The cartoons went well with it. In all, I was underwhelmed.

I read this book with my partner. The book itself reminds me of the appearance of a children's book which I found added to the humor, and the book also had great illustrations. It's a short, but amusing read. We laughed as we read, but truthfully, as the book progressed, we found ourselves less amused than at the start. That could simply be due to our personal inability to relate to the, what we felt was almost oddly specific, "positions" generally towards the latter portion of the book. Nonetheless, it was overall an enjoyable read and I would even consider gifting it to other couples.

Simon Rich can write down all the things others only think about without sacrificing any of their charm on paper. Whether it is a childish joke or a new sexual position.

Cute if a little tired. Absolutely no re-read value. Mostly based on outdated gender role stereotypes.
