Parties, sororities and getting drunk.

Oh, yeah. And learning.

This may be true for most college students, but not for Leah Bennett. College life for her includes studying, working, and excelling in school. When it comes to the social ladder, Leah is at the bottom. Popular girls, hot guys and star athletes are of no importance to

Since I am the author of this book, I'm being slightly biased; however, I do believe Waiting on Forever is a wonderful love story. I connected with Leah and Matt more so than any of my previous characters. Leah's wit cracked me up and Matt's huge heart had me sighing more than a few times. I am very in love with this story and I hope you all enjoy it, too.

The A-ha!! moment comes on the very last page when the author reveals that she "didn't read at all" until she (like everyone else and their dog) discovered Fifty Shades of Grey. She writes: "I read the whole series in three days. Yes, three books in three days." as if it was some Olympic record.

Gurl, on Goodreads that would be considered a reading slump.

Anyway, the best way to describe this novel is that it READS like it was written by someone who didn't read at all until she read 50SoG. It's a

Waiting on Forever is a college romance about Leah and Matt. The story is told in Leah’s POV, except for the prologue and epilogue, which are told from Matt’s perspective (and are awesome btw). This has the nerdy girl meets big man on campus kind of theme to it and I think it was executed really well in this book.

Matt and Leah first meet at freshman orientation before school starts. They chat, but Leah is very much into academics and thinks Matt is just another meathead jock with nothi

Review—Waiting on Forever by Ashley Wilcox

“’Wait, you’re part of orientation?’ I ask the nerdy girl that has been taking picture after picture…”

Matthew Jacobs is a jock who meets photography major Leah Bennett for the first time at college orientation. He’s cute and she’s trying not to be interested, after all, boys like Matt go for girls who have more air than brains in their heads, not girls like Leah. Except Matt sees different; he sees a beautiful girl who doesn’t take ish from anyone, a gir

Is it possible for two seemingly opposites to have a relationship with each other?

This book took me back in time to my college years: arriving naïve and innocent, learning about relationships, and experiencing a lot of “first times.” It’s especially during those years, when we can easily find ourselves labeling a person just by initial impressions. However, this story makes the reader look beyond the surface to see what’s beyond one’s physical appearance.

This is a quick, cute, predictabe read with an HEA.

Quite a few squirmy, eye-roll inducing parts but that's almost to be expected with this type of book.

The writing, for the most part is pretty good, although it does get pretty juvenile at times..and then completley gross and TMI to the point of being unsexy and weird at others.

I did really like how the text messages between Matt & Leah show up as graphics in the story! I thought that was pretty cool. And new.

I also really liked how the st

Thank you Ashley for writing one of my absolute favorite books! I love everything about this book. Matt is a popular football star in college and he meets Leah, they hit it off immediately, however since Matt is HOT, Popular, all around hunk of love! Leah keeps her growing feelings to herself, she thinks she is not worthy of Matt! She thinks he is everything she is not.

Things change when Matt needs help in their french class, Leah starts tutoring him, they spend more and more time together! Feel
There's a difference between being sassy or being just plain rude. Heroine was the latter. Would have rated higher if the h was nicer, wasn't as annoying, and you know... was likeable.

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I have to say that I found this book really refreshing. It was great to read about a Hero that was not your typical messed up man whore. Matt was a down to earth guy who was looking for a real relationship. He was not out to sleep with every bimbo in a 2 mile radius. And Leah was just amazing. She was smart and strong and funny. She didn't let things get her down.
The story was really sweet. Not a lot of drama or angst. Just a

So I didn't read the first book in the series but that's irrelevant....
The only thing that matters is where to find me a Matt? Is this a White Plains thing (do they breed them out there?) because I'll make the train ride!
If not that, then SUNY Cortlandt, you better accept my transfer credits!!!

Matt was so sweet...not an idiot moment at all for this boy! Which is the opposite of like every book you find out there nowadays (boy has a-hole, controlling tendencies and then grovels in a grossly publi

Waiting on Forever truly makes you feel that you are on
cloud 9 that only a good book can bring.

Leah Bennett is content with her life. She is passionate about photography, studious, and is perfectly fine with the life she has been living. She accepted that there our are social ladders that certain people fit and she didn't mind, until she met Matthew Jacobs. Meeting Matt felt exactly like she expected other football players felt:

This book is so sweet it will make your teeth hurt. I LOVED our hero and heroine - they are so adorable together. I would go "AWWWWW" practically every other page. Leah is a photography major who is short, brunette, wears glasses and a little sassy, while Matt is a football star, a shy grin, with a somewhat tragic backstory - opposites attract anyone? Plus, they are each other's first and only love.

In regards to OW drama, Matt kissed a girl off the page while he was really drunk and sad, but th

Ok, so here's the deal..I actually read this book before the first book in the series. Matt and Leah's story was a bit more appealing to me and my instinct was right. Not that I didn't like the first book, but Waiting on Forever had a better flow and the character development was much stronger.

Here's what I liked about Leah: she's smart, a bit sassy, and honest. I appreciated the fact that while she did have a mad crush on Matt, she didn't bow down to him just because he was a star at

This was book #2 in the Forever Series. They say it is a stand alone or spin off I say NOPE you HAVE to read book one. When you do you will see the growth of the characters and the author. This book was smarter and sexier if that is possible. I so enjoyed when Collin and Summer came to visit Matt. It brought the first book and the characters right back to you. So see don't skimp, buy book one. Parties, sororities and getting drunk are the opposite of Leah Bennett. Leah is cute and comes equipped ...more

First off let me start out by saying I love ALL of Ashley's writing it's just I think this book is her best by far, each time she puts out a new book you see her writing get more mature, more juicy, and more entertaining, it's kinda like seeing a kid grow into an adult. Leah was nothing like I expected, it's always the quiet ones that have loads to say which I loved, "Sorry, sweetheart. I may be nerdy and quiet, but I don't let stupid people walk all over me." Matt was also nothing that I expect ...more

Matt & Leah's friendship/banter is so cute to watch. Matt is so sweet and sincere that it's a breath of fresh air. Leah is there for Matt when some trying times from his past arise and the support present is key. Matt & Leah both know what they want in life and it's nice to watch their journey to that happiness. Leah is tough as nails and I love to hear about girls sticking up for themselves. Matt & Leah are both dedicated and

Thanks Anna, I hated it. But I love you though.

This book was 9000% one of the biggest train wrecks I have ever read. The MFC, Leah, was a RIDICULOUS excuse for a human being, her love Matthew was a wet blanket who needed to grow a set of balls and the ONLY character I actually felt had some sort of personality was Kayla, Leah's poor roommate who got slut shamed for enjoying sex in fucking college. This book was FULL of stereotypes and some of the most CHILDISH writing I've ever seen from a roman

Hello Fluffy Goodness.

The story of Leah and Matt was just pure sweetness and goodness. Matt, the star football player meets Leah, the "nerdy girl" with a witty biting personality, at freshman orientation and likes her immediately. They continue to communicate through Facebook until one day he meets her in front of her dorm and walks her to class.

Things move quickly from that point. A hand on the back, kiss on the forehead, holding hands, and a first kiss all before Leah can even comprehend wha

LORD OF THE RINGS! What a cool book.
No, not Lord of the rings the book, but WAITING ON FOREVER by Ashley Wilcox.
Dudes, I was hooked and laughed which is such a nice change lately. I love the geeky girl who finds love in a popular jock with a huge heart.
What Leah lacks in popularity she makes up with balls loads of spunk and I love her.
This is such a taylor swift song which is a huge compliment, I promise.

I read this book in a couple of hours. I was hooked from the start. You have Leah, the smart nerdy girl and Matt, the football player. They meet at orientation for their college. They start out as Facebook friends then have French class together. Getting to see each other 3 days a week does wonders for their friendship. I loved the story. Leah was very sarcastic and that was funny to Matt. Matt was sweet and funny. There were a lot of steamy scenes between them. But their relationship was cute. ...more

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. I loved it! It was a sweet, beautiful college romance, that was exactly what my soul needed ,at that moment. The fact that Leah was a little nerdy, and Matt was the hottest dude on campus, made me love it even more. This novel got me from the moment it said ,,Football". I even cried at the end,but I'm not gonna say at which part. And the end , was... AMAZING! 5 stars from me,no doubt! Read it, and you wont regret it!

Just shy of 3 full stars

I thought this was a cute story, but it lacked something for it to be a richer, fuller story. It's too mature to be read by younger audience, but as an adult reading this, I felt it wasn't enough for older audience, like the writing caught this book in between groups. Again, it was cute. Loved that Matt was such a "girl" with his hearts and texting.

I was eager to read this book because I'm a sucker for the nerd-girl-gets-popular-jock plot, no matter how overused it is. I saw that it had a lot of great reviews so my expectations were set high. Unfortunately those were not met.

Thumbs down

The book was classified under the adult age group but I thought it was wrong on two levels: 1) the blurb sounded like a typical YA love story where popularity getting in the way of "love" and 2) they simply were not adu

So I received an arc for "Waiting On Forever" from Ashley Wilcox for an open, honest review. So here goes.
“Waiting on Forever” is based on the story of college students Leah Bennett and Matt Jacobs. Two very different people from two very different worlds. Leah is a loner. She doesn’t really have friends and her life revolves around study and work. No partying, no booze and definitely no boyfriends. Yup that’s her in a nutshell. Matt Jacobs is the polar opposite: he’s a college jock, plays on t

"I've been fallin' since day one."

Waiting on Forever just didn't work for me. I hate to type sentences like that, but unfortunately sometimes I have no choice. This was a quick light read, something others would call fluff. I started out liking it, but somewhere along the line, I just couldn't stay connected. I found it very hard to connect with the heroine. Leah was supposed to be "nerdy," the girl the "jock" fell for. I was looking forward to the sweet shy girl whose focus was on her books, bu

Ashley’s Forever series is so good. I loved the first book and I was so excited to dive into this second book in the series. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

This was a classic tale of the popular boy falling in love with the not so popular girl… I loved every minute of it!
Matthew Jacobs is the popular boy. Star of the football team, most wanted guy on campus, typically he’d date the most popular girl or head cheerleader right? Well not this time. Instead, Matt falls for the girl that is least likely to gr

Waiting on Forever is such a great spin off story to Planning on Forever. It was such a cute, light story of opposites attract and finding love when you least expect it. Matt and Leah's story was a very heartwarming 4 stars for me.

I received this ARC from the author for an honest review.

Football Star meets the nerdy girl at college and falls in love. Yeah, yeah We've read that before. Hold up, because I wouldn't call little Ms. Leah the average nerdy girl or Matt, the stereotypical college football player either. Let me break it down a little better.

We start at a college orientation the hot a$$ football star instantly becomes intrigued with the quirky photography major, Leah.
However, Leah is not impressed. Her witty
