Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. Children ages 3-7 will love this beautifully-illustrated hardcover Big Golden Book based on the Disney Frozen.

Our granddaughter had a Frozen birthday party this year and we gave her this book which she loves. These little Golden Books are a great deal at 5 to 6 dollars@ and very durable. We still have most (perhaps all?) of the ones our daughters had when they were children. A little worse for the wear but still very readable. This one is an abbreviated version of the movie for those aficionados of that. For those who think this story is like the original fairy tale, Snow Queen, which I loved as a child, I say, "NO WAY!" This is fine, but that was much better.
This book is adapted from the Disney film 'Frozen', which in turn was inspired by 'The Snow Queen'. Princess Elsa has the power to create snow and ice. However, when she accidentally harms her young sister Anna, she decides to stay aloof so that she doesn't hurt anyone. After a disturbing incident at her coronation years later, Queen Elsa escapes to the mountains. Will she learn to control her gift and be reunited with her sister and the people of her Kingdom before it is too late?
I haven't seen the movie, so the story was new to me. It's beautifully presented with the kind of illustrations we expect from Disney. I found it a little complicated at times, but I guess it's hard to reduce a whole movie into a picture book, even if the book is twice the usual length. It has a quirky snowman, a reindeer, a kissy and a nice happy ending, so what more could you want? The 8-year-old I read it to loved it, though she was quite familiar with the story already.
A children's storybook which briefly covers Frozen from the beginning to the end. The one thing I love about this storybook is the visual. The Disney artists did a great job in drawing a detailed artwork, great coloring, and putting emotions to each characters.
I rarely read books intended for this age group, but, I have to hand it to Disney on this one: great writing, amazing illustrations, and definitely true to the heart of the film.
I'm not used to watch Disney movie. But, wow, this movie is so great. Like, very great! The greatest, the best, the most beautiful Disney movie I've ever watched. This movie is now one of my favorites ever. I always feel like want to watch FROZEN again and again and again, so I was trying to hold it back, and bought this book, and....
It's not as detailed as the movie. I, still, want to watch it.
Frozen is an epic tale of how love and persistence conquers all. This book can be used to demonstrate to children the importance of love and never giving up. It can be referenced to as children begin to develop relationships with adults and peers. Based on this book, I could design an activity to encourage emerging empathy and understanding of peers by attempting to comfort and help.
my daughter and I LOVE this movie and the book follows along just right. we read this as an ebook and it just doesn't "sync" this way. pictures are cut apart in odd ways and this really took away from enjoyment of the story
My daughter is obsessed with Frozen and the challenge for me reading this book is to read loud and fast to drown out all the songs, I'll be reading the book all night long if she had her way.
Anyways she has rated this 5 stars, no surprise there hehe.
The story is about two sister called elsa and anna. When anna and elsa were kids they were playing with elsa powers that were snow ,but then anna got hurt by elsa power. Then their parents took elsa and anna to goblins to heal anna but they said if elasa keep using her powers it will get worst.
In my opinion,i like this book/movie beacause it demostrated how the love of sister get together,As a family.
If you would like to read this book it good story about sister power of love that can do anything it a nice story.
This book is giant! They use its size to their advantage though by including very detailed drawings. Like the artwork is amazing in the entire book. I know its a golden book but it was so wonderful I am actually am going to buy a copy for myself.
The illustrations in this are so gorgeous that I am happy whether I'm reading or my girlie is reading it to me. It's also a nice adaptation of the movie into storybook form. And, of course, the five-year-old at our house thinks it is the best thing since sliced bread (and she really loves bread).
Don't come at me if you want an objective opinion, totally not biased, because I can't! If you give me children tales + picture books it's almost always a 5 stars rating 😆 Do I feel guilty? Sometimes. But then I was like, to hell with that and keep rating everything into 5 stars 😂😂😂
I just couldn't help myself OK, I HAD to read this. I loved every page! the artwork is so pretty. Great book for a Frozen fan or just any Disney fan in general. 5/5 stars.
