I received this book from goodreads first reads, Thank You. Chapter One is a short two chapter book, one is called Janey and two is called Morgan. Janey and Morgan are cousins who are very close. They both have drug problems. Janey lives with her grandmother while her father is in jail. Morgan lives alone and has been in love with a guy named Robbie since childhood. In the end of each chapter they leave you hanging really wanting to know what's going to happen to both Janey and Morgan. I really ...more

As I won this from a Goodreads contest, I figured I should review it. This is a very short collection with just two short stories, both based on intertwined friends with very difficult lives. While one of the girls struggles with a severe heroine addiction, the other is afraid to commit herself to her crush.

I won this short story collection through first-reads as part of the Good Reads Give-away. I enjoyed all 48 pages of the book, and would definitely ask that the author expands on what she has created. I have never read a book in such a format before so it was interesting and enjoyable. A longer, completed edition would allow for more character development and would help me as the reader to connect more with the characters.
Overall, a pleasing read. Thanks for the opportunity and I hope that you

Knowing how to write takes much more than ‘going to school’ for it – as many shitty writing degree graduates prove. But sharing that I have a B.A. in English and Writing encourages some folks to read my stuff, so there you go. I guess they assume I’ll know the difference between ‘your’ and ‘you’re,’ for example. And they’re right.

I write to release and to remember - and to make people see.
