GAHHH!!! Where to start, so Gabriel is now Death and Rhyn is now head of the counsel. Lizzy does a great job at updating us on where all the characters are now in their lives, I was especially happy to see the update on Rhyn and Katie (my fave couple from the series) "Dude, you have no f***king idea. I'd take a herd of demons over this shit. One day she's begging me to f***k her every five minutes. The next, it's my fault she gained twenty pounds. I told her to lay off the ice cream. Death is the most universal experience possible, true, but it's also the most personal. There's nothing else on the planet that forces you to really see and accept who you are as the day your doctor says you're dying. You have to make a choice that day: to continue living or to start mourning," she started angrily.
The stranger was silent, gaze riveted to her.
"Death lets you see the stars and the moon instead of how dark the night is. It teaches compassion, because sitting on the bus, I know th

This is 3.5 stars because though it did not make immediately interested it did catch me. The plot is interesting when you realize that what you are dealing with are immortals, and just any immortals but those who have been a part of our mythology for generations.

Gabriel has just been appointed as Death and he has no idea how to handle his elevated status. He has been a hired hand for countless years and now he is expected to take the reins and make sure that all souls are collected as they shou

Gabriel's Hope flowed so effortlessly on from Rhyn's Redemption it it was hard  not to be totally swept up into the fantastical world of Immortals, Demons, Deities & Bood Monkeys!

I must admit After devouring all the books in the Rhyn Trilogy multiple times, i went into it being sure there wasn't anything i didn't know or character I hadn't Totaly worked out but in true Lizzy Style she shook it all up until all I could do was sit back  & enjoy the Ride...

I'll admit it. I found Lizzy Ford on BN.com last year during a time of desperation for books having read everything I was interested in at the time, grabbed "Katie's Hellion" for nothing and was hooked. Since then I have read her entire Rhyn Trilogy, War of Gods series and a stand alone called Rebel Heart.

Wow. I want more.

This is a woman I admire - she can write good books FAST, and she publishes them herself allowing her fans the opportunity to satisfy their hunger for her characters and stori

I have read books by Lizzy Ford before and I can tell you that she is amazing! She knows how to capture her audience with each word that she writes and let me tell you Gabriel’s Hope is no different.

We start out with Deidre who is very sick with a tumor in the doctor’s office, where Dr. Wynn lets her know that she has always been more than just a patient to him but there is the matter of her boyfriend Logan, she lets Dr. Wynn know that she is headed down the coast and will be back after the wee

I loved Gabriel before when he was in the Rhyn Trilogy and I’m so happy Lizzy Ford gave him his own book! Gabriel is pretty bad ass in this book! He takes over for the former death who by the way left him with a huge mess to clean up. Demons are taking souls before they can get to them in the human world and he also finds out his predecessor raised an Immortal from the dead. An Immortal who no one was too fond of. If that’s not bad enough Rhyn is trying to hold together the Immortal Council. Whe ...more

So, You've got 3 months or less to live what you do? You make a bucket list right? Well that's just what Diedre did. On that list of things to do? Have sex that includes her being on top, her luck Death who happens to be named Gabriel is in the right place at the right time and she gets to cross off many things from her bucket list. Her bad luck? The next morning she has a tattoo with his name across her back and he thinks she is his ex past-Death and now he is morally obligated to protect her. ...more

Wonderful first installment to the spin off of the Rhyn Trilogy!!! I LOVED this book!!! Excited to FINALLY be able to learn more about Gabriel, whom I have been wanting to hear more about since I read the book Katie's Hellion. It was great to see him come into his own and be comfortable in his skin in this book. I really enjoyed meeting a different side (to what we have seen before...)of Deidre, she is so super in this book, courageous, humorous, loving!!!! I felt a personal connection to her, a ...more

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! A great spin off to Rhyn Trilogy! Gabriel's Hope the first installment to Rhyn Eternal Series was a real page turner...I loved this book! Gabriel now Death are putting all the pieces together left by his predecessor...and I meant he got a big mess. Lost souls he needs to collect, an immortal raised from the dead, a traitor among his assassins and on top of it all...Gabe was shut out of the underworld. DO NOT ENTER! This author's writing style was delightfully detailed and well planned. I cared about all of the main characters and never felt lost in this highly complex situation our heroine found herself thrown into suddenly. I'm definitely reading Lizzy Ford's other books!

I like the concept and all Gabriel had to do when death walk out on her job.

Poor Gabriel (who's now Death) was trying to clean up the mess she left behind.

This book was intriguing from the get go! The ending left such a big cliffhanger that i am dying to read the next one! There We’re a few spelling errors but even that did not ruin the enjoyment of this book for me. It’s almost like an immortal version of Romeo and Juliet!

*Sigh*

Gabriel’s Hope picked up right where the Rhyn Trilogy ended. Now as Death, Gabriel is struggling to put the underworld back together, and fix the disaster that past-Death left behind. But there is a lot of pressure he is under with trying to figure out how to put everything together on the outside of the underworld that he and his soul collector is now kicked out of but then Rhyn advise him to check out a dying woman (Deidre) in Atlanta. So he did. He was immediately attracted t

Let me start off by saying sqeeeek Lizzy Ford I love you!!! This book I just finish was perfect!!!! It flowed so well with the Rhyn Trilogy, I can not even explain it. So many times “spin off’s” are often hard to comprehend or follow at first but not this one. This was absolutely designed precisely to go with the Rhyn Trilogy perfectly!

I remember when I first seen this cover, the first thing that came to mind and out my mouth was I so desperately wanted to polish his "Scythe" with my (looks aro

Gabriel's Hope is the spin off of Rhyn's Trilogy. If you have not read the series, allow me to give you a recap of it. Rhyn is half-demon/half-immortal who is mated with Katie, a human. The odds are against them. When the Dark One (the Lord of Hell) has learned that Katie's blood can be used to build incredible armies and will help him rule both immortal and mortal realms, he has plotted many ways to have Katie and eliminate her mate. With this, Rhyn is in rage and his power is destroying everyt ...more

I don’t even know where to start. I guess first off, if you haven’t read the Rhyn Trilogy yet, then I would recommend reading it before diving into this awesome treat of a story.

Gabriel’s Hope picked up right where the Rhyn Trilogy ended. Now acting as Death, Gabriel is struggling to put the underworld back together, and fix the disaster that past-Death left behind.

As the synopsis tells you, this book is the continuation of the Rhynn Trilogy. I haven't actually read any of the Rhynn Trilogy although they are waiting for me on my kindle. This small but significant fact did NOT mean that I couldn't read and thoroughly enjoy this book. Yes, there are comments made about how Gabriel helped Rhynn and Katie but nothing that will either ruin their story when I read it or could be anything but back story for Gabriel.

So moving onto Gabriel's Hope itself - Deirdre i

I am so glad I joined this book club this year and am reading along with others weekly. Before you pick up this first book in the Rhyn Eternal trilogy, I really do suggest you read the Rhyn trilogy. It enhances these books and the cameo appearances by Rhyn and Katie, and gives a background to Gabriel's character, as well as Deidre's.

The Rhyn trilogy, if you do not get the omnibus or if the omnibus is no longer available, is comprised as follows: Katie's Hellion, Katie's Hope, Rhyn's Redemption.

Finally, a romance novel that focuses on character development and conflict instead of constant, graphic sex and easy solutions to problems. The main female protagonist, Deidre, has a very literal fatal flaw-- an inoperable brain tumor-- that even immortal deities like Death can't heal, remove, or otherwise cure. It is refreshing to break from the pattern of "I have this horrible problem smut suddenly I find my mate and I'm cured and suddenly super-powered!" that a lot of romance novels espouse. ...more
