After Chase and Jamie walk away from each other they both try to climb out from the depths of the ruins of their lives, and to build a meaningful relationship with someone else. Jamie with Ian, Chase with Tess. But the emptiness and longing for the real thing remain, and they know that their current relationships are only temporary.
“… that one kiss was more… I don’t know… more intimate, or meaningful than anything I’ve ever shared with another guy in my entire life. Like that one kiss was… a promise of everything he and I could have…“
Both Ian and Tess feel that they are only distractions and substitutes for their partners, and the inevitable break-ups happen almost at the same time.
It is great that both Chase and Jamie have the strength to see the pathetic aspects in their lives, and they are able to quit and built something valuable with someone else. Although they fail in the latter, their attempt and struggle to make it work are respectable.
The story ends with
The final scene is very sweet and romantic, I loved it.

Since the two main characters are fighting their feelings for one another, they spent this novella trying to get over each other by getting under someone else. Although I'm still not a fan of Chase's HEA being his ex's BFF (I'm also finding it hard to believe they fell head over heels in love after two brief encounters), I'm still anxious to see if they can make a believer out of me. However, detailing their tortured affairs with other people just seems like a ploy to drag out the story in an effort to increase the number of books in the series.
It appears that the stars may be aligning for the forbidden lovers, so we'll see how far the next book takes them and if the series is worth finishing.

OMG!!
Jasinda, I can´t put in words what you do to me with your books!!!
This was soooo hot, every view minutes I had to wipe away the steam that was coming from my e-reader (and maybe a little bit of me!) because I couldn´t see the words anymore!!
I couldn´t put it down and was shocked when I realised I got to the end.
Please, please, please don´t let us wait to long for the next book....

I thought this was a standalone and didn't realise that it was part of a series, hence it felt a bit disjointed for me.
I might come back and change the rating once I've read the complete series.

Can’t force a square peg into a round hole, no matter how committed you are to keep trying.
Full of feels for both Chase and Jamie, these two are nothing of not self-aware now, which is kind romantic at the same time a little heart breaking
My fingers are crossed for them...I suspect they’re gonna need it.

This book took hot to another level. You not only get a steamy scene from Jamie, you also get one from Chase. Jamie just can't do it anymore. She is broken and seeing Chase again has made it even worse. There is such a pull is heartbreaking to see them fight it for Anna's sake.
With Jamie Fleeing again she hits bottom and breaks down to Anna. Anna reacts better than you would think, but at this point its to late. Jamie has already left Chase and can't go back. She is running with no end in site. Chase is doing the same thing in his own way. The both are trying to replace the feeling they had with each other and its failing miserably. How unfair is it to love the only person you wont let yourself have,
Chase and Jamie are faced with a very hard decision and with stolen kisses and heart braking goodbyes in their present I can only hope their future is looking up.
I find this series more tortured then Annas. These characters are so broken and need to be fiixed. You really get to know them better as well as the supporting characters in their hopeless story. I think they are going to be perfect for each other and I can't wait to see it happen. Another epic ending in the Rockstar Series. Till next time :D

I really would like to love this spin-off but i don't even know why i just can't though the story was really okay, i just don't think i like the idea of Jamie and Chase always ending up having sex with some random girl/guy. I was okay as i start reading but then i've read about Ian and i was like Oh..oh.. here comes Jaime again and then Chase and some hot chick he met at the gym?? not again... Whew.. and then suddenly they bumped into each other, and right now i was hoping or maybe wishing that the last part of this one would not end up the way i expect it to end up, i wish for more story not just too much sex story.. I'm sorry it's just that Jamie/Chase story doesnt appeal much too me. It's lacking for me i guess.

I think I need to not expect a believable plot from this series. And that's not a bad thing by any means; sometimes the PWP (plot what plot?) method works best. Because sex sells and this book sells sex. Very well, I might add.
That being said, I wish that this and the last book had been combined. I understand that Wilder was trying to make a point by pairing both our main characters off with other people to show us that they really did try to get on without one another. But it just draws more attention to the fact that these two know next to nothing about each other and their main connection is the best friend/ex-lover. Awkward.
Overall, the sex was good like always, but the story itself was almost too much. I was a little worried as to where this was leading when I was finished.

I could have done with the first few pages and the last few pages. I do not need the sex scenes with all the other women/men it just doesn't sit right with me. I can't even get into it.
Onto the last Rockstar book, I'm thinking, keffing praying, that there are no other sex scenes with other people other than Chase and Jamie together. Otherwise it'll just be shit to me.

Jasinda made another HOT HOT HOT read. Some much love going around. :) If you are looking into reading her work for the first time you NEED to read 'Big Girls Do It Better' first. You have to grow with this Rock Star. I wonder what he'll or who he'll do next? :D

I liked how this showed Chase and Jamie giving themselves a chance to find happiness in other people because they can’t be together.
This installment started to show Chase’s fetish, for lack of a better word. At this point the sex becomes repetitive and this short becomes less about their emotional journey until near the end.
I understand Anna’s hurt at Chase and Jamie wanting to be together and I totally get Jamie’s reluctance to take that final step, but at some point, a girl has to put her happiness first.

This book is more about the chase, than the Chase. Felt like a typical novella where it was just sort of the part of the novel that would have been a slow middle as the characters work their way towards one another, but instead it's just a slow stand alone.

Done ! Buku 2 nya aku makin bingung ,sampe saat ini gak liat chemistry keduanya...malah mereka sibuk colok2 sama orang lain...katanya jatuh cinta, tapi gak ada hal2 yg mengindikasikan kesana selain 2 kali ciuman, yg juga "biasa2 saja"....

Wow is all I can think about this 2nd book in this Rock Stars do it series. Chase is still a Rock Sex God to me & now after this I'm totally convinced of this. Lucky Tesse for the time she got to spend with him. As for Jamie, did she really think for one second that Ian could rub Chase from her mind. Nope didn't think so, I know I wouldn't forget him. Yep Chase, wild & awesome, that's how I like them, I'm hooked.
Now for the 3rd book, hopefully Chase & Jamie get together. Anna did give her the green light & said that even though it might be awkward she would work at it for her BFF, that's what friends do. Anna could see how deep Jamie's feelings for Chase were. It now seem that they are going to explore what it is between them. They both tried to do the move on with other people & gave it a decent amount of time, but obviously the feelings they have are too deep even for them to ignore.
Wow, now I'm envious of Jamie, oh god what a lucky girl. Bring on Book 3.

Second in this series, and both Chase and Jamie and trying to adjust to life not wanting the person you spend every waking moment thinking about and then dreaming about every night.
Jamie can't do that to Anna, BFF's ex, it's a no go, but despite her best efforts she is as miserable as Chase trying to stay away and ignore the passion and love she feels and after a bruising second encounter and yet another breathtaking kiss she needs to stay away from him and him from her to do the right thing....thing is, who is it right for...
Again the writing is excellent, the story filled with passion and need and watching Chase and Jamie fight their feeling for the sake of Anna is heartbreaking. Couldn't put this down. I need the 3rd book!

I wish this book would have bad more scenes with Jamie and Chase together. I was very disappointed in Jamie after she told Anna everything, after telling her she would deal with having to see Chase because Jamie means more to her than losing her over an ex Jamie should have went after Chase. She yelled at Anna for not womaning up but she didn't woman up in this book...at least not until the end, and that was forced by fate pushing them together.
Overall I liked the book, but it lacked something for me and I'm not sure what...maybe if it had been a bit longer but even the steamy scenes didn't hold my attention in this one.

I really liked this second novella in this spin-off series. Chase & Jamie are trying to get over each other by being under anyone, but each other. The impossible love is proving too hard to deny and the damage it could cause, especially when that damage could hurt her relationship with her BFF, Anna. I know some reviewers do not like that Chase is Anna's ex, but ex is a loose term versus I would say he is a past "hook up". Sometimes that Happily Ever After is found when you least expect it especially when it is wrapped in that sweet package...pun intended.

Ahhh... serendipity. When you are just meant to be together, it will happen despite you trying your best to avoid it. 4 Freakin Stars!
Even though Chase and Jamie tried to stay away from each other, their souls still yearns for each other even when they were with other people...causing their partners to mutually leave the relationship. However, the book ends with Chase and Jamie meeting each other coincidentally after their breakups and agreeing to give their relationship a try. YAY!! On to the next book!

Jamie and Chase spent most of the book denying their feelings out of respect for Anna. though Jamie told her the truth she just couldn't give in feeling like its a betrayal. They started relationships trying to get over the other but they and the people involved knew there was something missing. Fate has a way in bringing them together. I hope this time they finally find the happiness they both deserve.

Another amazing instalment! The torment continues, Chase and Jamie try to bury their feelings for each other but something is always missing, will they give in to each other or stay away from each other?
I loved this story, a few cringe worthy moments for Jamie but the other encounters are as hot as you expect from this series. Chase continues to delight.

Devoured this read! I was anxious for Chase & Jamie to get together & wanted to get to that I guess. There's all sorts of angst filled, sexual medicating that just doesn't cure what's ailing the 2 of them. Maybe they've finally figured it out, maybe they haven't..... I guess I'm just left anxiously waiting, but satisfied for now:-)

I've been waiting for this follow up book and was not disappointed at all! Jasinda Wilder knows how to pick up where she left off, and leaves me wanting to read more and more. I could feel every emotion, the heat, the passion, the sadness and even the indifference. If there were any complaints, it would be that the novella was too short. Another great read and I can't wait for more!

Not my favorite in the series, but only because I didn't like what the characters did before finally connecting with each other. Plus, falling in love after meeting a handfull of times and two kisses? Really? Really. 3.5 for story, 4.5 for writing, split the difference at 4. :-) On to Rock Stars Do It Forever!

If you liked the beginning of Jamie and Chase's journey than you will love this continuation. In this you journey through either their lives together or their lives apart. Every step will leave you wanting more for them. Jasinda has a way with her words to leave you hot and bothered after a steamy Chase scene. This is an amazing story that everyone should read.
