Shelves: short-stories
This was a nice sampling of what has been called the "modern pulp" movement. Change this cover to a painting in bold yellows and reds of a man having his brain replaced with a computer, and it would be nearly indistinguishable from the stories found in the beloved pulp mags of old (minus, of course, the racism which the old guard would've chosen to include, but which our modern author here is kind enough to leave out).

All in all, pleasant, easy, entertaining reading!

A collection of five short stories, Mr Thompson has given us a sample of his amazing talent for sci-fi. These tales run the gamut from a young man who rents out space in his ‘weird’ brain to companies, to a story of an alien race who infiltrated Earth only to desert it when they figured out it wasn’t worth fighting for.
