Absolutely enjoyed reading this well researched and compiled collection of the greatest detective shows ever. Remember watching so many of those shows together with my dad: Cagney and Lacey, Cannon, Department S, Hart to Hart, Ironside, Kojak, Miami Vice, Mike Hammer (we loved Stacy Keach being the best Mike Hammer), Nero Wolfe, Spenser for Hire (never missed an episode), Starsky and Hutch (remember the Ford Torino), TJ Hooker... the 80s were the best TV decade ever. Love the memory and unforgettable shows. Here you'll meet all those cool dudes again. Highly recommended!

I had not realized how much I loved Detective/cop shows. I watched so many over the years and even these days my only must see TV are Castle, Bones, NCIS and Rizzoli and Isles. Of course, as usual I was disappointed in the two books because several shows that I watched and loved were not listed. I am going to check and see if there is an updated version which brings the last twenty years of television into play but first on to the Cult TV Comedies.
