I was awake till 5:30 in the morning reading this book, it was that good. I didn't expect it to be because the one book I have read by this author was unforgettable but this one was awesome. Great characters, great romance, action, a totally well rounded book. The hero is an ICE agent who lives for his job and when he is told to retrieve the heroine he doesn't like the assignment, his black ops team is too good for such an assignment and then complications arise and he is left al
What happens when a black ops team is sent to play taxi cab driver? A non-stop action adventure filled with suspense and a smoking hot romance!

Black operative Diego is sent on a task to transport Vanessa Crosby, mathematical wizard who works in a bank in Panama to the ICE team’s safe house. She has uncovered illegal bank transfers with a specialized program she has created making her a very popular girl. The US government wants her help and the Panama crime lords want her dead.

Hell yeah!.. I wanna be an Asset, and get down and dirty in the undergrowth! ;-)

Vanessa Crosby has been abandoned by everyone in her life. Her mother died in an accident when she was 2 and her father had more concern for his football jocks than his own daughter. Vanessa is now 30, living in Panama and working as an analyst in the criminal’s detection department at a bank. Vanessa is a genius with numbers and in her spare time has created a program that will revolutionize the government’s counter

Most people believe they can make a difference in the world by creating some awesome invention and most do, but not everyone believes they can save the world and then actually go out and do it by defeating low life scum bags that are set on destroying human life.

And those are the hero's every woman dream of, strong, sexy, powerful and deadly, but the drawback is that he is also the kind to never stick around in one place, and sheltering his heart against any emotion is the just part of the job.

Thrilling, romantic, thoroughly entertaining!

Right from the start I could not put this down! Tempted Into Danger had everything I crave for in a romantic suspense story. It had pulse-racing action, delicious slow-burning romance, plenty of tension, and a fast-paced storyline filled with thrills and unexpected moments. The setting in the Panamanian rain forest was exotic and made for such an exciting back drop.

I thought Vanessa and Diego complemented each other very well. Both characters go throu

I really enjoyed reading about how Vanessa and Diego fall in love. They had good chemistry. I loved Diego's words even though at times they seemed a little plain/cliche. But it made him seem vulnerable and more realistic. I especially liked what he liked Vanessa to talk about the most, though I won't give away what it was. I would have probably gotten bored listening to someone talk on and on about this but he liked it and it made it seem romantic and showed that he cared about her.
I saw lots of good buzz on Tempted into Danger. And let me say the buzz was not wrong. I loved it. Action packed and a great story. I've already bought the next book in the series.
Excellent book. It starts out with Diego and his crew being tasked to get Vanessa to a safe house. He's not happy about being a "chauffeur" but ends up glad he was. When they are attacked it is up to him to keep her safe. Vanessa had no idea that the program she wrote would put her in such danger. Now she's on the run with Diego and has to trust him. This is hard for her to do at first. Vanessa's mom died when she was little and her busy father rarely paid any attention to her. She had a hard ti ...more

I don't usually give 5 stars, but this book was so good, I'm bursting with excitement!
Source: ARC from author for review - all opinions are my own.

He was the kind of guy who had trouble saying the right things, especially to a woman. He was one of those alpha males who just didn't like the idea of weakness. He was all macho and tough, but he had a soft gooey center, just like my favorite Lindt Truffles. Diego was so intense, a woman just can't help but fall in love with him. I also pictured

Tempted Into Danger has just about everything you could want in a book. It is action packed, full of suspense and has passionate love scenes. You have an attempted kidnapping, an ambush, car and helicopter chases, a snake, gun fights and a Hero any woman would want. It totally made this reader happy.

Vanessa Crosby works for Riobank in Panama as a senior analyst. With a brilliant mathematical mind that is easily bored, she has developed a computer algorithm program that can detect bulk cash movem

I loved this! I was unsure about it at first, but wow! It was great. The cover almost looks like a 16 year old boy, but hooooly hell. The MAN described in the book is just that. A man. Nothing boy about him.

Do you like action?

Like a lot of action?

You should read this book.

Things go boom.

Lots and lots of boom.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Ok, I am officially hooked on Romantic Suspense after reading Tempted into Danger by Melissa Cutler. It was the one Romance genre that I had always shied away from. Cutler has made me a fan. I felt like I was reading a great action movie, I could visualize every scene. I loved that the heroine, Vanessa, was a math geek… gives us bookish girls hope that there is an Alfa male like Diego just waiting for us and our own adventure. I found that I had to keep turning the page and reading on, I had ...more
I love a good brainy girl meets hot jock story and this one had the extremes for both characters. I love that he loved her brain and I love that it wasn't as drama-cliche as these types of stories tend to be so for that I will give it a 4.5 star.
I thought that this book deserved it after all the sappy crap I've been reading lately. I can't tell you how hard it is to find a good military story that didn't bug me in some way, but I think the shorter length and the easy read made this one a solid r

Fast Paced Read with Non Stop Action!!

I do have to admit that I have had this book on my reading list for a couple of months now. Now that I have read it I can’t believe it took me this much time to read Tempted into Danger. I could not put this book down from the moment that I started reading till the very end. I love romance book especially the one that have men in uniform, military men even more when they are in the Seals or Black Ops. I love the intense moments when the couple is running fro

Diego Santero is beginning to think his job in Black OPS is just to be a chauffeur for people who are on a bad guys "to kill" list. When asked to go and pick up and deliver "the asset" to Panamanian authorities Diego is ready to go AWOL...until he sees the photo of their "asset" Vanessa Crosby. Cute, but wait whats this...a Brainiac??? Now that's hard to top.

Vanessa never dreamed her normal life would end up with her being whisked away from her home and safety, until her apartment is blown up ri

Oh my gosh... I don’t really know where to start with this book. I fell in love with Diego even before reading this book. So imagine my surprise when the book was actually able to back up the hype and then some. TEMPTED INTO DANGER is intense, captivating, and steamy. It had my attention from the very beginning and left me wanting more. I literally devoured the book in a 24-hour period.

I have been looking forward to reading Tempted Into Danger ever since Diego Santero saved the day at the end of Melissa Cutler’s Harlequin debut book, Seduction Under Fire. I’m here to tell you that the wait was worth it!

Diego and his team work black ops for ICE (the Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) a division of the Department of Homeland Security. Their assignment this time is to keep, Vanessa Crosby, an anti-crime analyst, safe from the drug runners that want a mathematical

ICE: Black Ops Defenders book one

Starts off with a lot of drama and action and keeps going till the end. The characters are interesting and you want to know more about them. plot was more like a action film with explosions, car chases and gunfights.

Vanessa developed a program that would help find drug money being laundered through the banks on her spare time. The U.S. wants to use it. Drug dealers want to destory it if they can't get it. Vanessa is smart but has emotional issues of being l

He and his team are tagged to play escort for a bank employee, Vanessa, whose developed an algorithm to track laundered money; his team should be taking out major crime bosses like the Chiaro brothers but instead they're playing chauffeur so ICE can talk to girl and then return her to her apartment. My Review:
Wow, Melissa Cutler can write Romantic Suspense!! Almost from page one, this book is rocking and rolling. Vanessa is a mathematician who works for a bank in Panama. For fun and kicks, she writes algorithms in her spare time to help her job. She's just discovered one that uncovers some of the underbelly of Central America....the kind that comes with selling of nuclear submarines. Suddenly everyone is interested in her...mostly to kill her and bury her algorithm.

Just another day as a Black Ops special agent or at least that is what Diego thought. He was irritated that his assignment was nothing more than being a glorified chauffer but he was bound to make sure they planned for the unexpected and if along the way they could blow something up it would be a great day. His asset, Vanessa Crosby and math genius, created an algorithm to find bulk cash smuggling; something she did on her own to challenge herself, and now his bosses want to talk to her
This book was fast-paced and pretty exciting! I especially liked the first half involving a brief survivalist side plot as Vanessa and Diego trudge through the jungles of Panama to escape danger. The rest of the book's criminal conspiracy plot ended up feeling a bit tedious, but was a quick read through nonetheless.

I listened to the audio book version of Tempted into Danger, narrated by Holly Fielding--while it wasn't terrible, it also wasn't my best experience with an audio book narrator, so I
Tempted by Danger was one sexy thrill ride, you got a smart mathlete, jungle, bad guys on the hunt and one dark, hot, sexy special ops hero who does everything in his power to keep the math genius safe. Tempted by Danger has lots of action, excellent writing and the perfect balance of romance and suspense! I want more, like right now! Gimme. Melissa Cutler is a force of romantic suspense nature! She got you hooked immediately and before you know what's happening she's made you invested on the ma ...more

I very much enjoyed TEMPTED INTO DANGER. All to often when I am reading a romance, I have a lot of issues with two people falling in love and wanting to spend the rest of their lives together when they have just met a couple days ago. Ms. Culter however set up circumstances where it is more then possible due to the level of danger that the main characters find themselves in. It really does add spice and an urgency to find one's mate.

Vanessa fits the bill exactly when the phrase 'plucky heroine'
