I think I've decided I like this author. Even though there are sexual relationships in her books, the couple of read have been tasteful and not disgustingly descriptive of that aspect. So this story is about Liza who has been a WAG (wife and girlfriend) of sports heroes for a few years. Some call her a serial WAG cause she's dated a couple of guys. She's done all the glamour stuff and put up with the intrusions in her life, with the exception of anyone getting too close to her disabled sister. T ...more

Nicola Marsh at her best. An emotionally compelling and totally convincing contemporary romance with two characters who the reader can believe in and want to share time with.

The core romance story line is a good read, but I had hesitations about the way disability is depicted - Liza's disabled sister Cindy is at one level the focus of her life, and at another level treated as decorative by the narrative. Cindy must be a teenager or a young adult, but she hardly gets to express her own opinions and doesn't get consulted on events that affect her, and is usually seen doing 'homey', feminine and/or childish things.

Kinda cute. I wasn't fond of WAG hints or how she treated Cindy's disability.

I usually love Nicola Marsh's books for the Harlequin Romance line, so I was excited to see how she'd do on the new Kiss imprint. I probably would have liked this book better if I hadn't read Rosalind James' books that deal with the WAG topic (Wife and Girlfriend).

I have to admit I've never heard of any celebrity other referred to that way...maybe its an Aussie thing. I actually found it drove me nuts in the book after awhile, especially since her WAG status was phony. I wanted more of her back

Her sister was disabled, but that didn't give the heroine the right to make every decision for her like she was an infant. I didn't appreciate her attitude, and I wasn't rooting for her to have a HEA.
