This is unlike any book I've read...A Real page-turner. PLUS it's unique in the way it utilizes all forms or contemporary mediums....super-creative and fascinating! It enables you to go as deep as you want...from either a weekend read, all the way to extending the story to go on for months, by using the handbook section (which is like an encyclopedia for the Scilestial platform) or using the QR codes at the end of certain chapters that enable you to delve deeper in to story. It contains Google m ...more

Oh my goodness, this book is great. The writing is outstanding, the storyline is amazing and this book does what no other book has ever done: takes the reader into a different realm. The author, M. D. Kaczkowski, has set the stage for a new dimension of writing that will keep even novice readers entertained.

Kaczkowski uses interactive technology, which spans the barrier between the written word and multimedia to bring an incredible story to life. At the end of each chapter are QR codes. By using

This is probably one of the most metaphorically ostentatious books I've ever read, in a good way. Non fiction explained within a fictional story, not one word or character's name is coincidence.

The story is (and warning b/c there might be spoilers) that retired and infamous Detective John Scarcepho is called to help solve a case no one else can. Homeless people are being murdered and their eyes removed with their sockets having been filled with salt water. In their mouths is a page from the New

The world as we know it is breaking down – country after country is rejecting democracy and installing a single leader – King, Emperor or Dictator. Meanwhile, in the USA, ex-cop-turned-PI John Scarcepho is investigating a series of murders in which the victims’ eyes have been removed surgically and the sockets filled with sea water. He is approached by a strange man who introduces him to the world of the Seers, a group of people with the ability to see into the spirit world and observe the battl ...more

This book was quite interesting in it’s layout. There were links to a handy glossary type book, there were even videos and art. Not only in the book but hosted elsewhere. Very interesting, very innovative. It’s just too bad the story wasn’t better. The entire book read like something out of the Left Behind Series. I wouldn’t even really term this as Fantasy more Horror perhaps. The book had one paragraph chapters in it’s ebook format. Which is not only odd, I believe it to be in error. The book ...more

a compelling read that starts with a dramatic cover and leads the reader to an alternate reality. the use of art throughout the book adds to the mystery. the writers knowledge of new york and italian culture shows in the character development and the excellent use of technical venues and glossary adds to the readers understanding of this dystopian world.
