Another emotional book in this follow up to book 1! My heart cried for justice to be served, for true love to reign, for peace to be had with Simone and Deon because they both went through some trying times. My heart did dance a little at the blast from the past showing his face. Don't want to give any spoilers so I'm just going to end my review now. But I did notice a mention of a spin off book "The Great Pretender".... I need to find Ms. Cannon and see what's up with that since I do not see any other works released since this one. Love drama, scandal, murder and love, this book won't disappoint!

GROWN FOLKS DRAMA.
Book 2 picked up where Book 1 left off. I can't believe how this series pulled me in.
The author did a great job keeping the story intriguing
This book was full of fast paced twists and turns. It had everything i love for a page turner to have.. Love, Lust, Revenge, Greed, Suspense and Mystery undertones....

When it comes to sequels sometimes they aren't done right and should be left alone, but I must say that This Is Life was just as good as This Can't Be Life. The book picks up right where we left off in part 1 with Simone finding out the love of her life C.B. is down low and still dealing with her best friends death. In this book C.B.'s and Tyron's past are delved into and we finally get to meet C.B.'s wife. Deon is still around but stuck in the friend zone and it's all his fault. At times Simone really annoyed me because of the danger she kept putting herself in, but I loved the way things ended for her. She has had such a rough past, thank God she had Deon, her mother, and friends. Check this book out, you will not be disappointed.
The only reason I did not give this book a 5 Star rating is because the kindle version I downloaded was missing the first word or two on a few pages making those parts a little more difficult to read. I even deleted it and downloaded the book again and still had the same issue.

This book was AWESOME!!!! I am always leery when it comes to sequels; whether a book or movie. Shakara Cannon surprised me. I did not think this book could possible be better than Is This Life, but it most certainly was. This book was a LONG roller coaster ride that tugged at my emotions over an over again. I don't want to give anything away but TRUST you will not be disappointed should you read this book. It's a definite page turner you do not want to put down.

4.5 Good Sequel. This book starts off where part 1 ended. I enjoyed the story from the first page to the last. While reading I was definitely on an emotional rollercoaster Simone has been through so much in the last book and the pain is magnified in part 2,some things she caused by holding on to a grudge, but other things was just because of loving the wrong people. I would definitely recommend this series and can't wait to read about Carlton, Charletta and Tomi in Shakara's next release The Great Pretender.

This book was Awesome!!! Ms. Cannon made these characters so realistic and relatable. Poor Simone went through hell and back! However, I am grateful that she was able to overcome her obstacles and come out on top. The most valuable lesson this book delivers is everything happens in life with meaning and purpose. This was an amazing and fulfilling sequel.......THIS IS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

Good read
Lots of twists and turns, ups and downs in Simone's life. It was nice to see that she came out on top. There was a disconnect with the character Al from book one to book two. Would like to know what he was into causing him to take off in the beginning (book one) only to repair miraculously at the end of book 2. Looking forward to book 3.

Wow great ending
Al came through I thought maybe banks killed Tryon, I was even more surprised that banks released the video I'm happy Simone protected his interest because I believed he did love her despite the fact he is confused about his sexuality. I am happy she got her happy ending.

As with the first book some of the typos really bothered me, but I cannot deny falling in love with the characters. They were just authentic and I loved that. I'm glad I read both books and I look forward to other books by this author.

Love the drama and the storyline.
This was a good follow up to the first book. It shows that love can conquer all. Glad Simone found her purpose.

Simona pissed me off several times throughout the series however had she not it would've been a boring story. Very good writing can't wait for C.Banks' story!

Good Series
It took me a very long time to read this series. While I always want more descriptive dialogues in the books I read, I found there was bit too much in these books. This was an awesome story with twists and turns. Loved how it all played out. There was mention of another book but I didn’t see it. Would love to read more from this author.

Loved it
I read both books and found myself not wanting too stop reading. I loved the strength of Simone and her independent spirit. Deon was a complete surprise to me because I never thought he would go thru so much.

So many twists and turns that will have you anxious to read the next chapter. I loved reading this book and everything moves on God's time not our time was my favorite sentence in the book.
