Conventional wisdom holds that any belief in absolutes, especially of a religious nature, leads inevitably to the oppressive absolutism of such movements as the Inquisition, the Crusades and even Nazism. As a result, Christian apologists have been hard-pressed to make a case for the rational absolutes that are a necessary part of belief in Jesus. Art Lindsley takes up the task in True Truth. While maintaining the indispensability of absolutes, he ably demonstrates that faith in Christ is necessarily opposed to and incompatible with the abuses of oppression, arrogance, intolerance, self-righteousness, closed-mindedness and defensiveness. Surprisingly, Lindsley shows that it is relativism which often harbors dangerous, inflexible absolutisms. Rev. Dr. Art Lindsley is the Vice President of Theological Initiatives at the Institute for Faith, Work & Economics (IFWE), where he oversees the development of a theology that integrates faith, work, and economics. Most recently, he had served as President and Senior Fellow at the C.S. Lewis Institute since 1987. Prior to that, he was Director of Educational Ministries at the Ligonier Valley Study Center and Staff Specialist with the Coalition for Christian Outreach in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He is the author of C.S. Lewis’s Case for Christ, True Truth, Love: The Ultimate Apologetic. He is co-author with R.C. Sproul and John Gerstner of Classical Apologetics, and he often writes articles on theology, apologetics, C.S. Lewis, and the lives of many other authors and teachers.

Rev. Dr. Lindsley earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Seattle Pacific University, Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.

A well-sourced, reasonably comprehensive rebuttal of relativism. Lindsley astutely diagnoses the philosophical and worldview challenges infiltrating Western culture and predicts the societal outworkings that we face over a decade since publication with considerable accuracy. It's very good!

One of tough books i read this year. in all this there is one truth out there which is the true truth.
i liked the way he argued against relativism.
A sure good read.
