This is another adventure, Geronimo has and it all began like this. He needed a new worker because of a shortage of a worker. He had a meeting to go and he was in a rush. His best assistant was reading the new worker's profile information : name of the person, where that person was from, what that person was good at, etc. Geronimo was so busy he didn't even know the gender and age and he told his assistant to bring this new worker because that person is working for him now. When the person got t ...more

Um. It's an interesting concept for a book. It's very colorful inside and different words at times have different font which makes it kind of fun.

Except in this book Geronimo, this mouse who a publisher, hires another mouse, whom he doesn't like at first. She is not an honest mouse and got an interview with this famous performer...but told him lies to get it. And Geronimo knows that she has told him lies but still keeps her as his assistant because he's afraid the other competitors will get her

This is a fun series with cooky fonts in the text that the kids seem to love. It is a fun adventure. For our new reader, we were a little concerned with the number of "made up" words that fit within the mouse world but he keeps choosing this series over and over. He reads all sorts of other books too, so I sort of consider it the romance novel of childrens chapter books.

The theme of this book is to not be so uptight and dramatic about things, and to also pay attention to what you are doing to make sure you get them right. The setting of the book is a lot of places but the main setting is at The Rodents Gazette which is where they write all of the news papers. The person who tells the story is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton. The leading character is of-course Geronimo Stilton, but the other main characters are Thea ( Geronimo’s sister), Picky Pink, and Benjamin. The ...more

This book, just like the other Geronimo Stilton book that I read were very easy to read and I flew through it as well. These books would be an important aspect of my classroom library because they include good information without overtaking the plot. I just think the simple plot line is easy for young readers to understand and the format makes the book interesting. The chapters arent too long and the story keeps readers engaged. This particular story is how Geronimo Stilton got his clever secret ...more

This was a good book and I liked it a lot, I think that the author did a great job writing it. In the book there was fancy colors and designs on the words ( like fonts ), and it made the book very nice and unique. I think that Geronimo having to work with a teenager who is completely opposite of him is not very easy, and that when she throws party’s she buys such expensive stuff and she pays for it with Geronimo’s credit card. the most thing that I don’t like about this book is that Pinky pick a ...more

It was good book. The reason I read this book is because I felt that t as time for my brain to relax a little bit. This book is really funny. It's simply about a mouse that runs the newspaper and goes on so many adventures. If you're looking for a book to relax your mind, I recommend this one. What I also really like about this book is that this book has moments that happen in the story where one can relate to whether its good or bad. It's also really fun to read. I found myself laughing and hav ...more
Geronimo Stilton is a mild-mannered mouse who edits the best newspaper on Mouse Island. Swamped by his responsibilities, he hires an assistant sight unseen and is appalled to discover Pinky Pick is a loud, obnoxious spendthrift whose zeal in pursuit of a story is matched only by her ability to drive Geronimo insane. Unwilling to let her defect to the other local paper, he puts up with slander, ruinous birthday parties, and trips to the Arctic. The plentiful illustrations, eye-popping typography, ...more

2nd and 3rd graders are finishing reading this Geronimo Stilton aloud this week, and since we started reading them as a class, I can't keep the Geronimo books in the library! Luckily, we have several new books in the series that are about to be put on the shelves very soon! The kids love the humor, the illustrations, and can really relate to the characters. Geronimo and Thea Stilton books are both great choices for kids who are ready to begin chapter books.

In this book Geronimo hires an assistant and his security mousella tells him that he should see her before her before he hires her, but he's to busy. Geronimo doesn't pay attention and he gives her 3 months pay to a 14 year old and she throws him a wild expensive party with lots of things that he didn't like and he had to pay for all of it including a 20 white cheese cake! Then they spend New Years in Antartica and there is rock music and he usually hates it but he loves it. J.A.G.

I get it. It's funny and brightly colored and adventurous and crazy. Geronimo Stilton is the curmudgeon that gets beaten into shape by the cool kids. Good stuff and I believe an easy recommend, although kids could use a dose of mouse, cheese and American city knowledge to not be confused by the moused up words.

This what a cute book, but it didn't hold my 6 year olds interest as well as other books I have read him. I think it would be great for a child a little older who can read on their own. The different fonts and word art used is interesting and engaging for the reader. The story moves quickly and the chapters are short.

This Stilton maintains the fun style of the series but lacks in plot. Whereas other books in the series have a set adventure, this book was a bit sporadic and all over the place in plot. Geronimo's rude awakening and adjustment to his child age assistant, Pinky, does lead to laughs but not enough for me to love the book.

This book is about a mouse named Geronimo Stilton who hires a 14 year old mouse as a new asistant. Her name is Pinky Pick. She was a very stylish mouse with big pink shoes. She was great at times for Geronimo but some times she was very highmaintainance. At the end of the book Pinky and Thea threw a huge party fo Geronimo at the North Pole. Geronimo loved it! THE END....
Chiara Tomlinson!

Have you met my assistant editor, Pinky Pick? She is only fourteen years old, but she is one of the cleverest mice Iknow. If you've ever wondered how pinky came to work for me at The Rodent's Gazette, this is the book for you. It's a looooong story...and one that's full of adventure, laughs, and, of course, lots of embarrassing moments for yours truly, Geronimo Stilton!...

I liked it, but it was really easy. The main reason I read it was that I wanted a fun and easy book to read, and by November 1 I have to read 333,333 words, and this book would count for that. I wouldn't recommend this book for girls my age to read, unless it's for the same reason(s) that I read it for.

When I was about 9 I loved Geronimo Stilton Books and I wanted to read them again this summer. This book was a fun entertainer and it brought back many memories of reading when I was younger.

The Language and Plot of this book was simple and the characters aren't very deep, but overall it was a nice and light read.
it's quite refreshing to read a children book once in awhile.
story is based in an imaginative world and it triggers creative thinking.
there are many different fonts in this book, depicting the different emotion, object or situation the narrator is in.

Avevo otto-nove anni quando lessi questo libro, e non ricordo molto bene la trama, anche se sono sicura che mi piacque molto.
Un libro per bambini che amano leggere e divertirsi attraverso le avventure di questo strambo personaggio.
