Bethany....... Bethany....... I just LOVED Rich and Roni's story. Man when I first started this series I was like OMG they need to get together because of the tension they had between each other but as I read their story I realized that Rich needed to mature some and Roni needed to face her past and learn to open up.

Roni is broken and she comes from a broken home. She only ever had Kent her twin brother to lean on and when he left things went down hill for her. Roni gave up dancing and school s

“Don’t tell me what I deserve… Maybe you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

The third novella is perhaps the most intense and emotionally charged of them all in the Trilogy. This is the story of Kent’s twin sister, Roni, and Colin’s best friend, Rich.

The story itself starts with a domestic abuse scene from Roni’s past that is equally shocking as it is heartbreaking. We watch this young woman being beaten by her ex-husband for wanting to leave their marriage, his violence not only da

I don't always post reviews for books that I beta read, but I really loved this book. I've read all the books in this trilogy, but Rich and Roni were my favorite by far. Their story was really deep and sexy, but also had some light moments too. I loved it.

I've liked Rich from the start of this series. He was funny, flirty, and I honestly didn't take him very seriously. However, in I Choose You, I started to see a change in Rich. He's moved home for good to start up a community rec center. His m

Oh man, I cannot say enough great things about this book. Bethany you have done it again. I loved the first two books in the Friends and Lovers Trilogy, and could not wait to get my hands on this book.

Rich, oh sweet Rich, he is my new book boyfriend. He comes across as kind of a man whore with an ego to match. But with his good looks its total justified, right? This is just not who he really is. He is so sweet in this book, his love for his family, friends and the Rec Center are so heart warmin

Rich is back in his hometown after graduating college, and between his trysts with girls is working on opening a rec center. Roni has recently come to town to meet her twin brother Kent, after escaping an abusive marriage, and just wants a fresh start. Roni understandably is trying to steer clear of all men, but Rich's charms eventually begin to work on her. Can she open herself up for the possibility of love again?

The final installment in the Friends and Lovers trilogy, I liked this one the bes

Oh this is the 3rd from this series and sadly I read this first than the last 2. Sorry Bethany I was just so hooked to Rich And Roni story. I loved their characters and definitely looking forward to read about their ending real soon.

Great work Bethany!!

Reading one of Bethany Lopez's novels from the Friends & Lovers series is like revisiting old friends. I love this series, as I seem to immerse myself into the small neighborhood in Texas that is the setting and settle down for drinks and good conversation about the goings on with loved ones who just happen to be the characters in this series. As of this moment, Trust in Me is my favorite book from Bethany Lopez, and I hope to read book # 2 in the series, I Choose You, very soon.

(I was able to give this book a review because I would given an ARC not because I just picked anything)

First let me just say that I do not easily give a book even 4 stars, so while for some (and I hope not Bethany Lopez) may think 3 stars is a poor rating it is actually pretty good to me and I definitely think that this entire series should be read...I read all three books in a day and a half when Lopez gave me the honor of reading an ARC of the third and final book in the series...onto my thoug

Roni, the main character, and her twin brother, Kent, were brought up in a disfunctional family. They had an alcoholic father that was physically abusive their whole lives, and a passive-aggressive cruel mother, who didn't know how to stand up for herself, or her children. Kent protected Roni at all costs from a very young age, and took the beatings of their deranged father for the both of them. When it was time for Kent to leave home for college, his sister Roni marries her high school sweethea ...more

By the time I got to Trust in Me, I couldn't wait to see what happens with Roni and Rich. Roni has been such a support system for her girlfriends in the other stories and readers are well aware of her simmering attraction to playboy Rich.

I have to applaud Bethany Lopez for putting the romance back in romantic New Adult for me. As much as I like reading the stories in this field, I've grown tired of some of the formulaic story lines and abusive relationships. I don't care what kind of upbringing

Rich and Roni 3.5-4 stars!

Rich is a total playboy he loves women and women love him. He doesn’t do relationships or really date he just sleeps with them and makes sure they are aware he isn’t into a relationship. He treats them well and with respect but does not want them to think he’s interested in anything more. He’s had his heart broken and doesn’t plan on having it done again.

This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.>

The prologue flashes back in time and confirms what we all thought happened with Roni.. Hank abused her. Thank God Kent finally came to rescue her from hell.

I will start by saying that I have not read the first two books in this series. I was approached by the author to see if I was interested in reviewing this book, and I honestly didn't even think to ask if I needed to read the first two books before reading this one. That said, you will be happy to know that you do not have to read them in order. It is entirely possible that you learn some information about the characters in the previous books in this one, but I think that it won't be enough to r ...more

This is the third book in Bethany Lopez’s Friends & Lovers series, and although I enjoyed Make it Last and I Choose you, I think that Trust in Me was my favorite.

The stories in each series are more or less the same, but I think what really drew me in the most for Trust in Me is that because it’s the last book, I have kinda gotten to know Rich and Roni a little bit more, so I guess I have more invested in them because of that little bit extra.

It was quite obvious from the start that Roni wa

So after reading the first two I had a feeling that Rich's story was going to be my fave ... and it was. I loved Rich throughout the series and was happy that he found his HEA with Roni.

Roni the girl who was broken from her past and wanted a HEA but didn't think she deserved it. Silly girl even after berating Kent for believing the same thing.

In the last two books I thought that they grew way too fast but this one felt like it had a nice pace and yo

I feel like I waited forever for Roni and Rich to get their own book. (In actuality it was two books about about three hours, but who's counting?!) Separately, they were two of my favorite characters throughout the first two novels in Bethany Lopez's Friends & Lovers series. Together, their chemistry was combustible. I knew it was only a matter of time before they collided and I couldn't wait for it. This was, hands down, my favorite book in

It is no secret I am a HUGE Bethany Lopez fan! Here is a review of Nissa and though I haven’t reviewed her other books, I have read and loved them! So, I JUMPED at the chance to review this series. I stared reading the first book and, duh! I’d already read Make It Last. I searched the blog and hadn’t done a review. So I skipped to I Choose You. Roni gets married right out of high school so that she doesn't have to live with her abusive father. She didn't know that the abuse would follow her after the move. After 3 years, she calls her twin brother Kent to come and get her, finally admitting the truth to him about the abuse.

She stays with Kent until she is able to find her own place. In the mean time she meets Rich. A player whom she wants nothing to do with.

This story was a slow and steady one that eased me into getting to know the characters well and truly before it became hot and heavy.

Roni has finally broken free from her dark past and is on her way to finally fulfilling her dream to teach dance.

Rich is a charming, lovable guy who has the ability to make any girl swoon. Rich has returned home after graduating college to create his dream...a recreation centre for the kids.

The dynamics between Rich and Roni are rocky at the best of times, but the

I loved this third story in the Friends and Lovers trilogy (can be read as a standalone, though characters have been previously introduced in the series). Roni is recovering from an abusive homelife and marriage and sees Rich for the playboy type that he is. But Rich has a more serious side to him, and now that he has the chance to be with Roni, he's willing to do what it takes to show her that he's worthy of her time and attention. Though their relationship starts out backwards with a one night ...more

From the beginning of the series, I wanted Rich's story. He's always been sweet, funny, and suuuuper sexy. I'm really glad that he finally got his own book, and I'm happy that Roni is his match.

Like her brother Kent, Roni was a troubled character. Not troubled in the present sense exactly, but more because of what she'd gone through. She was a girl who'd never had a great shot at the life she wanted, but was working hard to make it happen now. She doesn't want a guy like Rich, who's known as a

I enjoyed Briana and Colin’s story, I really liked Nicole and Kent’s story, but I loved Rich and Roni’s story! I just felt like there was so much more to this installment. Also we all know how much I love broken characters and our poor Roni is very broken.

Rich has been my favorite since I met him in book one. I just find him hysterical but incredibly sweet at the same time. I loved watching him find someone who he could fall in love with. Then we
Things haven't been good or nice in Roni's life with the exception of her twin, Kent. Roni has a lot of things that she needs to overcome in her personal life. Rich is a guy who is a ladies man, but not when he's involved with someone, and he has wanted Roni since he first saw her. Rich just hasn't figured out how to get to Roni, since Kent warned him off. There's also the fact that Roni is now becoming more and more attracted to Rich. With the help of Rich, whom she initially despises, she's ab ...more

This book was a pretty quick read for me and I really enjoyed it. Roni is a really sweet character that has some pretty painful issues in her past that she's working to overcome. Rich is the town playboy who also has a painful issue in his past that he's maybe not so actively working to overcome, but that has definitely lent itself to why he has the reputation of being a playboy. Roni finding Rich physically attractive, but initially that's about all based on his playboy status. Soon, Rich start ...more

This was a cute book. It dealt with some heavy issues, yet, Bethany portrayed these issues in a manner in which it didn't make the book heavy. She did an excellent job with the storyline. Even though you know what's going to happen in the end, she put a fresh spin on the circumstances throughout the book.

I really enjoyed getting to know Roni and Rich. I liked their pasts and how they molded them for the present. Roni was handed a rotten deal in life before and Rich was a playboy. I liked watchin

Roni's story is very touching and as much as I loved this story, there were times where I wished I could punch the heck out of her ex-husband. No one deserves to go through what she did and I felt so happy the more I got into the story. I really believe moving out of the hell she was living in and moving to Texas with her brother, was the best choice she ever did. Best out of the three!! I LOVED Trust In Me. It's my favorite out of all three. I felt more emotionally attached to the well-being of Rich & Roni. Her past broke my heart but then you hear about Rich's past, and you tear up again.

I absolutely love that all of the main characters play a continuous role in the series. They don't just disappear after their book is over. Seeing them moving on is great!
