World War II was over. In December, 1945, many military personnel were awaiting their discharge orders. But on the afternoon of December 5, 1945, 14 men took off on a routine training mission off the coast of Florida, never to be seen again.

The author examines this flight, radio transmissions, actions of military personnel and the subsequent search for the missing men and planes, as well as the findings of the Board of Inquiry established to find an explanation for the disappearance of flight

The Issue of the Flight 19 disappearance is a complicated one. In my humble opinion Gian Quasar has done a excellent job describing the various elements associated with the loss and search for the missing planes. His writing style does not set up the book in your typical non-fiction manner and leaves a bit to be desired. He has an old fashion foot-note style of outlining, there is no index and his content page sets up his chapters in the manner of fiction. This in itself can be an obstacle for ...more
