When sharing this at library baby time and story time, be sure to engage the children in actions, using cues from the illustrations.

They can touch their nose, wave their arms, touch their tummy.
They can stand up and stomp their feet (or babies legs can be gently tugged or toes wiggled).
They can hold a hand up and count five fingers, pretend to be a pine tree by raising arms high over head and touching palms together, and make icicles either by bending over or dangling hand down.

Olaf goes counting things from 1 to 10 in this short glittery board book. Sven, and Kristoff, and Anna show up to help too, and the things that Olaf counts are appropriate for the setting, like icicles and snow flakes. I especially liked that the things aren't necessarily lined up all nice and neat to be counted, like on the snow flake page you have to do a little bit of looking to make sure you counted them all, so it doubles as an easy hide-n-seek on the larger number pages. Riding on the popularity of Frozen, Olaf's 1 2 3 has some of the qualities of a good counting book. The items to count are on the same page or a facing page and there is a number on each page. However, the numbers are small and the written word for the number is not given. I suspect this book will be popular only as long as Frozen is popular, and it is too soon to tell how long that will be. I do not think I would get this book for my classroom.

This is just kind of an odd one, though we love Frozen. It just didn't flow well, and though your little ones likely won't notice the halting text, you definitely will. But still we read it anyway, because my little one loves Frozen!

This book was fun to read with my son. The only thing he likes about frozen is Olaf and the silly reindeer. This is one of the first books my son helped read. He counted all the number and repeated most of the words after me. Great book for a beginner counter/reader.

This book was fun to read! It teaches children how to count by incorporating their favorite Disney characters from the movie Frozen. The pages are colorful and full of glitter! My 1 year old loved it!

Not good. If you (or your kids) like Frozen, you're probably bound to read it. Otherwise, don't bother.

Cute book! My daughter enjoyed counting along with Olaf even though she's not a Frozen fan. But she is a huge Disney fan and loves to count so I decided to borrow it from the library. Glad I did.
