Absolutely brilliant guide, and I concur with the other reviewers that this was a really fun read. I am truly amazed at the no. of things you can do for under 10 pounds - and many of them are so interesting! Fascinated to discover that they even have a centre that offers free mindfulness classes. I thought I'd already done very extensive research on London, but Timeout (as usual) still managed to surprise me. Some of the entries have already shut down and quite a few have changed addresses though, so do check carefully before you set off. I've marked out at least 20 I want to try (I controlled myself from listing more to avoid a jam-packed itinerary).

Quite good with a lot of great information and ideas although potentially dated with recent world events- I imagine most things can still be completed or attempted though.

This book could do with some organisation. The ideas themselves are great but all over the place and I spotted several repeated ideas too. If you are reading this now be warned that if its not a very recent version the ideas may be out of date too.

The ideas in the book are great and go beyond the normal tourist trail. I throughly enjoyed reading this and I'm looking forward to trying some of these out. Some of the highlights of the book for me were some of the longer entries on topics such as travelling London by bus. If I'm being pernickety though, there are some repetitions of recommended activities. This is caused by one or two of the celebrities recommendations being repeated somewhere else. However, I think it was only the case with a couple of entires. The main reason I only gave this 3 stars was the lack of map references. I know these days we can rely on mobiles for internet gps, but I did get lost trying to find a cocktail bar in the book. Don't be concerned though as I found another one just around the corner that was really cool. On second thoughts maybe no map and getting lost is part of fun...

This is a fabulous book with lots of cool tidbits that have even been known to pleasantly surprise even jaded Londoners. Some made you want to go out and do it. Others made you say, "Um, good to know, but no thanks." A fun read.

I found some good suggestions in here but overall the book was kinda lacking. It's hard to gauge prices (most of the time it's not given) so you have no idea if something is super expensive or really affordable. Glad I got this book with a deep discount when Borders tanked.

This has lots of things in London that I had no idea I could do. It's a good mix and I'm guessing the prices haven't gone up much since this recession-busting book was published in 2008. I now have a long list of cheap thrills to tick off and I can't wait to get started. Nice one Time Out!

This book is too vague. And some of the suggestions are lame. For example, the suggestion to go to a bead shop that has many colored beads.. I wish the book was more organized.
