Historia del fin del Universo tal y como lo conocemos según las distintas teorías cosmológicas existentes. Apasionante relato sobre la vida y la muerte de las es estrellas, las galaxias y todo lo conocido, para acabar en un Universo poblado por agujeros negros que se devoran unos a otros. El principio era poco prometedor, pero a partir del segundo capítulo la historia tiene ya un guión. En la sinopsis dice que se trata del destino final del Universo. Yo creo que esa sinopsis está hecha para generar ventas. Es un libro excelente, pero más que el destino final del universo, trata sobre la existencia del universo, sus posibles límites, la entropía, la humanidad y las posibilidades de civilizaciones hipotéticamente avanzadas...Y el final de todo eso. Yo, la verdad, esperaba leer fragmentos sobre el big crush, el big freeze y cosas así, pero resultó que sin nombrar aquello me mantuv ...more

Recommends it for: adults who like science fiction or science fact
I didnt realize the author has written many other books on this and similar topics since Runaway Universe was published in 1978. I'm sure since then that many discoveries have occurred which support theories explained in the book and debunk other theories.

The book succeeds at not being a textbook, but Davies slips too easily from science fact to science fiction in too many places to mention here.
