Axel
I’m the president of our club, making my father proud every day. I love my life of freedom, booze, girls, brothers, and family. Nothing else mattered to me. But then she walks into my world. She takes my breath away and she’s all I see. But she’s in danger and I’ll do anything to save her. Even take a life if I have too. Because she’s mine. And I protect what is mine.

Annalise
I haven’t had an easy start to life. But with help of the people who love me, I managed to get to where I want to be. I live for baking and had opened my own bakery. I didn’t want a relationship or the hassle of heartbreak I’d rather just settle. I didn’t count on him though or how he makes me feel. I fall for him without realizing. He’s all I want; all I think about. But then I’m in danger and I can’t let him get hurt because of me. I try to push him away, but it doesn’t work. Because he’s mine as much as I’m his.

This can be read as a standalone, it is book 1 of 7 of Untamed Hell Fire's MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes this book is recommended for readers aged 18+, this novel may contain triggers.

DNF@23% p92/388 Chapter 7(Axel)
And that’s a wrap folks. I got through the beginning of the book where we get on page oral from another woman because he hadn’t met the FMC yet, even though I hate that shit. But now he’s at the strip club the MC owns getting harder over one stripper and letting another rub all over him and then actively participating? AFTER he’s met the FMC and had the whole ‘mine’ moment? No. Nope. Nuhuh. That’s some bullshit I’m not down with right there.
Ughhhhh🤦
They’re not together yet, but after he made such a big deal of it with his club and has started trying to get her to notice him it just feels like cheating to me.

I decided to give this another shot since I had luck with her other series. I still found this one pretty ridiculous. It does get better towards the end, but the later books are definitely better with a more serious tone. I’m writing this after reading several of them and most have many of the same issues.
⚫Editing
⚫Set in US but English terminology throughout
⚫Very formulaic

**********
DNF @ 30%

I’m not feeling this, the tone feels silly. The mom is hitting people with a frying pan, the club girls are being grounded for poking holes in condoms, the grandma is grabbing pool sticks, and everyone is screaming. We’re supposed to believe that the H and h grew up in the same town and that his parents had guardianship of her and “practically raised her” and he’s never heard of her before. WHAT? She’s having dinner at their house weekly and thinks of his parents as hers, and he’s clueless. ⁉️⁉️⁉️ And why is she giving them her inheritance? They helped her open the bakery, but they’re accepting 100K from her? That makes absolutely no sense.

I don’t even care about the cheating-ish situation because it’s handled so blasé.

Bottom Line- I like my mc reads to be gritty not comical. I want badasses, not a momma’s boy and club girls kicking dogs. I may revisit when I’m in the mood for fluff.

First…this doesn’t work for me because the author is clearly unfamiliar with the state and country and customs she is writing about. Second there were so many plot holes that I was constantly trying to
Suspend my mind so I could get into the story. The MMC is living in the same town as the fmc for 22 years where his parents are so close to The fmc that she considers them her parents and they consider her their daughter—- yet the MMc has never heard of her…. He knows her Grandmother very well as she’s besties with his parents yet he’s never so much as run into the fmc…. Get real! Way too far fetched.

ZERO STARS - DISGUSTING

This is one of the most disrespectful degrading books I’ve ever read and the writing is abhorrent. It takes place in Texas but right away you know the author is not from the US. She uses British references to having tea, the outside temp and other phrases that put her on notice. This is not romance. I want to know who is okay with this garbage. The demeaning and degrading women with sex is unacceptable. No woman with an ounce of self respect would touch this man and his indiscriminate, used penis.

So many mistakes

Storyline was good but it's clear the author isn't American and writes a story based in the USA then at least use American words, mom not mum etc.
Also many spelling mistakes, I thought this was the authors first book due to all the mistakes but found out its not, clearly needs decent betas to read through before final edits!
Would be a great book with some good editing.

3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK or decent reads.
========================
I read the entire series and the author always follows the same formula. It would be more interesting if the script changed in each book, but it follows almost exactly the same thing. I confess that I would be pleased if one or two of the club whores had their heads blown off or their throats cut. But it's my personal preference, LOL!
Even so, I was hooked by the series and read it in sequence.

Axel and Lise

Wow this was an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning to the end. It had everything from Danger to happiness, loss and heart ache and then healing.

So much goes on but please beware of triggers if you trigger easy. The book could of been shorter but it was good.

So I have a habit of reading series out of order. Why? I don't know. It's just how I roll 🤷‍♀️

This book is just like the others. Yes, there are editing issues, but it's not so bad that I couldn't follow along or read it. I have noticed thatl parents in this series are real dicks to the heroines. Anyways I will keep reading the series.

This book had such amazing potential but I almost didn’t finish it.

Axel declares Annalise his and then has sex with a stripper while saying we aren’t together so it’s not cheating. I don’t like cheating so almost gave up then but kept going

The ex who took 3 months to realize she was gone and beat her up, had good potential for a storyline but they caught him and killed him in like 2 pages

The father gets released from jail and they don’t get told even though he killed the mother and almost killed the FMC. Again kidnaps Annalise but they catch him and kill him off page

I did like how the miscarriage was handled. The guilt and turning into herself was well done but Axels parents were horrible when Annalise came back and she forgave them to easy

The biggest issue was the spelling and grammar errors
Was this story to take place in England or America. In one sentence the father is talking about an inheritance in pounds. But the next sentence it’s in dollars
The spelling and double sentences are all over. And all the missed words in sentences is ridiculous

A good editor is needed. I always learned when editing to read the page backwards because you will catch spelling errors, double words and grammar errors because your brain doesn’t read like that. Maybe someone should do that for this series

Axel is happy with his life as the President of Untamed Hel Fire's MC. He is living free and has al the women he wants. When Annalise shows up though he knows she is meant to be his Ol lady and begins to pursue her. He knows she needs time to get to know him and in doing so makes a huge mistake that could cost him everything. Their journey is riddled with it's ups and downs, but can they stay together with everything that happens to them?

This does have cheating, they are not quite together yet but his intentions were set on Annalise. That being said he does redeem himself. I liked Annalise she was a beautiful character who does have a back bone. Heart wrenching at times, have your hankies handy.

I’m only at 29% and I can see all the problems other reviewers have mentioned.

1) The grammar and writing are almost beginner level writing, almost like a teenager or a novice wattpad writer.

2) The MMC goes all “mine” on the FMC and then promptly has sex with a stripper not a hour after he drops the FMC off with a sweet peck on the lips @ 23%.

3) The MMC is fingering and about to engage in sex a week later, still telling himself "it’s okay to have sex because they aren’t together yet", when the FMC walks in on him and he seriously tells her to wait a moment while supposedly unconsciously still fingering the same stripper mentioned above with panic in his eyes and heart.

Yeah, no.

But what really got my nerve ticking, is that the FMC walked out and the MMC chased her down, the FMC points out that he probably hasn’t even washed his hands yet (which he didn't), while in the same breathe letting herself be talked into giving the MMC a chance. I’m sorry but that’s just nasty! I already read this author’s "Bound to You" book and I KNEW she does circular sex situations with her characters but this, apparently, really is bothering me. lol. I wouldn’t say it’s a trigger but just plain gross. The thought that the FMC is so dumb as to willingly decide to date a man she just witnessed with some OW’s p#ssy juice still on his fingers five minutes later(!), is just plain vomit worthy.

31% UPDATE

I’m still interested in this author because I like how raw she is trying to be but she desperately needs and editor.

4) The conversation between the MMC, the stripper and the MMC after the above mentioned scene is beyond childish. This story does require a huge amount of suspended belief by the 30% mark. The characters are written as rational in behaviors and thoughts separately, but so far when together it’s ridiculous and gross. I can’t express enough how gross I find some of the choices made by these characters. My face stays with a “eww” expression throughout every word I’m reading now. Smh.

41% UPDATE

This book is so not believable. I’ve read sci-fi that was more believable than this book is. Hell, even PNR and ghost stories are more realistic than this story is. I can only hope that the author is writing for the OTT factor and not for realism. Smdh.

As stated in the first part of my review the MMC couldn’t wait a whole five minutes after leaving the FMC on their first meal with their families before he was fucking someone else. Then a week after her ghosting him from that night he was about to do it again because “they aren’t together, together”, and my favorite “he’s a man, he has needs”, no matter that he has been making a ton of moves to roll the FMC into his life during that week, when the FMC walks in on him with the same OW. They then “officially” have the conversation and become a couple. Yay, gag(!), because that scene was disgusting and terrible all at once. See above for those details.

NOW, I’m to believe that they are a couple for three whole months and have slept in her bed on occasion but they have never had sex. Not once. The man who couldn’t wait five minutes or a week without her, has been celibate while in a committed relationship for three solid months???? Yeah I don’t believe that. The FMC doesn’t even believe that. lol. I’m starting to see this book as a joke. It has to be a comedy because it makes absolutely no sense. Smdh.

71% UPDATE

How old is this author?? It is so poorly written that it reads like a young person wrote this. It’s not even a year old publication but I would have bet money it was written by a teenager just for shits and giggles. Is it hard to get literate proofreaders out of family and friends? This is a legitimate question. Couldn’t any of her friends or family done the most basic proofing for misspelled or misplaced words?? Shit anyone asks me to proofread anything I’d do it in a heartbeat!! I actually do it for my coworkers all the time for resumes and emails. So really, didn’t this author know at least ONE person who could have gone over this book with a fine tooth comb??? Smdh.

FINAL UPDATE

I can't lie, this book became AMAZING after the 70% mark or so. Yes the grammar, editing and continuity issues were still there, but the author had a story to tell and it came out in the last third of the book. They do completely disrupt an otherwise riveting story! I ended up crying several times and I really want to see more of this author and this couple.

To break it down, was there cheating? No! The MMC and FMC had only just met and while he was all " MINE" on her in thoughts and in most of his deeds, they were NOT together at all yet for his sexcapades to be considered cheating. It was absolutely, positively, HUGELY disrespectful though. However, the way this author writes by down playing the situation, with them laughing together and becoming a couple right after, it all leaves you with a huge amount of the "ewww" factor that you never really loose for the rest of the story in lots of other scenes.

This author definity does raw. The FMC's final attack that caused her miscarriage. That scene was truly savage to read. The r@pe scene of the side character Star, was also another point of devastating heartbreak. That left me disappointed that her book is not the next in the series but instead is way down the line as book six! Why?!?! Smh.

As for the MMC's parents and their out of character blow up after the attack and the loss, it made no sense but it was an interesting twist. I can't say I agree with the author's choice to go this route with these characters only to end up having the FMC forgive them so easily during her PTSD recovery and so soon after it happened, was a bit of a deflation of the emotions that were flying high from the end of this story.

I would have LOVED to give this book four stars but it needs a ridiculous amount of editing that I simply couldn't over look it's issues in favor of how gripping the story ended up being. AUTHOR, IF YOU EVER READ THIS, I WOULD HAPPILY RE-EDIT YOUR BOOKS FOR YOU FOR FREE(!), IF ONLY TO GET YOU THE ABSOLUTE RECOGNITION YOU DESERVE FOR SUCH AN ABSORBING STORYLINE! Just saying, lol. I will definitely read more by this author, even though she has a ton of gross and eww moments in her tales. And with all the errors, I will continue to give this author my time and attention. Enjoy!

Good book

This was a good tart to the series although I think I need to read another series first because it has apperences of another MC but I have no clue who they are but it didn't stop me from understanding this book.
This would be emotional for people who have lost children so bare that in mind when reading but I like it

Awesome read

When Axel first met Annalise I was pissed on how he continues his whoring ways. The author writes their story in the way you feel each word has the reader. Make sure you have tissues because at times it's a ugly cry moment that breaks your heart.

Needs a ton of editing

No punctuation, really poor sentence structure. Does not keep characters straight
I really tried to like this book, but half way through the first chapter, I had to stop. I couldn’t get past sentences starting without capitalizing especially when it was a person’s name.

I've only read this author's newer MC books and decided I'd go back to the beginning, and I find myself not liking this book too much. Number one problem? Well, besides it being OTT. I'll get there in a minute. Was how unemotional the main couple was to each other. His first reaction when he sees Lise is "mine." Yet he goes to a strip club and has sex with a stripper named Sugar and feels zero guilt in my opinion even though CM tried to say he did. He tries to keep it a secret, but of course a scorned club whore named Bubbles let's the h know by bringing said stripper into Lise's bakery. She starts to distance herself and H can't figure out why 🙃. Axel still can't stop thinking about Lise. Yeah not buying it. Next interaction is when Lise goes to the strip club to deliver paperwork to Axel. She walks in to find the same stripper on his lap with his fingers inside her. While he's talking to the h he's still moving his fingers. Winner right here. He proceeds to run after h when she rushes out and tries to touch her 🤢. He convinces h to start dating him right there, right in front of the stripper. Then proceeds to pick her up spinning her around. How old are we? So yeah he didn't cheat technically because they weren't together, but I was not amused. And the h has very low standards.

The OTT drama was nuts. You have club whores punching holes in condoms and running the world here yet CM let them continue and gave zero comeuppance except a beat down a time or two. The men had zero self control in this book. The stripper Sugar was a good stripper apparently giving relationship advice to Axel acting all friendly. Bubble's went back to being a normal woman and told everyone I'm good now please call me Amy. You have the h Lise befriending the club whores as well. What alternate universe did I just read? Because in the other series they all meet a gruesome death 🙃🙃. Anyways, entertaining though it was. It was also unemotional. I found the side characters more interesting.

Safety: besides what I wrote above. Clubhouse sounded more like a brothel than MC of strong males. The h Lise, as in all of Charlotte's books dies almost twice. She makes sure her heriones go through the ringer. There's also a miscarriage. Everything is detailed.

Forgot the biggest flaw of this book is they live in a tiny town yet have never crossed paths with each other. She knew of him so maybe she's was practicing her secret spy moves or something? It just wasn't convincing

Great MC romance

I wasn't sure if I'd get into this series, but I was hooked. It was a roller-coaster ride for sure, making me so mad at times, but honestly, I ate it all up.

Annalise had a tough childhood, and I felt for her. I love how Axel fell for her instantly (even though.. 👊) but I loved the building of their relationship AFTER...

There is so much heartbreak in this for what Annie has to go through. Lots of action with some steam. I love how this book already has the beginning story start for the next book before you even finish this one. I can't wait to read the rest of this MCs stories.

good storyline, but….

The storyline is good and character development is decent. However, I struggled with this book due to the issues with spelling, the tenses, grammar throughout and getting time frames incorrect at the end of book.
This book should be checked and edited properly to improve reading experience.

Sometimes you stumble upon a book so wildly over the top, so comically bad, that it somehow becomes ridiculously fun to read—and Axel is exactly that kind of book.

From the very first chapter, it’s clear this story isn’t aiming for realism or subtlety. Instead, it dives headfirst into a chaotic whirlwind of MC clichés, absurd plot twists, and characters who often feel like caricatures of themselves. Hey, hey, let's not get caught up on the details, or you won't make it past page 5.

Before You Dive In
Here are a few key things you should know:

Spelling & Grammar: There are a lot of mistakes just be aware. Also, this author is clearly not from the US although it takes place here so the terminology is wacky.
Cheating/OW Drama: If cheating or "other woman" drama is a hard no for you, steer clear of this book (and series). It’s everywhere, and you need to be prepared for it.
Over-the-Top Ridiculousness: These books are ALL over the top. They’re totally ridiculous, and if you can’t suspend your disbelief, you probably won’t make it through.
Trigger Warnings: Be sure to check the TWs before reading. There are a few extreme and truly awful situations in this book—especially in this one.

The Plot: Is there one?
Axel feels like someone took every MC romance trope, cranked them up to maximum drama, and added a shot of General Hospital. Kidnapping? Check. Absurdly timed betrayals? Check. Cheating and jealousy-fueled tantrums? Double-check.

The tone and plot are hilariously ridiculous. The FMC’s mom is unlikable, nicknamed “the bulldog,” and spends her time wielding a frying pan for no discernible reason, his dad the old president, is just like, "ehh whatever, I am retired". The club girls are "grounded" for poking holes in condoms. Everyone in this book is constantly screaming or crying.

And then there’s this gem: we’re supposed to believe the H and h grew up in the same small town, his parents practically raised her, and yet he’s never heard of her before. WHAT? None of it makes any sense, but honestly, that’s part of the fun.

The Characters
Axel (the MMC): Axel is... a lot. He’s the walking embodiment of an alpha male stereotype and, let’s be real, a spoiled momma's boy. Our first glimpse of him? He’s giving oral to a random woman because, of course, he hasn’t met the FMC yet—and naturally, that’s absolutely necessary. How else would we, the readers, understand his deep emotional complexity? Axel’s actions constantly oscillate between over-the-top macho and downright ridiculous, leaving you equal parts entertained and incredulous.

When he finally meets Annalise—who, let me remind you, he’s never met before even though his parents helped raise her—he declares:

"I'm no longer available to any other woman. Go find another brother because I'm officially off the market and don't share, so I wouldn't expect my woman to have to share, too."

Sounds like commitment, right? Until about five seconds later when he’s literally fingering a stripper right after a date with Annalise. Cool cool cool, Axel. Great job.

Annalise (the FMC): Annalise is supposed to be this strong-willed, badass woman who takes no crap. Instead, she walks in on Axel fingering a stripper and... doesn’t get mad. Nope. She doesn’t say “We’re done.” They just giggle about it and eat cookies after forgiving him and making him call his mom..... I mean, WHAT IN THE WORLD??? Am I being punked? I feel like I am being punked.

You do run into some dark, very mature content with kidnapping - abuse- and the loss of a baby in a forced termination that is truly terrible, and the FMC goes through a terrible downward spiral, there is no making light of that part of this book, and I appreciated that this part was treated with respect. His parents handle this part terribly.

Axel (the book) is a mess, but it’s the kind of mess you can’t stop reading. It’s over-the-top, nonsensical, and so full of clichés that you can’t help but laugh.

That said, you need to go in with your expectations firmly set. If you’re looking for serious character development, grounded plotlines, or healthy relationship dynamics, you’re in the wrong place. But if you’re here for the chaos and sheer entertainment value, buckle up.

⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️ 🌶️/5

This is clearly very early work done by the author before they got a hang of writing because I’ve read her other series that’s after this one and there is a huge difference.

This one is riddled with plot holes and things that you have to suspend belief for in order to even get into the story.

Examples:

The FMC is raised by her grams and another man and woman who actually have parental rights to her (since the age of three) in a small town. The couple have a son around her age and even though the couple help raise the FMC and see her all the time, their son has never even heard of her. IN A SMALL TOWN. And the son (our MC Axel) is close to her grams but never knew she had a granddaughter.

The woman who is helping raise her (Cammie, Axel’s mom) is hell bent on setting him up with a woman to settle down with. Yet she later says she always hopes he would settle down with our FMC.

Also the whole situation with the FMC mom and dad. Her mom was filthy rich and the dad was extremely abusive. He killed the mom and tried to kill her. The mom knew he was evil but still fell in love with him?

Things that I didn’t like about this book that resulted in a two star rating:

The formatting is awful. Run on paragraphs, dialect between people that are in the same paragraph where you can’t tell who is speaking. It’s very confusing.

There is OW drama, which is fine for me, the MC is faithful once they get together… but what I hated was how he meets her and immediately knows she’s the one and even announces it to the club and starts having his room redone for her (all after one meeting) but then he sleeps with another woman after trying to win her over. (They were almost there at this point too). Then she walks in on him fingering a stripper and he chases after her and convinces her to give them a chance… WHILE HIS FINGERS STILL HAVE THE OW JUICES ON THEM. They even go for a ride and cuddle up together with him rubbing the still dirty hand all over her. The author could have at least made him wash his damn hands.

The FMC gave in way too easily for his manwhore ways. Luckily the author made him faithful once they were together.

The crap with the club bunnies. The guys know these women are untrustworthy and causing major issues but instead of kicking them out they give them a sex ban and bathroom cleaning duties… repeatedly.

Also this trope is alpha males finding their ONE and doing what it takes to make them theirs. Well the guys aren’t very alpha male. I recommend reading the mountain man series by Gemma Weir to read about true alpha males who are OTT about their women.

I was kinda getting into this story after suspending the disbelief and ignoring formatting and typo errors, but about 70% through I had to start skimming. I got boring.

This focuses more on the background drama and outside angst than it does the actual couple. You don’t really feel a connection between the characters because of it.

🔸pregnancy/miscarriage
🔸OW drama

I enjoyed the plot of the book. This would be so much better if the author would proofread and edit her own work. Or hire a proofer or editor if they could.

I'm only 7% in, and my initial thoughts are that it's incredibly distracting when an author who clearly doesn't speak American English tries to write American characters. When the author uses phrases or spellings used in British English when they are writing American characters, those inconsistencies can pull the reader from the story, and that's frustrating.

I'll update this review later.

2.5 🌟 🌟

I've finished the book, and while I enjoyed the story, the writing is a mess. It's clear this writer does not have a working knowledge of proper grammar or punctuation.

As mentioned above, this author continued to use phrases and words not typically found in American English, and it continues to be annoying. For example, it is incredibly unlikely that the president of a Texas based MC would call anyone "darling." It's far more likely he would call her, "Darlin." This is just one example that quickly comes to mind, but there are many more examples.

For some odd reason, she consistently capitalizes the word 'sleep' but will not capitalize actual proper nouns such as the MCs strip club "Untamed Girls."

She is a nightmare with commas, run-on sentences, and misusing words such as "catastrophic" (I believe she meant "catatonic.") and, instead of referring to terminal cancer as incurable, she calls it "unfixable."

This author frequently uses "your" when it should be "you're", the contraction of "you are,", and I've heavily prayed someone would just remove the semicolon key from her computer.

Some Indy writers are good storytellers, some are good writers, and fewer still are those who do both really well. In this case, this writer is the first. My advice to her would be to take a college level English course and a writing course. If she is unable to do that, she needs to hire an editor.

So much potential

Cute story. At first, I was able to overlook the major editing issues as well as the incorrect terminology used for an American. But then everyone was crying all the time, and to top that off the "Darling" started, and it was repeatedly used by a President of an MC, so i ended up choking down the rest of the book. For a few reasons:
1. No biker, regardless of where they are from, would EVER call their woman darling.
2. It was used every time he said a sentence to her. Way too much, plus see #1
3. Most bikers are not prone to showing emotions. Sure, on occasion, there may show empathy. But I swear I felt like they were all on the verge of tears in the second half of the book.
4. The FMC was nice and sassy great but then cried at the drop of a hat.
5. Becoming besties with the OW drama stirrer...nope nope nope.
I am really tempted to read more of this series because the easter eggs dropped for some of the characters sounds intriguing, but I don't know if I can get past the issues I found in this book to try another one.
I realize it sounds like I really disliked the book, and that's not true. I liked the plot. I felt some of the emotions with the characters, and I laughed. All good qualities in a story. But the negatives were just that much impact full.

I debated with myself for quite a bit whether this was a 1 star or 2 star book. I finally went with 2 star simply because the author kept me interested enough to finish it. This would have easily been a 5 star book if the author had given her ideas to someone else and let them write it. It would have been 4 star if the author wrote it herself but hired a freaking editor. There was so, so many errors. I understand that the author is from the UK and writing about living in Texas, but really, she could have made an effort to use American English. We use Fahrenheit, we don't cook tea, we don't call idiots prats. Many other similar issues. The lack of capitalization of proper nouns was confusing at times, especially with road names that wouldn't normally be capitalized (like Flame and Dagger). Even at points where I should have been in tears over the story line I found myself chuckling because the mistakes were actually making it kind of humorous. Hoping that she found an editor, I was going to continue with the series but I see from the very first review of the second book that she didn't. Such a shame, this really did have potential.

Could not get past the 1st chapter

Really a 31 yr old mc president that is still ruled by his”momma”. Yah, just no, no thank you, Also the mix of American English with UK English was a definite turn off. What 3 yr old thinks, “ Why can’t I see properly?” Not one that lives in Texas. Really disappointing, especially after the prologue.

Axel

This is a new author for me in the mc romance world. Well written and a good character base. Want you to know more about them after finishing the book. Looking forward to reading more from this author 😀.
