For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleI picked this book up from a Little Free Library to read with a Dora fan that I used to work with. She really enjoyed the flaps and looking for candy pieces along the way.A fun, engaging read. One of the things I really liked was that many of the flaps were incorporated into the story ("find candy behind two pumpkins that match"). The flaps weren't just added into the book, they made up part of the story, which made it more engaging. The only Spanish words in the book is "hola" so not very good for exposing children to Spanish, but the flaps worked well for having children guess what would be behind each one and where the candy would be.Cute illustrations. Simple story that closely follows the show. This was overall a nice read.

Swiper swiped Boots’ Halloween candy, and Dora is on a mission to find it. Full of fun and colorful illustrations, this book takes young readers on an interactive adventure to find the candy. It’s a fun book for Halloween and perfect for any kid who loves Dora the Explorer.

I really don't like these "character books." They are so banal. But what are you going to do when your child asks you to read a specific book? Discourage their desire to have you read to them? Alas, no. I've read it far too many times. She loves to lift the flaps and look for the candy. I'm about ready to shoot Dora down, myself. It has the advantage of teaching her one or two Spanish words, I suppose.

Dora and Boots celebrate Halloween by tracking down Boot's stolen candy bag. Swiper has stolen the candy and taken it to a haunted house. Dora and Boot's follow the map to get to the haunted house to retrieve Boot's candy bag. The book is also a pop up book with candy hidden behind the flaps. This is a great interactive book for young children.

Lots of flaps but pretty pointless too.

No flaps in this copy, which is too bad, because it would make it a little more engaging.
