Niiiiiice and so sweeeeet!!!
Ok, is it really OK to call a book about zombies nice and sweet??!! :D

You know what? I don't care! Because I totally liked Xavier and Clint :)
And I really, really wish it was longer... (Like Ira and James' story)
I just hope that Clint took good care of Xavier and fed him up a bit...
And Xavier was successful with his sculpture/manifesto thing...

Clint's lovemaking to Xavier was one of the sweetest, most awkward and endearing first-time sex scenes I've ever read.
So demented, fucked up with a flair of absurd that I have to love it.

I could imagine this as a play, the theatrical element is strong. Zombie heads, clandestine love affair, and anti-government forces all thrown together--love it. Love Xavier's quirky and certainly uncharacteristically sexy body and Clint's fascination. Quality entertainment.
Xavier is an artist provocateur planning to use zombie heads in his art, he entangles Clint - a student surgeon - into helping him. I wish for a little more zombie time, in fact, I wished for a little more everything and that's why I didn't give a higher rating, I thought it was way to short and not developed enough. I really liked what was there, I was just wishing it was a longer story. Love the universe and can't wait to read something else going on in it. ...more
A morbid but funny story. I adored Xavier, what person gets the idea to make a sculpture out of zombie heads? I have't read any of the other Gentlemen's Tales but found this quite entertaining so maybe I will. ...more

4.5 Kisses!!

Off with their Heads! is the second book I’ve read by the writing team of KA Merikan and I have to say, I’ve really loved everything I’ve read from them so far. Their stories are very fast-paced, interesting and an all-around fun and sexy read! The blurb does an outstanding job at describing the story, so I won’t rehash it. Instead, I thought I’d talk about what I liked about this book and why I’d recommend it.

I loved the strong chemistry betwee

This story was less about zombies than I expected and more about Clint’s opportunity to find a relationship and explore his sexuality. This is setting in an interesting world where zombies roam attacking people, but the cities, in this case London have built walls to keep them out. A budding medical student, Clint works in the morgue, part of his job requires the cutting off of zombie heads. One night he comes across a man he presumes is the p

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Clint and Xavier were both interesting characters. I especially enjoyed the innocent way that Clint saw Xavier and was so fascinated by him. I was confused by how abruptly it ended. Was it just supposed to be like that or am I missing something. Were these characters mentioned in another book? That would explain not having to see what happens next. I remember Deverell, but not Clint and Xavier. Anyway, this was a quick erotic tale with Clint’s first time ...more

3.5 hearts

Absurd. Entertaining. Just plain fun.

I loved the intro. Clint walks in on Xavier choppin' off zombie heads in the morgue. That's basically the definition of meet-cute. Am I right?

Xavier is an awesome character. I liked that he wasn't on anybody's side but his own. He knew what he believed in and he totally went for it. Really, totally went for it. You've got to have conviction if you're willing to walk around with a bag full of zombie heads!

It's obvious almost right away that Xavier is

The premise of someone cutting off Zombie heads to make "art - a living sculpture " appealed to me on a level that I don't really want to examine, so I won't!
Clint first meets Xavier in a morgue, trying to chop off Zombie heads - Yes, you read that correctly. Now our young Clint is a trusting and helpful sort of guy - which is proved when he believes the cock and bull story of why Xavier is there severing heads and then ends up helping him! but then again, it could be the fact that Clint has tak
