My Thoughts: As far as I'm aware, this is the final book; I believe this is a trilogy. And it is a most satisfying ending. This is a very fast-paced book, and we're presented with the answers to a number of questions, and a number of secrets are exposed.

Written for teens, this is an intense fantasy world, colored brightly with scenes that feel real, dialogue that is believable.
Book 3 of the Angelaeon Circle finds Trevin and Melaia separated from each other, each fighting for their lives and the final harp needed to restore the stairway to heaven and free the angels trapped in a human world.

What a terrific ending to the series!! I wasn't quite sure how it would end until the end so that was good. I would've been satisfied which ever way it went. I will say again, anyone who likes fantasy will like this series. Although it is a spiritual sort of story, sort of, it is not "Christian." I had to get book 3 through an interlibrary loan, but it was worth that little effort and a not too long wait. Yay for my library! A clean read!

First, I would like to say thank you to the author and to Goodreads for my copy of "Throat of the Night" which I received through Goodreads First-Reads giveaways.
This was an extraordinary novel that I absolutely loved. Not only that, but it was also a wonderful conclusion to the Angelaeon Circle series by Karyn Henley. I genuinely loved the Angelaeon Circle series by Karyn Henley and I thought she did a wonderful job of wrapping up the series with Throat of the Night.
I’ve always enjoyed the presence of angels in these books – the mythology and lore is so interesting in the Angelaeon Circle and Karyn Henley does a great job of presenting it to us without it being preachy in any manner. And also, it’s really original – I love, love th ...more

If you are looking for a fantastic YA Fantasy series filled with magic and mystery, look no further.
The third book of the Angelaeon Circle is an action-packed, non-stop adventure that sees the amazing characters of this series face their biggest triumphs, but also suffer their greatest losses.

I loved the first two in this series and loved when I found out the third book was coming out. I couldn't help but dive in and remember what had taken place so far. Melaia just needs the third harp in order to restore the stairway to heaven so that the angels may finally go home. The only problem is that an immortal being stands in her path, wanting to destroy any work she has done to bring the staircase back into existance.

Told in alternating point of views, Throat of Night by Karyn Henley is the perfect conclusion to the epic Angelaeon Circle trilogy.
Throat of Night was not as fast paced as its predecessors in the trilogy to start off with, but by half way through the book, the stakes are high and I was completely hooked.
The characters remain one of my favorite things about this trilogy. I was happy that Melaia toughens up a bit in this book. I really enjoy the character of Trevin the most - he is such a fun cha ...more

Hey guys. I won a copy of this book after entering a goodreads giveaway and just completed it last night. It's amazing!! Totally unlike anything I have ever read before but that's the joy of branching out your reading :-)
It was beautiful and poignant. I loved all the themes and motifs within the book and the angelic theme. Karyn also personally signed it with "the best of angels" which I thought was absolutely beautiful.

This three novel story winds to a resonant, brilliant melody, rich to the final word. I'll admit, I wasn't in love with the first book, but I did still like it enough to continue. And I'm glad I did, because the series gets progressively better with each book, all the events and characters blending in sustenance of each other, spinning magic in a wonderfully crafted and enchanting narrative. I loved this fantasy. This is definitely my cup of tea.

Review: While the story kept in line with the rest of the series with many unexpected twists and turns, I didn’t feel like the ending was nearly as dramatic as the other two. Each book had a dire, inescapable circumstance near the end or at the end. The fight and restoration of the Tree didn’t seem as dramatic as the reviving of the King or the earthquake at Qanreef. Other than the ending not living up to expectations, the rest of ...more

Throat of the Night nicely finishes off the trilogy by Karyn Henley.
Melia and Trevin are on a mission to find the last harp, during this time they also explore their feelings for each other.
This is a great read, and will keep readers that enjoy many different genres interested and wanting to read the other two books in the trilogy.
I was one of the fortunate few to receive a complimentary copy from GoodReads FirstReads and the Author.

I've been waiting for this book to come out for ages. I'm not sure if it's publishing mishaps or whatnot, but the whole thing felt rather slapdash. I'm happy it's concluded and I've had closure, and I still think the characters are great, but mostly I'm just relieved that I can finally call this series finished.

I write young adult fiction about embracing uncertainty and discovering who you are. To me, life is story and story is life, and figuring out each is a process of exploring paths and seeing where they lead. In my novels, I explore losing what you thought was your path but finding another way, questioning taken-for-granted beliefs, and holding on when you think you can't. I love nature, travel, and
