You can have a godly influence in your family, on the job, at church, in your community and beyond. This book discusses the qualities that God values and shows how you can develop those qualities to become a woman of influence - a woman whose life makes a difference.
Pam Farrel and her husband, Bill, are the authors of Men Are Like Waffles—Women Are Like Spaghetti (more than 300,000 copies sold) and Red-Hot Monogamy. In addition, Pam has written 52 Ways to Wow Your Husband and The 10 Best Decisions a Woman Can Make. They are cofounders and codirectors of Love-Wise, an organization to help people connect love and wisdom and bring practical insights to their personal relationships.
I enjoy this book. I wouldn't say it's life changing or amazing or wonderful - but it's enjoyable. It's inspiring but not in a big, go change the world way - in a small, you're doing good way. I've read the book more than once and some of my favorite quotes from any Christian 'self-help' books are in this one. And perhaps reading it at another time left me with a stronger impression - this time, though, it was nicely placed as a good solidifier.
Had really excellent points and certain chapters I loved and gained a lot of knowledge from. However, I didn't always enjoy that the majority of the chapters are short personal stories and anecdotes to convey a specific point. I would recommend this book, just didn't really love the style of writing. If it was possible I would give this a 3.75 stars.
I read the first edition of this book... and have re-read it countless time since! I've used it over and over for discipleship and training up leaders in our women's ministry. Inspiring book! My first "Farrel" title and have read most of their books since. Thankful for Pam's ministry of words! "One Heart impassioned by God CAN make a difference!" - from Woman of Influence. Read it! You'll love it!
Excellent book I want to give to every woman I know! I almost gave my copy to my sister, then realized I couldn't part with my copy, so I bought another one for her. Great book to read alone or in a group!
